As a Forza player, TCM sounds are a 10/10. Tge gear shift sounds are what makes them so pleasing to hear
Good
The clutch break bash noise is lit
I hate how Forza gets 90% of shit done right, then they have to fuck up with those atrociously sounding cars....
@@Titansilber.540i Honestly the sounds in FH prevent me from enjoying the driving. If I log into the game every 2 month because a nice car was added. I only put some rims on it (most likely doesn't have anything other to cutomize), do a single race, and close the game.
While in Assetto Corsa or other games, I can just cruise around for hours. Maybe I'm setting weird priorities, but it's that important to me
The only car that sounded just way off to me was TCM’s 350Z. I think Horizon 5 had a bug where the 350Z and one of the M3’s had their sound files swapped, wonder if the same thing happened in The Crew somehow lol.
Horizon 5 has too much resonance for my tastes and it makes the cars sound flat, like it’s all midrange. It’s probably technically less accurate, but I prefer TCM’s engine sounds that just sound like they were recorded in a studio.
Also, still don’t know what Playground Games has against Hondas lol. Every single Honda engine sounds sampled from one with an Autozone universal muffler.
Actually surprised by the quality in TCM. Definitely on the radar now for me.
You gotta hear that hellcat 😂
@@bokc_nonpopularsalt1011did you not watch the video??😭
@@ruggs0_037 Nawww you gotta skip to it 😭
It will be interesting to see how disappointed you are, I'm definitely not going to buy it for the premiere seeing how The Crew 2 disappointed me
@@AresakaWilku what racing game to you mainly play?
I’m not going to be biased here. I personally think both games have nailed the car sounds. Some cars in TCM sound better than in FH5 and vice versa. I think the Turbo’s are easier to hear with TCM but some of the actual car sounds are a tad off, but same can be said for FH5. Forza have absolutely nailed the sounds of the Lamborghini Aventador and the R34 Skyline. Where as TCM have nailed the sounds of most V8 engines like the Camaro. All up I think neither game should be ashamed of the car sounds, both have done an amazing job at getting the sounds as accurate as possible.
Well said
You do you, but FH5 didn't nail it at all.
lol forza's sounds are far from nailed
@@Dawdo-wf1xsso is the crew
The R34 and Aventador definitely are NOT where they need to be in Forza bro. TCM takes this one easily.
there is so much more life in the crew sounds now
I love the realistic car sound in fh5 but the gear shifting between gears in the crew is insane
It's too much loud
@@DR0828ya fr some gear shift in forza jus rlly sound terrible to me idk how ppl like but hey we all got our own opinions
it's annoying, not insane
@@VerybadbikerChildren tend to exaggerate these things since they are fanboys of one game or another 😂
Ye, I guess it’s a preference.
0:26 the huracan sounds SO GOOD!!!
The crew had a huge glowup in sound development
After playing the closed beta. I’m satisfied with the car sounds this time around but remember when they trashed Horizon for adding a lot of synthetic sound effects to the engine sounds? motorfest goes well beyond that lol. You can legit hear every car upshift as if it was a sequential gearbox. I’m not tryna hear that unless it has a sequential box.
I completely agree with you but I think as the average player or even thinking back to being a kid those extra sound effects might just give more character to the game honestly
@@lucky7th331it definitely gives a more mechanical feel to all the newer cars. Instead of the filtered synthy sounds.
I remember when NFS mixed a bunch of car sounds together in earlier games and it seriously paid off
For the TCM part of the vid, they are playing with sequential gearbox. There is the green little dot indicating he is at least in manual, and you can hear and see how for example with the Urus, he shifts too early for the first 3 gears with the 4th gear being longer in consequence
Yea I can't lie I'm not a fan that every car sounds like a sequential gearbox especially the fact that you can hear that shift sound in the third person view. It makes in unrealistic. The Crew 2 had better sound for the shifting part as cars with paddle shifter you would hear a click and h pattern would have a shift knob sound but you would only hear it the first person view. I hope they change it because it makes every car sound very aggressive
I'm more of a Forza fan but man I have to give it to The Crew here
Forza is dogshit
TC2 was pretty damn solid overall. But TC MF really takes the cake compared to TC2 and Test Drive Unlimited (2024).
Same here bud
Nah it's overpriced and overrated
TCmf some of the cars sound good but I’m giving it to forza on this one Because excessively loud superchargers sounds
8:18 I mean the Skyline already convinced me, but goddamn, that Zonda sound💖
I think Hot Pursuit 2010 did the Zonda best tho
@@bren2274 No doubt. But I love how it sounds in Horizon 5 also. Really close to the real car
Horizon Skyline sounds better though. Same for the Zonda, the one in TCM sounds too low revving and deep.
I think the R34 GTR sound in TCM from my perspective, it sounds a lot better than in FH5 because bone stock R34 is a 'twin turbo' RB26 engine. And that is a proper stock RB26 sound, which is why I love it😍. The TCM developer made such an amazing job on sound department. For FH5 tho, the car sounds amazing as well no doubt but it's sounds like it has a single turbo RB26 which the stock car doesn't sound like that in real life. It would be awesome if they added like a 'Aspiration Conversion' or 'Exhaust Modification' for tuning into the game just to differentiate the sound when the car is built. For the Zonda, I think they need tweak that engine sound because in FH5 the car sounds amazing compare to TCM. I hope they need to fix that. Yeah for Zonda, FH5 get the W but for the R34, it has to be TCM.
@@Toxic2T that's how most skyline's sound like. The only way you can get a high pitched noise out of it is you have a tomei exhaust. So i would say that TCM is more realistic here
Some of the sounds in TCM remind me of the old NFS games. Great glow-up from older titles in The Crew.
I’ve heard some old nfs devs worked on this crew
the crew has always been good
It kinda reminds me of NFS shift 2 unleashed
@@playz_t yea i think there are some blackbox developers in Ivory Tower

I like your analysis
The only thing that Motorfest has to improve is the environment and colors, looks kinda dead. But guess can’t really complain, it not the released game.
@@schwuppdiewupp7 Environment is spot on fym. And for the style of the game, colours is fine too.
@@schwuppdiewupp7 You may need to adjust whatever screen ur using, it looks mad vibrant.
@@TheGuitarMan71 Same here, but to be honest I prefer that insane electric car sounds Motorfest has.
both are amazing; but i love how the crew gave the electric car sound a bit of spice by making it sound like an engine with turbo blowoff sounds; very cool. Can't wait to try the game when it comes out
the electric cars are also more realistic in tcm, the taycan actually sounds like that, its mad
meanwhile forza seems to use the same sound for every ev
taycan have a sport sound option so they add artificial sound. You can look it up
They did good this time, but I'm not convinced of the weird shifting sound, sometimes its so loud and unnecessary it almost sounds like a gunshot sound effect from mw2 😅
This.
Motorfest excels in the deep, bass-y V8 sounds, while Horizon nails the high pitched screamy V12 sounds
That's real
I agree but in fh5 cars like a Nissan gtr r34 sounds pretty much the same as a Ferrari v12 or Lamborghini your telling me an inline 6 has the same pitch as a v12 cmon…. Still a great game though
For the F1 specifically I prefer Horizon.
Some high pitched cars sound better in Mf
@@xtremereplays5029you're actually talking about FH4 here.... FH5 R34 sounds NOTHING like V12
Nah the deceleration sound of the evija is crazy 8:57
Crew did the sounds good enough, but why does it sound like the cars explode when they shift gears. BANG!
That annoys me too, not every car has nls lol
The cars popping when they shift was such a nice touch. That alone makes TC motorfest win for me.
Not realistic
@@sarahwood8943cry

The gear shifting sounds on the crew are so good
somewhat addicting icl
@@ThatLoudLadI was thinking the same thing and also the shifts sound more mechanical the older the car it’s so nice
For dual clutch paddleshifter cars, it sounds weird. I hope they fix that weird wobbly sound for the paddleshifter cars like they did in The Crew 2
Nah it sounds like a bat whacking you on the gearshifts, the thump is fking bullshit.
@@bottomtext593 be thankful the cars sound more mechanical and not electronical that's all I'm going to say, more alive than Forza XD
5:10 I just have a heart attack. HOLY SH*T, THIS AUDIO WORK IS JUST SO GOOD. Very well Ubisoft!
The sound is so different because in FH5 the sounds of the road and wind are also strongly audible, and the sound of the engine seems to be taken exactly from the distance at which the camera is located. In TCM, there are almost no sounds of the road and wind, this can be understood by comparing electric cars. And the sound of the engine seems to be recorded from the car muffler or engine. One is realistic, the other is pleasant to listen to.
+ tire noise
I'm not sure you're right, but sound design is largely artistic choice. In this case, I find MF audio to be more enjoyable. It's hard to say FH5's is realistic per say...in what reality are you driving a car from 10 feet behind it? haha
When I'm driving a Mustang I don't want to hear the sound of wind hahahahahahahaha
@@XR4turbohe’s obviously saying when your driving in the cockpit it’s different then 3rd person which is a very good point. They need to make a comparison for im in the cabin
FH5 sounds are nothing realistic, the engines sound like some robot stuff. TCM is way more realistic.
I like the more realistic car engine sounds in FH5 but Motorfest's gear shifting and clutch break sound effects are way cooler. The electric cars sounds in FH5 was boring and almost feels like you're driving a wet carpet. But TCM got some bassy and meaty electric car sounds which are just amazing to hear
electric cars arent supposed to sound cool idk what you expect
@@DingoXBXidk man, the taycan sounds pretty cool irl
@@fifteen8850I feel like the Taycan is just an amazing exception all the way around lol. Such a sick freakin car
I'm actually impressed with the car sounds in The Crew Motorfest. Some cars sound better on FH5 and other sound better in TCM.
The muscle and electric cars sound so much better in TCM. The V8s overall sound better in TCM to be hones5. Don't get me wrong, some muscle cars sound extremely good in FH5, but the majority is just boring cause the devs went with the more realistic sounds
Eletric does not have any sound. It's fake noise
I don’t thing going for realistic sounds is a problem at all. Also the electric car sounds, while cool in TCM, are probably fake for at least half of the cars. I can guarantee you that the evija shouldn’t sound like it has an ICE in it lol
The EV sounds are obviously fake, but honestly cool. instead of making them sound like engines, they made them sound like spaceships, which is definitely cool for an arcade racer.
The electric car sound better but be for real those sounds are extremely inaccurate I think they ditched electric cars real sounds and made their own sounds to make them sound cool
@@redhunnid5142 Spaceship sounds are cool! One thing is right through - the Taycan's sound is actually accurate as the real one does have that sound as an option.
Best Purple channel uploaded a BANGER as always 💪🏻💯🔥
90% of players that takes Forza Horizon more seriously complains about unrealistic engine sounds.
It seems folks over The Crew team was taking notes thankfully. Loved it ! ❤ ❤❤❤❤
I was gladly surprised with Motorfest sounds, when I played the beta I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was so gladly surprised when I started playing, the gameplay was great and fun, and after a while when I payed attention to the car sounds, holy, they are so good, even the electric cars sounded amazing. What a shame the beta ended, I really enjoyed it much, it's been a long while since I had this fun with a racing game
I'd say that TC Motorfest really sounds like pure sound, while Forza Horizon sounds like you're listening with earphones even when your'e listening with headphones. And on TC Motorfest you can actually hear how the car behaves and the sounds from the parts of the car are not the same on each car. One simple example is at 2:30 with the Fairlady Z, you can actually hear the car "struggling" a little bit just after you shifted the gear up, while on Forza it just sounds like every other car shifting.
The car sound in forza horizon are actually from a distance. The car sound in The Crew is next to your ear. The engine of a car is not next to your ear so.
And there is wind sound in the crew just your car.
The gear shifting spunds in tcm are just addictive 🤩
This plus the way more versatile gameplay makes me prefer it to FH5 to be honest
And unrealistic not every car has a weird shake when they shift lol
its amazing how good the Crew Motorfest sounds! It makes the Forza Horizon sound like every car has too much rasp, literally because how clean the Crew sounds! I also love how the needle of the speedometer shakes every time you change gears, feels realistic lol
So glad the crew cars don’t sound like a vacuum anymore
I think it was cuz the map was too big for better sounds
Thank you for using performance mode like a decent member of society
Motorfest sounds a lot better, there are some cars with innacurate sounds (supra MK5, F1, P1,Carrera GT) but the rest is very good, even the turbo spools and chirps.
Forza needs to step up asap, there are a lot of inconsistencies regarding car sounds
Alright manhunt fan
@@LonelyHearts.Co24 butthurt much
Bruh! The 918 sounded amazing, wtf?
@@ralcolfwolfcoon8207 oh it does
Oh. Nvm. Thought you said it sounded bad. Mb.
Some of the TCM sounds remind me of mid to late 2000's NFS games, so that is an instant hit right there.
TCM has really improved the sounds from TC2, this game will definitely give Forza a run for its money
not at all.
Handling physics is CRAP compared to Horizon 5.
Okay 1: Leave him alone. And 2: IT HASN'T CHANGED SINCE FM3. Are you really that stupid?!
@jortepap U tripping. IMO it's the perfect blend some sim with still that arcadiness to it, which to ME at least is wayy more fun then forzas purely simcade gameplay which gets boring rather quick..plus if you turn of all the driving assists motorsport def has a bit of that sim feel w the handling but like I said still arcady
@@jortepap Bc tcm is an arcade with some sim touches
@@lum1notryc828 Nah I have played the beta, the physics are crap comparted to FH5. Specially the Skyline R34. Physics need a little rework, also it feels like the cars have the gravity of Jupiter, and when u accidentally go offroad the cars enter a fixed drifting state that you can't recover from, like driving on soap. On real life you have some chance of recovering, on TCM as soon as you spin on dirt/mud, it's over.
Could you make a comparison between Motorfest and GT7?
💀
Motorfest obliterates lol
Let’s all be honest both of these game has came a very long way with the car sounds so I’m impressed by both and I love playing both games
The crew feel more like they actually recorded cars for the game ( not saying they did or didn’t) but they come off a little bit less computer generated and more realistic I found myself driving in the beta for hours just listening to the cars something I don’t do a lot in forza. FH5 definitely still has some of the best car sounds in the franchise and I don’t think they did a bad job I just think the crew did a great job
You also love driving in motorfest because the map is 5x times better
Exactly. Forza sounds like it is using an almost synthetic type of audio. Like it was digitally constructed instead of raw natural audio.
EVs sound a bit more exciting in Motorfest, but both games sound pretty accurate and pretty good, can't pick a clear winner here
I do like the sounds of old V8's in this game but i'm not quite so sure about the ev's did you heared the lotus evija sounds like it has a combustion engine @8:56
Just glad they finally figured out gearshifts in TC
I like the freedom that IVT Took on The Crew Motorfest for electric cars, as they do not sound at all ( excpet some ) they really have cool electric wine sound in Motorfest, thats stunning!
OOOOOO THAT SHIFT SOUND IN TCM IS VICIOUS!!!! OOOOOO GOOSEBUMPS
The sounds of fh5 are a bit more detailed but ngl I prefer the base tone of tcm, like damn that gt3 rs sound great
Fr
Bro I wasn't sure of buying tcm because I already have horizon 5 but your little video here convinced me to buy it so here's my subscription as thank you 😆😁
TCM has some incredible sounds, I think if you keep some sounds of both games and add a bit of the shifts sounds of TCM it’s a perfect mix
The boost building up in the crew is just ❤
It’s the level of bass in motor fest that sells it for me 🔥
Man, TCM cars sound absolutely wild!
TCM Supra reminds me heavily of the sound from FM6 with a hint of something else, definitely one of my favorites
I like TCM's take on electric car sounds, makes them a bit more enjoyable to drive. Also like how most cars sound throaty and bassy.
I admire FH5's raytraced audio, while some cars don't sound as good imo (ain't a fan of how some cars sound way too raspy), you still get to enjoy some cars that sound good and feel immersed with the sound bouncing on walls, buildings, etc. Backfire is kind of annoying tho lol
Sounds like spaceship. Boring as always
I feel like The Crew got a lot more details in the sound on many cars
Man, TCM came out swinging with this installment! TC2 didn’t have many good-sounding cars unfortunately. Some notable exceptions were the F40 C, the CGT, and a few others. This game has taken it to the next-level. A lot of the sounds are crisper than the Horizon sounds, and I am a big fan of the turbocharger induction noises, more than the latest horizon game. However, I wish there were different induction noises than the same one that I’ve seen across the board. The straight-cut gear whine is also a welcome addition to the racing vehicles in TCM. Great sounds across the board. Unfortunately however, cars like the P1, F1, and Mk5 Supra sound nothing like their real-life counterparts. Not sure if TCM was able to record accurate McLaren sounds, but hopefully that will all be fixed in a patch. Also, neither game has gotten the sound of the Jesko right. Both models sound like a regular V8, meanwhile the real car is a high-revving flat-plane V8. I do like however that in TCM, the jesko’s digital display actually stays locked to the horizon with the turning of the wheel, similar to the Project Cars 3 Jesko. Horizon’s Jesko does not have that feature.
Some sound great in TCM and the same for FH5.
forza needs to step up with the sound
Would be great if tcm has an option/slider to control the back fire and crackles sound, like nfs heat had
The gear change sounds and all are so good in TCM, I really want to hear the BMW M3 GTR from Most Wanted 2005 with TCM sounds.
motorfest has a higher sound fidelity and the actual sound of manual gear changes sounds amazing
One cool thing I observed in FH5 is that the fov is changing based on the speed. Would love to see that in MF. Also if they improve the lighting, it will be be 100% FH5 counter part for ps5
Finally a wake up call for forza horizon!
TCM sounds good, but it lacks environmental car noises, like a tires rolling sound. Because of that cars in TCM sounds like driving in vacuum and not on the road.
Can’t lie, Motorfest sounds have more bass and Forza sounds have more treble lol that’s the biggest difference for me
Tcm feels like the sound has more layers and is full, like well made music, forza sounds a bit flat without too much depth to the sound, but the sound themselves can be better sometimes, if that makes sense
The crew motorfest nailed the sound ngl. The thing that annoys me is when vehicles upshift it sounds like a gunshot between the gears.i hope it gets fixed before September
You never driven a manual before lol and it’s sounds so much more satisfying then dull forza upshift
@@ArthurWerkzTVyou clearly never drove a manual either cause not every car does that

@ArthurWerkzTV bro thinks manual cars sounds like a gunshot when you upshift💀nah my boii go to sleep
@@FiatUno2003most supercars/old cars w manuals shifter does that heavy mechanical sound, so it’s not a problem at all, also since it’s a game where basically no car will be left stock mostly the mechanical sound gives some race shifter feelings
Yooo the Camaro sounds mental in TCM 😍
The taycan in motorfest sounds INSANE
Surprisingly the crew Came a long way with motorfest! Compared to its previous release the crew 2. either game Forza or the crew motorfest both are a excellent selections. Some sound better on Forza while others sound much better on crew motorfest. My takeaway either one should be good 👍.
I don't know NFS and now TCM have that base to the sounds that makes it good
The good thing about car sounds is if they make it great one time, they'll juste have to take those sounds for the same cars on the future games. So they'll just have to do the sounds of the cars new to the game.
I'm pretty sure Ivory Tower sampled some car sounds from The Crew 2 and just overall improved on it. I can still hear that throaty TC2 texture for the Huracan, but now it feels too close to the real deal thanks to how they edited it.
The crew car sounds makes me remember need for speed especially in shifting gears
TCM gearshift has a raw feel to it ngl
Well the ZL1 sounds like a pissed off 6 Cylinder on both games for some reason. That cars loud as hell in real life, even stock.
Its the behavior of the shifting that makes tcm sound better
And bass
Some of FH seems a bit flat in comparison. I can’t explain it.
And yet idiots don't see what we see. Smh
The Crew M is more fun sounding at the cost of realism. FH5 is definitely more accurate for the most part but I definitely can appreciate what ubi has done given how poor most sounds were in The Crew 2.
Bruh the fairlady sounds so cleannnn
Okay, both does the job BUT i think we go here with two separate ways of sound creating.
One group demands realistic car sound and second group wants cool car sound
TCM does good job in terms of realistic sound, but R34 and F1 for example just sounds cooler in FH5.
5:09 CAN WE APPRECIATE THE RESTING LEFT HAND WHILE YOU CRUISE IN OLD SHELBY?
I like your driving Bro ❤❤
The crunch on TCM transmissions is just🤌🏿
The Crew Motorfest will be so good. Now looks very good, idk why i don't get access to closed beta with all these tc2 hours + insider program. Can't wait for relase.
The taycan sounds so cool in the crew 😂
i got a TCM ad before this..
I miss the shotgun backfire sound in tc2 tho that should've come back but the gear shifting is so good
Coming from a FH fan, TCM sounds amazing but them up shifts are overdone in my opinion, although I get it that it gives banging them gears more character
that 1st supra at the end catch me unprepared
I love how almost every cas that RPM bounce between shifts. It sounds so much nicer than without it. You used to be able to recreate it in Forza 3 by tapping the reverse button before shifting, but that's pointless.
Imagine if the more you drove a car, the car noise would change over time because of the mileage done lol
TCM had people from Test Drive work on it and it shows
Love the sound for TCM and i habe a feeling its going to get better because that was the beta
The Crew Motorfest just steamrolled Forza Horizon 5 in the sound department
Some cars sound better in FH5, others in TCM and vice versa
Everyone is comparing sound ect.. How many cars does crew mf have and how many does forza have (above 600)...
@@godlyname8544 currently forza has more cars but the game has been out for a while, the crew motorfest hasnt come out fully yet so there wont be as many cars at launch but later there might be more.🙂
@@godlyname8544Why does a game need so many cars when people are not gonna use them anyway
@@coolant110tbf, the crew combines cars together to save space. Rather than doing the Forza route and having 20 odd challengers, there's a Hellcat which is also a scat pack, RT shaker, Hellcat widebody, shaker widebody and a jailbreak
The Supra mk5 is the only example that didn't sound close to the original in TCM. They also recycled the sound for Ferarri V12 when they are noticeably different in person. Still I'm very impressed overall.
I really wish these games could capture Honda's VTEC "kicking in" moments
Check the older forzas(I like old Forza more than new ones)
Tcm has great engine sounds too, they are really good, but there is an engine sound that is almost perfect in fh5, the mclaren f1
At TCM Sound in cars has one thing in common. Every car has the same secondary sound
What’s up with the revs bouncing so hard after shifting? Sounds funny lol
Why does porche taycan sounds so funny on TCM like damn
