I watched this like twice. I noticed the prices on each brand and started crying. I also noticed most models were natural and they didn’t really look too artificial in their makeup and outlook. The Thermocool advert had other brands in each fridge freezer and was ready to share their brand experience with other brands. That’s the power of team work and uplifting other brands. Not what we have today. Finally, Unilever or rather Lever Brothers then we’re the leading ones when it came to soap opera sponsor ads!!! Woow! I could go on and on...Many thanks for the initiator of this channel! Blessings🙏🏼👏🏻👏🏻👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Same here oo... I cried. I grew up watching these ads and singing rubbish while watching that year. See the prices now...oh my God! Where did we miss it in this country???
I'm happy to have experienced this era of advert. Then everyone paid attention to TV not social media. It must have been expensive to pay for an advert then because people were glued to their TV. Quality adverts were in between nice shows then.
That joy girl stayed on TV for a long time... I didn't think much of it then, Wow! But now I see it could easily be the best Nigerian Ad ever! certainly, top 3. I loved the Thermacool Ad back then, and I had to repeat both again and again.
Bro, I watched the first ad and just stopped there. I skipped back several times cos I used to love this ad in particular. I even visualize those cut scenes. I now truly understand what nostalgia means.
We still have the resources and revenue to have the old life. But large-scale looting of the treasury, incompetence and lack of patriotism has doomed the country. For instance, NNPC will make $60 billion, and declare that they had no revenue. So, Nigeria's revenue is going into private foreign accounts. And no one cares. Embezzlement and corruption are bad enough, the worst is absolute indifference to Nation building. The leadership lacks patriotism, and the country has been drifting. Even the few that want to make a difference have no clue. They are doing the opposite of the practice in advanced nations.
LMAO @ that condom advert. I remember my little head asking my mum how they managed to package 'raincoat' in a small pack and why my own raincoat which I wore to school was bigger. It's so funny looking back now. 😀😀😀
I am moved to tears watching these old adverts, especially when I noticed that the prices were unbelievably cheap in kobos, can Nigeria still have an experience close to those days again? I called my Mom more than four times while watching, as if to bring her out from her grave to see what Nigeria had turned to!!!!
Oh my goodness! What a nostalgic experience! I could still remember and sing along with some of these commercials! Oh what a time that was! When our naira was strong, when the country was safer, when childhood was sweeter! May God save us and give us back our glory days!
Oh my goodness! This nostalgia is really huge. I can't believe everything still sounds very familiar! Oh my! I still remember every single one of them. Wow, those days were really fun. Thank you so so much.
I cried. Those were the times that life was good. Imagine, items were in the kobos then. The late MKO's party commercial made me cry some more. How I wish things turned out differently.
I love these commercials they bring back so many memories of my childhood and yes I use some of these products back then and I can honestly say they pretty much work and yes I still use them to this day man those were the good old days
This old advert brings back all d sweet memories back in the late 80s when I was a kid, I can still remember all dis advert,I feel like 😭 crying, cos things have changed in terms of quality, durability and prices. Imagine getting some of this products back then in Kobo and not in Naira. May the soul of my PARENTS and younger bro rest in peace. Surely dis advert brings back memories
Good old days memories.. Love it. Please can you find the vicks lemon plus rap advert, I was the male lead model. It was 1994 or 1995.. We were in bus, arrived at a bus stop and we were sharing the sweets to people.. Regards

Lmaoooo that premier ad I always used to wonder why they were all bathing at the sink 😂 and then even if you’re doing rub and shine why do it together ?😂
Dr, I have a belly ache and a double double shake. You've got engine fatigue. I love that one. Anyone remember the one about Nku cream. I played a leading role in a youth dramarised play. " A man of character" The hero refused to yield to temptation to give or acceot a bribe. I can't quite remember as it was over 40 years ago. Will love to see the play if it's available.. I acted Kobina.
Today 1st August 2024 I'm watching this feeling somehow. Oh my Nigeria🇳🇬 😢. Did you see the prices? Elephant Blue Detergent was 60 Kobo, while Omo was 68 Kobo. Blue Band N1.50K... The good old days.. No one even remembers the Kobo anymore.
When the family and family name still meant something. When teenagers caught kissing were seen as equal to drug dealers today. When smoking was equal to going directly to hell, when smoking Weed was equal to being the most terrible person ever.
As much as i would like to say corruption, oil e.t.c (which is actually the case) the real reason is that we polluted God's churches but don't worry the second part of pa elton's professy is yet to be established.
Now we have Kidnappers, hook-up girls, pick pockets, and the like. Good old days. I'm glad I witnessed all these adverts. So nostalgic.
We were young, we had nothing ,but we were happy
I agree 100%
U got the right words dear....
Amen to that, these bring back many childhood memories!
You can say that over and over again.
100%. Still remember the words of these ads.
As a country, We were more united then but we didn't know. These adverts are deeper than we may suspect. Thanks for sharing.
Rest assured your present will become nostalgic too.
Cherish the moment.
Very very true
I was part of the OMO advert at the birthday party, the one with the white long-sleeve shirt. It was filmed somewhere in Festac.

No matter where you go, there's no place like home. Dunno why old memories are beautiful.
Couldn't hold back the tears. The nostalgia is huge! The good old days

That blue band Margarine lied to me and my family. I ate that stuff almost everyday and thought i would be a better footballer. Grew fat instead. 😂

Ava soap had an irresistible fragrance when I used it in the 80's / 90's.
Till date as Eva soap now
I don't think AvA soap is in the market today due to competitors. There was a country.😚
It was then natural... can't tell if it's still has it smell like it used to
