That will come in handy!
Hi which would be the kit to be used on a Skoda Octavia Mk1?
Hello. Please email media@forgemotorsport.co.uk with the make, model, year, and engine size of your Octavia, thanks
Hi will it fit the i20 n line 2022 1 ltr turbo 120 bhp thanks
Hi Kirk, if you email us with model details, engine code, and a photo of your engine bay, we can confirm this for you! media@forgemotorsport.co.uk
Can you explain the technical differences between atmospheric and recirculating? Assuming the original is recirculating, does installing the atmospheric require a remap or in any way affect the ECU?
Hi Kaitek, thank you for your query!
Firstly, atmospheric valves push the pressure build up from the turbo into the atmosphere, or out of the engine. Recirculating pushes the air pressure back through the inlet and around the engine!
Our valves do not affect the ECU and are all designed to ensure this. You also do not need a remap to install any of our valves as well.
I hope this helps :)
@@forgemotorsport Thanks, what I don’t understand is - if the car is expecting the air pressure to be sent back to the engine, and we dump it out to the atmosphere - then surely some or other sensor will register a pressure loss, and possibly an error? Feel free to go full geek, I would really like to understand this before I buy one.
@@michal8kowalik Hi Kaitek,
No problem. Yes you are correct, however, it is still sat in a range that the ECU deems safe.
We test all vehicles extensively before releasing the product, and with these valves we have never had any issues :) It's part of the reason why we purchased our own i20N so that we could develop the product for both track level performance and daily driving - our latest Project N video shows the i20N at the Dyno as stock, we will release more videos that show more about the increase in performance soon if you are interested :)
It’s not so much that the engine is actively expecting the added pressure, but there is a potential disadvantage in venting all the excess pressure to air. A recirculating diverter valve (the stock item that comes with the car) redirects the excess pressure back in front of the turbo. This means that when the the accelerator is next pressed the turbo is still pressurised and so hopefully still spinning and so lag is reduced. If you vent to atmosphere then you are entirely relying on the inertia of the turbo as there is then no ‘spare’ pressure to help keep the turbo turning and turbo lag may be increased as the turbo has to spool from still. If boost is very high (so actively mapped higher and likely with a more powerful turbo) then recirculating the air may not be sufficient and in such cases part, or full, release to atmosphere may be an advantage. I see the Forge design does not allow variable choice between atmosphere and recirculating but others do.
Will it fit a standard i20 from 2017?
No unfortunately this won't! Apologies.
Hello, Does your channel open to work with amazon sellers?
Hello! What does this entail?
Will this kit work on the hyundai 1.0 tgdi cars as well?
We do not yet have confirmed fitment on this model, if you are able to send us your engine code, registration, and other model details of the vehicle to us, we can find out for you!
@@forgemotorsport where can i send this information?
@@RobVee. media@forgemotorsport.co.uk
Do you know if it fits ?
@@GiovanniMarijnissen Did you email us the information we requested? :)
hiu please contact regarding red shift knob for cn7
Hi Damien, if you can send photos to sales@forgemotorsport.co.uk of your gear knob, and mention you are after this product: www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Intercoolers_and_Radiators/Hyundai_i30N_and_Veloster_N_Gear_Knob--product--1908.html - they can see if this gear knob would fit :)
@@forgemotorsport I got one thanks! Got lucky
I assume recirculating would basically sound the same as stock?
In terms of sound yes :)
@@forgemotorsport OK thanks, so should I tire of being immature and no longer want the sound I can revert without going back to factory 👍
Yes! With this valve in particular as well, you don't have to buy a new valve, it can be interchanged between a dump valve and recirculation. Check out the website listing for more information - www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/Hyundai_i20N_Atmospheric_and_Recirculating_Dump_Valve--product--2117.html@@Spilner1001
@@forgemotorsport I've been eyeing it up already, along with the turbo inlet and oil cap, going for a red theme in the engine bay though 👍
Can we hear it?

Literally can't find any videos on how your BOV sounds on any 2.0 N car.
