DANIEL IT'S TIME TO STOP DANIEL THIS IS ABSURD DANIEL
Can't wait for him to do "Jack the Ripper: Brittish Boogeyman".
Thank you Amanda for pointing out that Ted WASN'T a criminal genius. HE WAS LUCKY.
I just don't understand why this guy uses real-life tragedies as bases for his movies when: a) they clearly don't fit his vision if he changes so many things in the story b) the effect of the changes usually ranges from strange to outright offensive
This guy is like every movie reviewers arch nemesis. He was the first guy Chris Stickman gave an F to in the first 30 seconds of a video.
"This man is my Nemesis and he doesn't even know I exist." Made me laugh so hard but I know the feeling! These films are crazy disrespectful and you had every right to pop off.
"american boogeyman" sounds so sinister while "american boogeywoman" sounds like aileen wuornos is just out here groovin' to the bee gees on a light up dancefloor
The fact that Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman and Aileen Wuornos: American Boogeywoman (both directed by Farrands) came out in the same year is astonishingly awful
This is the Cinematic equivalent of Michael Jordan refusing to leave baseball but on a much longer time line. How you have the patience, Amanda of the Jedi Order, is beyond me.
Okay but all the disrespect aside- does this guy have a thing for women getting murdered? Like, does he ever make movies about anything other than women getting brutalized?
The Manson murders meant a lot to him... Because he was born the same year??
This. Lighting.
As a woman of color: can we STOP glorifying the actions of serial killers? Like, much of the "smart" or "genius" behavior attributed to serial killers comes down to color and class of the killer and the victims. If your victims are queer, an ethnic or racial minority, women, sex workers, or homeless people, congrats, you're a genius for pick the VERY people police and society doesn't really care about. He literally just hung around, pretended to injured, lured some women in (a big note, not all women fell for it and that pissed him off) at night to his car, and then would leave, assault them, and play with their corpses. Gross.
"Mom, I want The Silence of the Lambs!"
Can they stop giving this man money! He's like the worst of the true crime community, just ruining the memories of the victims and their families!
I want to understand how he gets actual actors for this movies; Hilary duff; Mina Suvari Chad Michael Murray??? I know they aren’t exactly A listers but they are recognizable and have successful films out there! And this are embarrassing
I know the word "offensive" gets people laughed at these days, but I feel like it must be used to appropriately encapsulate what's wrong with Farrands' last 3 films. This is a filmmaker who goes beyond the realm of "poor taste" and breaches the truly offensive. You can have gratuitous violence in your movie, but when you have gratuitous violence
“American Boogiewoman” sounds like the title to a failed disco song!
Out of curiosity, I decided to look up how successful his previous 2 films were, as there had to be a reason this guy kept getting gigs, and it turns out that neither even grossed 20k, so now I’m convinced that they are some sort of money laundering scheme.
He coulda made a movie warped to make it into “if Ted Bundy got caught earlier” twist and pulled a Tarantino on the actual events that took place and THAT would have been a much better movie.
