  • My Friends at Petzl sent over the Petzl Eject for me to try. I've been having great fun playing around with the amazing innovative gadget. It's the smoothest pulley I've ever used with some awesome features that are a pleasure to use while in the tree. Retrieving this piece of kit is a breeze with their quick release technology allowing you to pull the whole system from within the tree or safely on the ground. I highly recommend it! It's also cheaper than its competitors without sacrificing quality.
Also you'll hear my general thoughts on the industry.
Thanks for clicking on another Tpott's Trees video. I really hope you enjoy/enjoyed what you see.
Feel free to subscribe and join the community. Full of arborists like me , as well as others interested in knots, climbing, nature and much more!
Be sure to leave a comment, I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. Have a great day and stay safe out there!

Thanks for another good and informative video. It's nice to see a few UK arborists appearing on RUclips and presenting things from our perspective. Particularly the advantages of 2 ropes in many of the situations encountered in Blighty!

That was a great prune to watch, the little echo is perfect for it, and nice one Pretzl. That can change the way you work and save a lot of re-climbing. What a view at the end!

Another cracking video mate - I understand some people’s reticence with moving to two lines but I learned on two so I really like the stability and work positioning it gives especially in larger and more spready trees.

I think so too, I learnt on one back in 2017 but I still like two. Its a little slower but safer, I've been working with lots of other sub contract climbers and I've been faster than all of them using two and they all use one ( they also one hand/ cut and hold with the chainsaw too 👀🤦🏻)

I won’t pretend to be a saint I do cut and hold very occasionally but only small stuff. If it’s bigger I either snap cut or use two slings. I’m not too fussed about speed as I’m getting quicker with experience- my idea of a good job is neat, tidy, no breakages and no injuries:)

Looks sweet man, havent used the eject myself but i do use the naja alot wich is a really nice device to, it also has a pully so it is super smooth but there ar a lot less parts to it wich makes it less delicate and easier to inspect

Top notch pruning and climbing Sir, I like the format as well. Your narration as you work is excellent. I climb on a pulley saver with a Z.Z, it's the balls! The Echo 2511t is the best small climbing saw ever made. I love mine for thinning and pruning, especially with a 1/4" set up on a 10" bar, 👍😁💪🔨🌲🇮🇪
