also the manga having 139 total chapters has signicance 140 is associated with freedom and since the manga never reached 140 chapeters it symbolizes how eren was never able to reach true freedom
I agree the 9 titans = 9 realms idea is valid, but I have another interpretation: it's a possible reference to the importance of the spine. Humans are born with 33 vertebrae, but by the time we're adults we only have 24. This is because the 9 vertebrae at the bottom fuse together into one.
The number 10 is important as well. Eren said "I dont want mikasa to froget about me for 10 years at least." and here we are 10 years later from the first episode of attack on titan. 13 years later from the Manga. And the Anime is coming back on 3/3/23. The number 3 is important in so many ways. But I believe in the timeloop theory so 3 endings will occur with the anime being the 3rd one.
What I don’t understand about the time loop theory is that it is impossible for Eren to receive the Titan powers in cabin timeline. He never would have met Zeke, entered his fathers memories and persuaded him into stealing the Titans from Frieda.
@@emeraldweb7169 it all depends when he decided to run away. We was never told. But he must’ve ran away after finding out something which would be late season 3 so all things still would’ve occurred
@@jarellbess1432 no it does not depend. Eren in real time, enters his fathers memories and activates the rumbling in less than a second. Eren and Mikasa run away after she answers his question and they live for -4 years- together.
I’m sure someone else already mentioned this, but Erwin was also the 13th commander of the scouts, going back to the number 13 being considered evil since he was thought of as a “necessary devil”
One thing to point out: Original king Fritz wasn't a Titan Wielder- he just used Ymir and once she died, he forced his daugthers to canibalise their death mother. I doubt that he eventualy gained Powers. If anything, one of his children/grand childer bearing Founding Titan power, became King and that's how inheriting started... Original Fritz threted Ymir like a tool -> a powerfull weapon. I highly doubt he would inheirit it himself even at death-bed. He probably overlived Ymir and his daugthers (maybe even made grandchildren with them- incest wasn't uncommon in past). Also it was mentioned in manga, that if Founding Titan wouldn't be eaten, once human having their power would die, The Power would return to coordinate and from there it would be given to random Eldian child born the very same day. The thing that it's stated that way, means that at least once such situation has happened... (maybe one of Fritz ancestors wanted to end the whole Titan-thing, but was unsuccessful with it). So... your initial count of 145 Kings of Fritz dynasty living exactly 13 years doesn't realy make sense.... 1st -> Founding Titan wasn't controled directly by Fritz himself 2nd -> at least once Founding Titan wasn't inherited and as such, power went loose As for why it's 845. It's freaking simple. As you said -> AoT was inspired by Nordic mythology and belives... and in 845, Ragnar Lodbrok (the Viking leader) siedged and conquered Paris, who was a fortified walled city. Ragnar is both historical and mythological persons - belived by his commrades and followers to be son of Odin. So 845 is strait analogy between Colosal Titan attacking Wall Maria and Viking Siege of Paris. Vikings entered the city and plundered it. (could guess also slaugthered some of citizens)- same as Titan's did... 2000 is probably just a nice round number... i wouldn't get attached much to it... other than back in 1150s slavery was a common thing... also incest in royal/noble families wasn't so uncommon even in Ancient Rome.
As for 2000, It seems more like a biblical reference to me. Similarities to Ymir's time and Babylon make biblical/historical sense, the image of Ymir gaining power after making a deal with the devil and eating a fruit is a biblical reference, the existence of giants is biblical, and we are currently 2000 years after Christ. Those who believe, or at least consider, the seven millennial clock since creation mark 2000 years after Christ as the time when the Beast will rule.
it doesnt mention specifically the Founder dying and getting sent to a random Eldian, its all titan shifters. if the founder went loose it probably wouldn't have been able to be found again as the child wouldnt be of royal blood, and thus, unable to use it, the child would also die at 13, too early to have even known about the power or how to use it. therefore, if the founder went loose, it wouldnt have been found again. It was likely a Marleyan titan that got lost and the king used the founder to find which eldian got it and give it back to marley.

With "104th cadets" we refer to the entire group of recruits who joined the army that year, all around the walls. In fact, 104th is divided in 4 districts and our protagonists come from the south one
the walls were built 100 years ago, people turning into titan has existed for way more than 845 years and i don think it has much to do with ymir specifically.
Great video. Didn't know what to expect, but I found it interesting. You provided some things I didn't even realize and things that filled in some gaps (ex. the 9 realms being the 9 titans).👍
There’s a lot of Norse mythology in AOT Ymir is the one the gods that created the world the tree of life is in Norse mythology which is the where the coordinate is at. 9 titans for the 9 realms etc I’m sure there’s more
Ymir's power was divided into 9 because she had three daughters who were forced to eat their mother's carcass to inherit her powers. These three children would later have children of their own, presumably three each so therefore nine in total. As with their mothers before them, they were forced to eat their own mothers' corpse as well and thus each children inherit 1/9 of Ymir's power. Their next generation would only choose one inheritor so that the power won't be further divided. Each inheritor eventually lead their own clan but the founding titan would always be from the Fritz clan and become the monarch.
bro youve got the whole see you later thing twisted. So im gonna try my best to help you understand but im not the best at explaining things. SO basically, in chapter 138, when mikasa says see you later, we are actually seeing footage of an alternate timeline. (yes aot has alternate timelines, hear me out). In that alternate time line (ill call it cabin timeline), eren dies peacefully with mikasa. Because eren in the cabin timeline did not complete any of his goals (he didnt get rid of the titans because the curse of ymir will just pass on, and his friends didnt live long lives because the outside world was still alive to kill them all) and because he didnt complete any of his goals, the timeline resets so he can try again.( i wont explain how it resets an all that you just have to bear with me for a little, im sure it will be explained in the anmimes end). SO, after eren dies in the cabin timeline, he wakes up in the manga timeline after dreaming abouit the cabin timeline. This is why in the manga eren awakes peacefully, and he even ask mikasa "when did your hair get so long". Now the manga timeline is the 2nd timeline. Now this is where it gets crazy, in the manga, we know eren dies and goes through very tgraumatic events, this is why IN THE ANIME eren wakes up terrified, because he was dreaming of the events that happened in the manga. in the anime, eren ask mikasa "what are we doing here" because the last thing eren remembers is being inside the titan mouth in the middle of a battle field. so to sum it up; eren dies peacefujlly in cabin timeline (chp 138), wakes up peacefully in manga (chp 1), eren dies tragically in the manga timeline (chapter 138), and wakes up horrified in the anime timeline. so chapter 1 wasnt foreshadowing chapter 138, its more so chapter 138 was foreshadowing chp 1. bro if you have discord i can put you on and explain this much easier
Wdym he got the whole thing twisted?? This was just an AoE theory covered in another video from someone else, not some hard truth to be stated. "World," "timeline," who cares. The actual chapter never explained, and this video was about numbers, not the timeline theory, so why make it so long about something not completely relevant?
I think the 13 years life span comes from Ymir's age from the time she got the titan power until she died from the spear, so the curse exists because of Ymir's death and it's established from her age since she got the power... if she died 20 years since she got the titan power, I think the curse is 20 years life span... the only thing this theory lacks is ymir's age, Isayama didn't write/tell about her age, so yeah... but to me it actually makes more sense than connecting it to how the pages of the chapter are kinda silly to me
I think each page represents a year in ymir's life. So its not so much the curse exists because of the 13 pages, but there are 13 pages because she lived for 13 years
yes, but if ymir didnt want to die, she couldve used the founder's power to stop herself from dying. she wanted to die and wanted the titans to only live 13 years.
