While a different color, the wireless remote looks like that used by Warn. On that one, you must depress both buttons simultaneously to enable the remote each time you use the remote. At some point, a timeout occurs and disables the remote control. I think this is intentional as a safety measure should the remote become accidently depressed in a glove box.
Looks like you were missing the second page of instructions. I orderd directly from them and told them it was for rzr and my max came with step by step instructions specificly for rzr. They also gave me a better price than amazon.
Why did you use the yellow and the blue wires for your power and ground wire. The yellow and blue wires go from the contactor to the yellow and blue terminals on the winch. Theres no reason to use them where a red and black wire should be....unless the wires weren't the proper length and you had to do them backwards
