  • Go to www.buildeazy.c... for plans and instructions. This is the fifth different type of folding picnic table I have made. This is a more simplified version. It is made solely out of 2x4 lumber.
    It is a picnic table that can be folded into a single bench seat.
    This model also has an optional 'clip-on' piece that adds to the height of the backrest when the unit is in bench mode.

    We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.

    Built two from the first version of your plans. Easy and fun to build. Building an all cedar table/bench now from these plans. Had some confusion on the backrest block but figured that out. Thanks. Looking forward to making a couple of your other projects.

    Hey I just got your plan and I was just wondering, if I can make it 6 of 2 x 4 instead of 5. How can I make the change from 5 to 6. Thanks

      @Tony-og5up 6 лет назад +1

      Just add 3.5 inches and the width of the gap, if you use one to the overall length of the cross braces. I do suggest a small gap even if 1/8" to allow water drain and snow melt. Remember to cup all your lumber.

    Heya, This is a nice video here. The most complete woodworking projects that I have ever used was Toms Magic Wood (i found it on google). Without a doubt it contains the most useful woodworking plans that I have ever tried.

    I bought the plan that has 21 pages. I use Eastern Red Cedar...the kind that smells so good.! It's a very sturdy design. Since I retired a few yrs. ago, I now make wood crafts and go to local craft events. This bench is an attention getter, for sure...they love to see how it works..and I have sold a few along the way. Thanks for the plan, Les..!!

    Since the video never shows anyone actually changing from the table to the bench, I have to assume that procedure is very difficult.

    I do not understand everyone´s complaints about not getting the plans, etc. Just follow the link, and the plans are there right in front of you. The only reason to pay, as the site says on its home page, is to get rid of the ads, and of course, to justly pay someone for something of theirs they provided to you. Seems all OK, even generous. (I can not say anything about people who paid and did get the plans... that might be correct)

    Is this something a novice can make? I have no experience working with wood, and don't have a table or miter saw. But I love the table! It would be a great addition to my garden!

    • @bricewires6876
      @bricewires6876 3 года назад

      Yes, i made only using a drill, jigsaw and a circular saw. The only thing i suggest is to invest in a good angle gauge if not using a mitre saw.

    I just made this table. It is awesome! I did run a little short of wood on the board with all the little cuts, but that was the only issue. Cool table/bench. I used pressure treated lumber and the table is very sturdy and stable.

    This is a superb wood working book, “pepe amazing plan” (Google it). I`m a graduate of a one-year carpentry program from a local tech college. Of all books I`ve read during my study about carpentry, I think this is the ideal book I`ve read so far. It includes helpful images and goes over almost everything.

    • @Tony-og5up
      @Tony-og5up 6 лет назад

      Yes. You can make them for profit. It's impossible to patent something like this. Have at it. I also suggest making 2 or 3 at the same time. Youre already set up and making a mess. Do it all at once.

  • @SleptOn

    What's the total cost of materials?

    • @Tony-og5up
      @Tony-og5up 6 лет назад +1

      Count the lumber and multiply times, $3.21 for non-treated and $4.27 for treated. Non-treated will not last long outside in all kinds of weather. Bolts and screws approx. $15.00 Most people paint or stain with exterior materials. I have seen many lately with covered with exterior dull polyurethane. I suggest you cut and sand thoroughly then paint or stain before putting together. It will be all covered and be a better finish. Please use either stainless or non-rust coated screws.
