My doctor requested the large bore open ended MRI. I think wearing a face cloth over your eyes is best, so the brain does not trigger claustrophobia. Lastly I could arrange a "fit test" where I could go in for a 10 minute orientation, it really helped me, they slid me in and out of the machine a number of times and talked about the meds timing . With the exposure, I got better and the third time I removed the cloth and wondered why I was so scared. I will still use the cloth and meds on the day though. Remember that I am Canadian and all this is paid for.
Yes I just had one done today and they gave me earplugs , i cried when I lay down on the bed because I thought they wouldn’t help but they did help a lot as I’m also very sensitive to loud noises , you can still hear the noises but it was very bearable i actually felt relaxed after a few minutes. and you can ask the nurses to let you know when the noises are about to happen if that helps too
I'm not sure what I have (which is why I'm getting my brain looked at) but the sound clips they played made me shake and twich, which happens with other sounds too. I'm going to a private clinic to avoid the year long wait list in my area, so I'm hoping for the best.
Don’t be scared it’s just a machine it doesn’t hurt you but it’s very loud I overtook mine are you having had it on your head your leg or your stomach?
I'm almost 22, and going in for my first one, on brain and total spine to see why I'm in pain a lot more and hypersensitive to things. What I'm worried about is that certain sounds and lights will make me twitch, or move in ways I can't control, and the sound played here made my arms shake... Hopefully they'll have something, it's a private clinic because I didn't want to wait a year, and my dad said he'd pay. In my experience being in Canada, the more you pay for something, the better treatment you get, so I'm hoping the doctor and other staff there are really good. I'm going to ask if I can bring a fidget toy because I have an ADHD diagnosis because I have such a hard time sitting still, and I have a tangle jr I use in class that's all plastic.
I need an MRI due to my back op failing. I cant have one because it has not been 6 weeks since my op. My specialist/surgeon thinks its rediculous. So now i have a 4 hour drive to get an MRI in Brisbane. There are no clips or metal rods in my back so i am wondering if anyone knows why i need to wait 6 weeks?
PaulAlmeida Music I had one for my spine and I could hardly breath for some reason 😂 i was in there for 30 minutes and my MRI machine was very small and only had one opening, I was never covered with blanket and I think I couldn’t breath cuz I m scared of tiny places and I had no microphone thing but she had a one way microphone thing and only a alarm button and I could not see them, I hated it and yeah😂
@@yurifromddlc1401 mines 75 minutes each time and the machines so small closed all the way and i dont have that alarm thing and they have crappy movies lol
I had the same question lol... apparently, depending on the scan, it’s perfectly fine. The only damage braces can do is mess up the image if the scan is near the teeth area. Either way I’d ask the doctor and orthodontist.... 😂
Visually , an accurate record for this young patient, however the sound track of the actual loud, repetitive noises presented during scanning isn’t even demonstrated, the muzak doesn’t even come close.
@@Psycho_SugarCraze I don’t know what I was saying surgery is def a lot longer but healing process varies person to person. Prob won’t be walking for a week or two, or could take you a month to start walking again. Full athletic recover is 8-10 months. For me personally my knee was in good shape when I went in for surgery and it took me less than a week to walk again and I was able to start running and doing athletics in a few months
Can I have her in there with me to keep me calm?? This was the best... calming video I have seen yet.

They removed all the metals objects from her body. What about the braces she is wearing? Won't it get pulled by the magnet?
