Myth of the Canadian Assault Rifle - The Missing Statistics

  • The third in a short series of videos exploring common myths and inconsistencies regarding the AR15 and other so-called "Military Style Assault Weapons" in Canada. In this video, we will explore the astonishingly conspicuous lack of published evidence supporting the Liberal Party's unilateral ban by Order in Council of the AR15, and other so-called "Assault Rifles", as well as their ongoing efforts to suppress the release of this data when requested.
This is the despite the fact that both the Liberal Party, and the Federal government continue to refer to uncited statistics, and studies that purportedly demonstrate Canadians are facing a "crisis" of violent crime involving "Military-style Assault Weapons", including murder.

The gun policy is not to avoid criminal actions, it's an order from WEF to make people defenseless

I find it interesting that they want to know what the purpose of your request is. It feels like a qualifier to confirm if you are looking to tell a story that fits their narrative or goes against it, and they will provide the info only if they feel it supports their narrative.

That's definitely a major concern. What really bothers me though is how they tap-dance around their obligations under the act. Instead of refusing to comply, which would trigger a response under the act, they insist they *are* 'processing' it, but then simply stop responding after stating they will only release certain information, and refusing to commit to a deadline.
What would happen this October when the RCMP orders Canadians to turn in their newly-prohibited firearms or face prison, if you said "OK I'm going to comply, but maybe not fully, and I can't tell you when" after which you just ignored them.
Something tells me that scenario would play out very differently.

Yes, we are being subjected to public policy. It's all theater. The courts aren't even following their own legislation and a man or woman has no remedy currently in Canada. The privacy act was put in place so the government could hide what it is doing.

Pretty much. If Canada would actually release these statistics like they do in the USA, people would actually see that more than 85% of gun crimes happen with handguns, which are more easily concealable. A modern rifle is made as a last resort to most efficiently fight tyranny, which is why all first world governments like to remove that right from the people before removing all of the other human rights.

    • @TATVCanada
      @TATVCanada  Год назад +4

I was trying to explain to a friend about concealment being impractical with long guns but she wasn't having it until I finally got one of my modern rifles out and said "OK, show me how you're going to hide this in a purse, beneath your jacket, or in a pocket with no one noticing. You might as well be carrying a musket.
Even when it comes to handguns though, again, the stat you never hear from the government is how many legally purchased firearms were used by licensed owners to commit a crime. Its a comically low number, and one they do everything they can to avoid even acknowledging let alone publishing.

I'd be surprised if it hadn't been. More likely it has been noticed many times, but has never been covered by the media due to a combination of larger stories like covid/finance/global conflict/etc, as well as the heavily liberal-bias of most news outlets.
When it comes right down to it, I think a lot of people just don't *want* to know.

The fact that they couldn't simply fulfill your information request is incomprehensible.
And the complaint that they can't goes nowhere??
    Its insulting.
And, so, they have no basis to start the confiscation.

Yes, the commissioners office just quietly closed the complaint after disclosure, despite the fact they breached their obligations twice. I contacted them again and said I wanted to pursue it and they just refused.

If Canada allows Americans to vote on Canadian gun rights and/or people that support gun rights, we would be much more interested. That’s probably never going to happen though.
