I have a 71 k10 crew cab that i am building and have done alot of the same things you are. I bought single low profile speaker boxes and then screwed those to 1/2 mdf and it worked pretty well. I have the same mufflers and really like the sound. Even with my kilmat my single chambers where way too loud so the FX series made the driving experience so much nicer. I am going to be putting it on a 99 ram 2500 chasis and will probably make a series about it. Awesome build man.

26 yr old here - I'd use factory mounting locations for the rear seat personally. These CCSB's are low on rear leg room from the factory IMO.
