I spent 3 weeks in Rome many years ago, at Easter time, exploring. This walking tour brought me right back to my memories. I adore Rome. It was much less crowded then.
great city for few days just for tourism because for living is absolute nightmare disaster cesspit!!And then the city is too old and boring about style of life compared to the best cities in the world!
@@valentynaartysyuk9129rispetto la tua opinione ma dire che è vecchia e noiosa mi sembra una gran bella cazzata. Roma è la città eterna, esiste da talmente tanto tempo.. I was just in Rome this past October and this is the exact place I met my friends and walked (in the first 17 minutes)😢can’t wait to come back next October and explore more of the gems you showed here🤗🤗🤗
We rented a scooter for three days in Rome two years ago, and it was awesome. Visited all over. Went from the coliseum to the Vatican to the Appian Way, so magical!
Thank you again - the Colossus of Constantine recreation is marvellous. I was in Rome last month for a few weeks - what a great city, and I love Cacio e Pepe (I had it at Da Enzo's ) :) !
Hello, my friend 🖐️ happy to see you again ❤ I was concerned about your absence, but now I'm glad you're doing well 😊 Well, welcome back, I had forgotten how beautiful Rome is 😅 ...no, no, no, I'm joking of course 🤣
Awesome!! So glad to have you back. You were missed! Hope you are well. I saw the Victor Immanuel memorial. When I return I want to go into the military museum. Lovely view of the Forum. Thanks for a wonderful walk.🥰🥰
Just got back - please make sure you book entrance with “skip the line” tickets to all the things you want to see well in advance. Otherwise you will spend hours each day lining up with a real chance of disappointment at the end.
When I visited Italy as a teenager in 1960, I was overwhelmed by all the art treasures I saw in Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa, Padua, and Milan. Back then, Italy was not as overcrowded and overrun with tourists as it is nowadays. RyanAir and Airbnb have ruined EVERYWHERE!
I have been there twice but felt I have only seen a tiny fraction of this wonderful place full of history and beauty. I am a civil engineer and have always been awed by the engineering achievements of the Romans so long ago.
I was worried you hadn't posted in a while. I guess you were dealing with some sort of ailment. Hope you are better and thanks for your great videos. I always look forward to seeing them.
I just got back from a week in Rome (first week of April) and barely scratched the surface. I stayed 3 blocks from the Colosseum, which meant I got to walk past it every day. 😊 I recommend the 2-day "full experience" ticket to the Colosseum (Arena access) and the Palatine Hill/Forum area. Costs €24. I got a tour of the Vatican Museums and the guide was fantastic. Cost €40. Both sets of tickets can be bought through the official websites. Do buy tickets in advance as lines were incredibly long otherwise.
Well, I m amazed about how crowded this place is in March, by tourists. Its not high season there yet. But, as said, Rome is not the city, its the biggest outdoor museum in the world. Then maybe its no wonder.
The raised (or not) horse's front legs and the death of the rider is some urban legend , which many poeple repeats on Internet and which has nothing to do with reality Look at monument of Tsar Peter the great in Petersbourg (he died in the because of illnesses). It is only the artist idea and concept about raised leg/s or.
Apparently the meaning of one legs of a horse statue as a wounded cavalier is more a legend, its popular meaning is been shared without a real foundation. The more accredited meaning about a front leg raised up is that the cavalier, (the king in this case), was the predominant figure at that time, he ruled... Two legs up means the cavalier was ready for the battle! Four legs on the ground the cavalier lost the battle. S: Ara Coeli is a very beautiful Basilica in Rome.
Best choice for crowded place lovers, nightmare for visitors who want to combine their interest for the city with great history with relaxed amusement. It s meerly a complet big fair.
Rome: a most beautiful city, nowadays overcrowded with tourists, as in the scene at the Trevi Fountain, "thanks" to cheap flights for the hoi polloi (the common herd and the masses)!
Queen Victoria on a horse in front of St. George’s Hall in Liverpool; the horse has one leg raised! She was definitely not wounded in battle! Maybe the Italians have a different code?
Guys, is it just me or do you think that Rome is overrated? Don’t get me wrong, it’s historical masterpiece but it seems like there is not enough green place and it’s very crowded. Streets are kind of dirty as well. It’s not comparable to northern EU cities I guees, when it comes to clean and peaceful areas. I just want to know your opinions if you lived there for a while.
I would really like to see the Temple of the Divine Julius Caesar remade and the Pantheon remade how it would have originally looked adorned with its Proper PAGAN iconography instead of the current false idols that are disgracefully displayed in it today.

You are correct. Indeed it is!!
Agree
And the most pickpockets and scammers.

my thoughts exactly, one big open-air museum, one of a kind

The sound of the seagulls right in the historical center of the City is astonishing
