Thanks very much for your tutorial on this F#m7 chord. I will definitely at present have to build my strength to "bar" but for now, I want to play The Doors/Jose Feliciano's*...."Come On Baby Light My Fire" and I will try with the beginner's thumb method. Thanks again for demonstrating!
It's so hard to hold those cords down with your first finger without muffling the other strings. And my wrist is killing me just trying to hold all of these chords down. Is there an easier way to do this?
No worries, these are bar chords and considered phase 2 when it comes to learning basic chords. Don’t be too hard on yourself as it takes time to build up the strength to play them. Practice the shape only 15min a day and work on getting a clean sound out of it. Then one day it will just work :)
