    Lou Gramm's iconic vocals defined Foreigner. He deserves this so much. The Metal guys know all too well Lou's skill level. He sings some challenging songs. Check out Lou's vocal with Shadow King called "I want you." Me, I keep hoping he might teach one day. Man, what we could learn from him!

    Awww, Neil was all starstruck ☺ Lou so deserves this honour and clearly is gratified that he got it as himself, not as part of any band. Keep rockin' Lou!!!

    Hell Yeah. Just tonite before i saw this I was watching old Foreigner shows from early 80's. Classic rock best vocalist ever!! Love Lou Gramm! He could belt it out with the Best of them. Headknocker, Dirty White Boy, Double Vision, etc etc.

      I wonder if Lou would talk to the guys and see about put Shadow King back together and do some shows. They only ever did one love show and disbanded shortly there after. I know fans would love to see them again and hear that killer album live again.

    • @cheryldyer554
      @cheryldyer554 Год назад +2

      @@jefffaust89 I doubt it. When Lou performs these days, it is pretty much the same "hit" songs. I don't "think" his voice can do many of the songs that he previously sang due to his aging voice and symptoms left after the surgery for the brain tumor. With that being said, I loved seeing him in the recent past, hope to see him again, and think he had one of the best voices ever.

    Love the way Lou is so down to earth and he really seems to speak his truth. Just wish he'd come to New Zealand. Id love to hear him perform some Foreigner songs, but regrettably all we got was the Foreigner tribute band with that Kelly dude as the lead singer.

    What’s all this argument against Lou Gramm being inducted into the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame? Aim your gripes at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for inducting hip hop, rap and pop performers instead.

    • @thomasmartin1588
      @thomasmartin1588 Год назад +2

      @LuchaLibertaria other than (yesterday), that album is heavier than albums by poison and motley crue and they are considered metal

    • @LuchaLibertaria
      @LuchaLibertaria Год назад +2

      @@thomasmartin1588 'That was Yesterday' is not the only ballad on that album. It includes 'I Want to know what Love is' prob their most famous song ever. Its a Melodic Rock/AOR album, half of the songs are ballads about relationships. Its not heavier than Motley Crue's Shout at the Devil or Too Fast for Love. Also Poison is not a Metal band, they are Glam Rock and they are not some milestone in heavy metal to measure the metal credibility of other bands.
      If Foreigner is inducted into the *Metal* Hall of Fame, then other AOR bands like Toto, Air Supply and Journey should also be there 😃
