Hi Kate, I followed the steps to watch your masterclass, but once I got my email link, it takes me to a page which at it's header reads, 'Masterclass, do not close window', with no video loading in the center of page. Is there a way this can be remedied?
@@creatornat Most likely you either missed the time slot you signed up for or the start time hasn’t come yet (in the watch room early). If you’re there early before the time you signed up for, it will start right on time. If you missed the specified time, you can go back to the registration page to re-register for the next time :)
This is amazing - your channel is exactly what I’ve needed as I explore starting an Etsy store. Thanks so much for being so clear about the inner workings of the process! ❤
Somehow I bump into your channel and I am inspired to create my own etsy shop since I already have some digital products that I have created. Your channel is so informative and striaght to the topic. I find it really useful. This is a great way to start some passive income. Trying to stay motivated. Thank you for sharing information for FREE! Thank you so much and God bless you.
I will add that if you are selling POD T shifts for example, don't expect to get noticed with just 10-20 listings. There is a reason that new shops can be seen with over 1000 sales very quickly.
You definitely can buy ads also aren’t necessary. I had success without using them for the first two years and leaned into building with organic growth. BUT if you have some room in your budget, not a bad idea to test them out and see if they help!!
Great video! I just started my page a couple of weeks ago and am trying to get the hang of the site. Do you have a suggestion to how many listings I should have up when starting? I only have a few and do not want people to be put off by the low amount of listings or sales. Thanks for all of your help!
Typically we recommend at least a few listings but don’t feel the need to have 50 listings up on day one. If it were me, I’d probably start with 7-12 listings for a physical niche and about 15-25 or a digital or POD niche. But it also won’t hurt to do more.
@@KateHayes Thank you for your reply! My shop name is Green Breeze designs and I am realizing the digital downloads field for organizers and planners is really competitive. Do you have any advice for trying to enter this market? (Or maybe there's a video?)
Hey friend! I totally get that. This is meant to be a more general overview of the three strategies. I break them down step by step inside of my Etsy Income Academy program! You can check out the link for the free masterclass below if you’re interested :)
Are you meaning like doing a collab with another Etsy seller? If so, yes, you could do something like a joint giveaway but you’d just want to make sure the seller you’re partnering with isn’t a direct competitor- but someone who sells something “complimentary” to yours :)
Hi Maam I hope your okay and fine, I just want to ask why etsy shop always say must have a draft shop, must have an open shop when it is my first time creating an etsy shop seller account and trying to list my products but it always say that i am frustrated I hope your see this Maam I hope you help me because its very frustrating that this etsy website sh** is doing this to me
thank you Kate it's fantastic to listen to your video but I have a question I'm from Algeria and I don't know if I can benefit from the etsy platform as a seller of digital products
Excellent as always!! Quick question do I need to have my web page builded , for my landing page I already have my company email account with a provider but hasn't do any progress.
Is there any free recommendations that you could give me about keywords. Like is there a free place where I could use a Keyword tool? Everything I come across tries to charge me .
want to start a shop selling print on demand phone cases using AI as part of the design process. I have a limited budget. I am a photographer. However, my house is a nondescript condo and I'm self conscious about my poorly kept up hands. I don't have the addition resources to buy a bunch of designs for the phones. So, I am left with the option of mockup. I do have the skills to make mockups using Photoshop which I am quite experienced with. I would have to find a model and I have a potential model. However, at most with this model I would be able to get 3-5 mockup shot i think. I was also concerned that the mock-up might not all fit with all my customers. For example, if I create a mock up shot in a chic home and drop a design made for Goths. Will that work. Because of all these problems I was reconcidering shooting on one background but is this a mistake?
observe and see what other people are doing. Such as how a similar shop to yours have set up their shop. What kind of mockups they are using. I am trying to set up my Etsy shop which is for business thank you cards and I realized that Boho mockups are quite popular among those sellers. Also their mockups are backgrounds are quite consistent to keep similar theme of the shop. So maybe you can use some neutral that works for all kinds of cases. Or you can create two different styles a brighter one and darker one. I know mockups are important but don’t worry too much about them. If your product is good then it will definitely stand out. Best of Luck
Kate, I love the idea of a collab, but as an animal/fantasy artist, I am kinda stumped as to who I am collabing with. All I can think of are other artists, but I am not sure how to collab with another similar artist for this purpose. Any suggestions?
Just an idea. Look for complementary collabs. People who could value your art physically or digitally. Or they like yours to add to their bundle. Look around of whats your customer is interested and then just reach out, test and learn.
Your comment is funny, if you watched the video she just gave you 20 minutes of free advise. Not sure if you watch other videos from her but it takes time to create content, A LOT of time. You should try to create a video and edit it, it will be fun!
Why can’t you give away everything at ur shop for free? Why does my hair stylist charge me? Do you work for nothing? 🤣 You got 20 min for free if you want more you pay for it. There is plenty of free content online it’s your choice to buy it.

Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it! :)
Do you recommend using Esty ads in the beginning ? Does it help ?

How many of those first sales are enough to get the ball rolling? Are we talking five sales? Ten? One hundred? Thanks.
Great informative video!🎉

What email service provider are you using? If it has the capability for landing pages, you can easily get a landing page set up in a day!
Is there any free recommendations that you could give me about keywords. Like is there a free place where I could use a Keyword tool? Everything I come across tries to charge me .
The Etsy search itself can actually be a good free way to perform keyword research! EverBee also has a free plan, with limited searches.
