the other major thing is the fact that most of us gamers becoming more aware about the whole "renting" aspect lately and its only getting worse with more things for DLC content that should've been within the game to begin with or at least don't charge 60+ bucks for renting is yet another reason gaming companies are on the down slide period. I myself stopped using coin and money to buy dlc content for the games that im now "renting" instead of owning like years before...

Since the Last of Us 2 came out, I will never ever purchase a game that is even the slightest bit woke. Ever again and everybody else needs to do the same. We are literally feeding the woke agenda with our money.
If you think Sony isn't woke, then just compare Tess in The Last of Us to Tess in The Last of Us Part 1. Compare Mary Jane in Spider-Man to Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2. Compare Aloy in Horizon: Zero Dawn to Aloy in Horizon: Forbidden West. Then ask yourself why Sony is doing a remake of Zero Dawn. The answer? They want to update Aloy's look in that game to match her "modern audience" look in Forbidden West. So yeah, Sony is woke, and I have no faith in them going forward. Stellar Blade is from an independent developer that signed an exclusive contract with Sony, and I hope Shift Up has learned their lesson and will just remain independent and release their future games on PC.
Yep pretty much all the big publishers from Sony and Microsoft are pushing this. Indie devs are the only ones making good games nowadays.

Indie is the way forward and has been long time now. Console and publishers only seems to hinder the progress and innovation.
Console players need games to be dumb down (for everyone games) and publishers do not want to take risks. So its not surprise all these events happens and has been happened.

Go PC and never look back 👍

Yeah, I am done with consoles. Never again! If, and its a big IF, I continue to game after all this it will be on PC or nothing. Since I can not afford the constant pc upgrade grind, I am probably done, but rest assured, Sony will not be getting any more of my money.
Well I'm still using my 5 year old rig and it plays everything I want it to. It cost less than 2 grand, so a couple of hundred a year is pretty good considering the game/video quality and better experience.

I believe Xbox is the reason Starfield was disappointing to so many gamers. When they bought Bethesda, investors/stakeholder took a look at the game in its current state and said "That's enough, lets launch it". This when there were so many more things that needed to be added to the game such as more POI's, creating an actually good ending, improving survival mechanics, ship combat etc. They were drooling for those Starfield profits and didn't listen to the devs.
Uh they delayed a whole year because of bugs, Bethesda would have released that as hot trash full of game breaking bugs a year earlier.
All they had to do was copy Freelancer plus put a bit of Fallout in it and they were golden. Starfield was not good...
