As much as I love Heather and she's my fave, I'll admit this was one of her worst episodes. Like, Heather as an antagonist is a combination of Alejandro and Amy from future seasons - strategic like Alejandro, but also bitchy like Amy. The Big Sleep started great for her, she really was strategic on par with Alejandro there. And then this happens... I mean, this is the episode that completely ruins Heather's social game. Everyone's aware of her true colors now. In previous episodes it was just Gwen and Leshawna. Some may have viewed her for an annoyance due to being vain (refusing to get her hair wet in the first challenge), but this... This wasn't strategic, this was dumb as hell. Realistically, it's a miracle that Lindsay, Beth, Owen, and Izzy are still on her side at this point. Literally the only thing she could do at this point was to convince others they need her since due to how hated she is, she's bound to get some votes at every elimination ceremony from now on, meaning she'd be useful to keep around until like final four since the less contestants there are, the higher your chances of being voted for, meaning a "human shield" like universally hated Heather is useful. But even then, realistically only a few contestants would go with that.
Yeah, rewatching this show and nobody should've realistically been feeling Heather after that diary mess. And that's not so much realism in a cartoon, but just common sense. That girl's true colors are out, and they aren't anything nice. Especially compared to Justin who had been consistent up to this point, minded his business, and overall is just less of a headache as a person.
Who brings a diary to a reality drama show? You are begging to get targeted if you show others you have one. I would have burned that book when I realized it was not just a summer camp. Heather played her cards and showed the others she could get away with it. Big oof. This was legitimate; others were possibly rigged afterward because Lindsay was terrible at voting.
