I started out my RUclips channel too Hopefully I get monetized soon...I want to make the kind of contents that you do because I feel like a lot of young people would get to their 20’s and realize they learned about money late especially Nigerian youths and females, not many girls even know what cryptocurrency means...I tell a friend about Bitcoin and they call it scam so I want to be able to educate them on my channel but I feel like I don’t know a lot so how do I teach what I don’t have 100% knowledge about? I love your channel by the way you inspire me a lot

Investing ✔️ 🤪 Budgeting ❌ 😏 Saving ❌ 😔 I've been lying to myself. By thinking I've been saving just by investing. But this video made me realize I've been doing the opposite this whole time. One for its self.. It's high time I took saving and budgeting seriously. “Budgeting” resonates with me very well. Cos I burn a lot of my income on data subscription. Thank you for bringing this up. 🤜🤛
I am in my early 20s and watching this video made me realise so many things I have been procrastinating. Well this is an eye opener and am glad you shared your mistakes also was eagerly waiting for this video all day long. Keep the work going.
I resonate with the investing part the most although I'm 22, I've been trying to dabble into investing and also I read more financial books now. This year has been a great eye opener, thanks to your videos and other wonderful content out there. Better late than never 💪🏽
The only mistakes am making is I don't know how to tell people I don't have to give even though I have much and it's affecting me cos I don't have savings .
Thanks again for this Fisayo 🥺✨. I think my own finance mistake that resonates with yours was not saving in dollars or investing early, particularly in 2019 when I had a fair amount of income come in and I just left it in my account just like that. Sigh.
I was shocked this year when I checked my financial statement this year, it was outrageous spending and I can't really account for anything substantial or asset I spent my money on. Thanks for this video...
🙈 TBH Fisayo, your mistakes list makes me feel like I’m looking in a mirror: 1. Some years back I spent a lot on my Dropshipping store, and it made close to nothing in return 🤦🏾♂️. 2. I had an encounter with bitcoin in 2013 but I decided to ignore it. I convinced myself that I couldn’t afford to invest in anything (at the time) *that was the young, dumb & broke me 🤦🏾♂️*. 3. I’m still so bad at budgeting...🙈 I think I’ll need a financial planner or something, coz I’m always all over the place. 4 & 5. I started investing (in $) late, and that was after I dove into reading financial books. I read and listened to over 15 financial books that same year. It’s really been a ride... 😅 but every single bit was worth it 🙌🏾.
Thanks a lot for making this video.. I actually used to read alot, and it saved me alot.. I stopped reading, budgeting, I spend 500 times what I used to spend (and be comfortable) and yet I was feeling I needed more money.. I'll start frugal spending more. Thank you again.
Informative, educational and very useful. I enjoyed the entire video 👍. By the way the only similar mistake i made was saving in naira and not dollar 😭

We made many similar money mistakes. My major money mistakes were: not saving in dollars and procastinating on investing in cryptocurrency. Thanks for the video. 👍
I took all my savings into creating an ecommerce and a blog site..Paid for some promotion, which worked a bit. But money was not coming from my Adsense. Was really bad for me in the rest of the year.
Hi Fisayo, Honestly I am stunned to note that you are just in your 20s, the things you say and do as a youtuber is quite impressive and depicts a higher level of insight and maturity. Please do keep it up, but I did not see the links for the apps you use for investing oh, that is the one that I am interested in, pls can you post that.
I love your contents ,have gone through all of your videos. Please a suggestion,is it possible to be giving us the naira equivalent to the dollars you mention? I know you aim for the global market but I believe most of your audiences are Nigerians It would help a lot us understanding the value of the money you mention when we relate it to naira here ,you could go bk in time and tell us it's equivalent as at when you had it . Thank you Fisayo Fosudo and God bless you bro.
I got the book "The Millionaire Next Door" as a hand-me-down from my dad. I've had it for more than a decade now but have never finished the first chapter...🤦
I also believe contribution (ajo) can also help in finance, it will help you in managing your expenses. This is a thing we overlook but does work for people, but please beware of scammers.
Fisayo so you really saved money in the bank? Bank interests are poop. That's the worst idea you had. The best way to preserve wealth is to invest in it. You live in Lagos, that's one of the best place for real estate investment. You could have invested in property. It's just like the Bitcoin that you've regretted. The thing is there are so many "Bitcoin" in Nigeria. Property is one of them. Just a question: how can one get freelance clients in Nigeria that pays independently without going through upwork or Freelancer?
Thanks for the comment. To answer your question about freelance clients. I’d say once has to have worked long enough to gain their trust such that it becomes a no-brainer when you get more projects to work on with them.
Not investing early. Though I'm not a parent yet, I believe children should be taught about money and investing from an early age. This makes a huge difference and who knows it can help boost our economy, after all, they say children are the future generations 😁

I am now thinking to myself, is it smart to convert all my savings to Dollars knowing that my only source for Dollars is the Black market and it's pricey... Fisayo please what's your suggestion???
Unfortunately, the main source of dollars for most Nigerians is the black market. The government will only give you dollars at the normal rate if you’re traveling abroad, going to school or importing something that’s not on the ban list and there’s a lot of things in that list.
