    Are you worried about the bottom of the rope wrench interfering with the top of your VT prusik? It seems like you would want a bit more clearance between the two devices.

      @@KhalidElassaad you can actually use the rope wrench to collapse the knot. Some people even put a shorter tether to make it even closer :)

      ​@@TPOTTS_TREES but why would you want that? I'm new to this - my thinking is that you only want to collapse the knot intentionally. I mean... I guess the VT would slide down until it's clear and the rope wrench would "bite" as you're sliding and release the knot, so you would catch? I'm still overcoming my gear fear lol

    I can't believe they don't have an actual pocket on the outside to store gadgets, or even just some daisy chain to clip things to! Dealbreaker for me unfortunately. The Arbortec Cobra bags are more in line with what I think a useful bag design looks like.

      @@ArbitraryLifestyle the small bags have loops on the inside of the bag for crabs and such and a zip pocket on the outside. The larger bags have loops on the inside and outside and a zip pockets for bit. I've found them to be a great durable kit bag that I use everyday but yes there are many great options to choose from :)

    Excellent video showing many aspects of SRT. Did I recognise the arched viaduct in the background as being near a famous spa town in North Yorkshire, I know there are a few similar viaducts? I use the rope wrench and VT hitch set up myself. There's lots of different rigs but find it easier to stick with one you know and are comfortable with.

      @@alexbouchard3880 yes that's one thing that you can't do. It's almost more like a sling and a pulley rather than a cambium saver. If you want one like a cambium saver then the art rope guide may suit your needs more

    Stick a 12” sugi bar, felling dogs and a muffler mod on and the saw turns into a little weapon. No point comparing it to other top handles as it’s a 25cc saw so obviously won’t eat through bigger wood as well. Seriously light weight so perfect for moving in the canopy yet still packs a punch when you need it!

      @@jacknottingham9492 I know people who have. You could end up becoming a sales rep if you join a large company. I know a guy who did 2 years on the tools then started selling the work and went more office based as he was a good people person. If you feel fit and healthy then you'll be fine. I'd nether detour you. It is a young man's game however, I know a lot of people who start climbing less mid 30s to 40s due to injuries. The injuries usually happen doing tree work for years so if you're feeling fresh then it's worth giving it a go. The starting wage is pretty poor though so if youve got used to a expensive lifestyle and have bills to pay and a family to support you may struggle financially for the first few years

So many videos teach how to tie knots, but unless you have a need for them, you've never heard of them. I'm looking for videos about knots and how I can use them in my daily life.
