It depends on the suction nozzle, some of them are designed for carpets where others are for flat floors. Remember that you can always get different nozzles if you don't like the ones you would get with this vacuum cleaner.
The pipe keeps making a lojd noise and vibrating on my one so i guess i hope it isn't the motor...🙄 i have birds and other animals and i hope that a filter change does something cause its not blocked ive cleaned it out and had it over a year now😩😩
If there is a good air flow, you should be able to use it all the time, modern vacuum cleaners get cooling from the airflow from the suction pipe, if you won't block it or if filters are changed on the regular basis it should be able to work for as long as you want, i do not remember any warnings in the manual about the maximum operation time but you can always ask the manufacturers there should be a link to contact amazon about that.

Sorry mate i did not answer your question properly. There is a slit with a cover over the suction handle. There is no motor control as such just on off and suction reductor on the pipe handle
You should have shown the demo by standing up! That way you can see how to operate the on/off button by foot 😁 there are many who will keep bending down to switch it on and off!! Other than this I learnt a lot more from your demo, thank you

Light to handle and they might produce a filter that can cope with usage! Hepa filters can be washed normally! I haven't tried this yet

Filters can be absolutely cleaned, just rinse with water and dry in shade...both the cylinder and motor HEPA filters are cleanable...
