    Thanks for this! Glad to see someone do it herself. Not everyone can afford an expensive hairstylist.

      You don’t even know what the stylists charge for this service so how would you know if the service is expensive or not? I’ve seen some salons charge $125 for this service which isn’t a lot.

      @@Heavenseventeen In regard to affordability with women, it’s really about what you feel like paying. Not what you can really afford. People pay for what they really want. You just don’t want to pay a stylist.

      Hi. How did they do it at the salon- I believe there are 3 versions, one where the hair is not flat ironed, if you only wanna wear your hair curly, one where it's flat ironed 3 times if you want to go between straight and curly, and another where it's flat ironed about 7 times if you want it to remain straight. How long after getting it done did you get braids and how exactly did your hair snap off?

    • @retrogirl5422
      @retrogirl5422 2 года назад

      @@beingnaturall I had it straightened, but it was after the 2nd occasion the breakage occurred ( I would wear my hair curly inbetween) just using Uncle Funkys Daughter products. I plaited it maybe week 6 after Texture release. My hair has broken and I’ve had to cut 3inches off. But now I feel like doing the big chop again lol

      Sooo I did this treatment last year and let me just say my hair turned out beautiful. But idk if I had an allergic reaction or if I just go a bad batch but I believe it was the 3rd day after the treatment my scalp was itching like crazy. The months following that I noticed my hair becoming thinner and thinner. Again I don’t know if I got a bad batch ( by bad I mean old ass box from Walmart that was expired), if I’m allergic or maybe left something on my scalp too long but I’m scared y’all. My hair thinned a lot. I’m wondering if maybe I should have just went to a professional. I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. My hair isn’t too bad but it’s bad enough to me because I notice the thinning :( Please be careful ladies and maybe just go to a professional. I currently have my hair in a protective style to limit manipulation and I‘ve been taking viviscal for the thinning hair. I will be back if anyone wants updates or has questions 😢

    You have beautiful hair!!!! And I want to do this treatment to now! After you washed your hair, you blowed dried and straightened it. I have 3c texture do you think it would be possible to blow dry my curls as they are / or do a roller set, instead of flat ironing?

    • @sassycici123
      @sassycici123  2 года назад +1

      Thank you 😘. A roller set should work just fine. The heat from a flat iron will just loosen your curls even more.

  • @Ebs2424

    This is no different than a keratin treatment. The hair looks damaged look at it when wet. Your hair will get thin and fall out 😂 I’ve had this happen to me all while paying the salon over $600 per session and after the 4th time, chucks of my hair fell out. Your gonna be using a lot of heat too which will lead to more damage. I had to big chop to less than a inch of hair. Don’t be like me and hate your natural hair pattern. Learn to love what you have and watch it thrive. Keratin and relaxed hair is dead and brittle and will break off eventually usually within a 10 year period. 2 years later my hair is thick and full and already way past bsl. Stop trying to find ways out of your natural hair and love it. Wash days don’t take 4 hours if you know what your doing and have a good regimen. Stop being DELUSIONAL 😮
