  • Fiscal indiscipline has been an enduring challenge for all federal and provincial governments in Pakistan. The debate is multifaceted, requiring detailed and structured views on fiscal policy, moving beyond mere tax grabs. The absence of a comprehensive fiscal vision reflects the need for a cohesive fiscal policy for the country.

The Round Table Conference, "Fixing Fiscal Policy," aims to unite policymakers and thought leaders to foster collaboration and develop local solutions in the fiscal framework of Pakistan. By bringing together academia and policymakers, we seek to chart a visionary path of fiscal policy in Pakistan for the future, transcending from short-term approaches and firefighting.

PIDE is doing the same thing which it alleges other government bodies. It has contributed zero to Pakistan. Even rants are better in news with anchor with 30,000 Pkr per month.

A few channels promoting entrepreneurship, freelancing in Pakistan are doing more for Pakistan than these intellectuals who just criticise govt and do nothing.

That shows your mentality that you think petty news anchors are better than Dr Haque. You guys deserve what is happening to you right now!

@@UM-mp8jp If you watch and listen to him he seems like a bitch who makes fun of politicians and bureaucrats but in reality Pakistan is run by a one party system just like China but in Pakistan this party is Pakistani army. If he will criticize the Pakistani army then he will be neutralized. For 76 years, the Pakistani army has ruled from the front or through puppets. Collecting taxes and fees is a fundamental way for countries to generate public revenues that make it possible to finance investments in human capital, infrastructure, and the provision of services for citizens and businesses.

Tax. A convenient word to keep the imbeciles to stay idle. Importing foreign goods and spare parts that go into the operation of fighter jets and nuclear weapons but without money. How to finance the appetite of the idlers? Where is the industrial sector that could finance? Where is the infrastructure that sustains big words? Fiscal policy? Where is the sense of the absurd?

Pakistan's economic problems are symptoms of its geopolitical problems. Pakistanis will never prosper until they fight for independence from Pakistani Generals and the Anglo-$axons and switch sides in the Great Game.
200 years ago 5,000 British soldiers along with 12,000 sepoys crossed the Indus River and entered Afghanistan and carried out regime change by overthrowing King Dost Khan of Afghanistan in an unprovoked act of aggression. The British Empire feared King Dost Khan may form diplomatic relations with the Czar of Russia to help Afghanistan restore its lost empire in the Indus valley. The Royal Grand Indus Army that owns, occupies and ru(i)ns Pakistan maintains Britain's imperial legacy and enforces British foreign policy in Afghanistan and Indus valley for a fistful of $$$. The Great Game or Ghazwa-e-Rus.
