Yeah old school boom bap beats are always going to be the easiest to write to because it allows you to be the instrument. You can use a 1000 different cadences because the beat is simplified to allow you to be far more creative. That's why i said with the old school beat my scale will be different for him. Beats with more going on you have to find a pocket but it might only be 5 ways to rap and make it sound good
