Absolutely superb, compelling video production. Kim, only a very small percentage of the population has the strength, determination, and willpower to accomplish what you did. Even if you never race again, you will always be able to say you completed an ultramarathon.

I'm doing a 10 miler on the 22nd which is my longest race. im more worried about pace because i often hike 12 miles or more in a day. maybe a 50k if I can lose anorher 40lbs or so but I've lost 190lbs so Idk

Nice!! Training on the west coast looks magical! In VA the trails are super narrow, THICK foliage, and there's a large spider-web every 10 feet!(no exaggeration) it drives me absolutely insane because they eventually get in my eyes and my entire body gets covered in webs and spiders and I lose 10% of my energy being distracted by it lol

Yeah, pretty sure I've heard that from everyone I've ever ran with after their first race. Then you will do another 50k, but nothing longer. Then a 50 miler but never a 100 because that's just crazy. Then you find yourself signed up for a 100.

Give yourself as much time as you need is the best way to go. Don't put a limit on how you might feel in a few months of training. Everyone is different. Just get out there and start!

Even when I double back on the trail thinking i cleared the way.. the spiders have already repaired their web! I think something is in the air..
