Never commented on a video before, but I felt compelled to say that focusing on incline skyrocketed my flat bench. Setting/hitting/surpassing a goal of 275 on incline from 245 improved my flat from 295 to 335x2 in roughly 12 weeks. For reference I’m an enhancement-free guy at 5’9, 190, so I don’t have much more natural strength I could tap into. With your frame, the potential is ridiculous. You’ll be smacking 315 soon enough regardless. Just what worked personally. Keep grinding!!!💪🏼

@@JNelsonTrainingGood choice. I’ve also been on the incline dumbbell grind and it’s like all the pieces are coming together for strength. Bench, incline dumbbell press, overhead pressing variations, and weighted dips are all going up.
Bro good job. Reminds me of myself yesterday trying to get to 250 lol. Keep it up brother. Oh also I was stuck at 225 for the longest time but progressed when I started pausing the weight at the bottom with a significantly heavier weight to shock the central nervous system. Been working so far. Might take me a while but I’m OTW!

Let me give you a huuugggeee tip man. Leg drive leg drive leg drive. I did not see your lower half activate during the eccentric portion of the bench. You almost had it and had you pushed up the bench with your feet, you would have gotten it.

Watch powerlifting videos. Learn setup, arch, shoulder stability, and leg drive. Could widen your grip too. Instant 20 extra pounds.
