- The weakest link out of the Prince vessels, and certainly a ship I would not want to find myself playing on Chaos Mode. Unless I was missing something critically important on screen or within the pre-combat/storage check, I don't believe there's a feasible way of playing into the gimmick of the ship. Fortunately the sellables on the ship perfectly add up to purchasing Shields in Sector 1 even without taking a singular fight, so that's relatively some saving grace to consider. Prince himself reminds me a lot of those heavy-off brand but still functional unique crew in base Multiverse, like the ones you'd only have to rely on if you're playing the Limit cruisers. The ones that immediately comes to mind are like, Guntput and Iwrin. There's no real way to describe or illustrate this precisely without some sort of video example, but take into consideration the dedicated Crewsers for them. Irwin's especially. Someone posted an insightful comment on my unique crew tier list from way back when, and they put it into pretty good terms: Irwin and friends are basically just win-more variables. You can see how critically vulnerable and insignificant they are in the early game when you're forced into playing with them, but then late game when all that's really on your mind is just killing bosses, they finally show some practical use.
Phew, that was a lot of ramble. But for good reason, I think? Anyways, this run wasn't anything very substantial. There's already more than enough evidence to show this, but Augustus is likely the next crew in Forgotten Races to be murdered with a nerf. Well, okay Pok wasn't really nerfed into the ground; he's still perfectly useable. But the strat before was generally to immediately push for a Pok mimicking Pony Jerry for very little effort besides the advanced lab upgrade and mind control counter. Now all of that insta-win relevance and reputation falls upon Augustus: hoard about ~800 scrap and you will be able to win against any enemy in the entire game. Is it absurdly unbalanced? Honestly yeah, because even in the mid-game once you start hoarding, Augustus begins to solely win the run for you. Slots A and B of Augustus' vessels were very powerful for that reason.
