“Before you suffocate your own fool self” is added to my tbr. Feels like an important read to startle some young girls, I think I def would’ve benefited reading it in my formative years!
Have you read “The Office of Historical Corrections”? It’s Danielle’s second book of stories and I think they’re better than the first. Also, have you read any Jane Kenyon poetry? I finished her collected poems and I found my new favorite poet ❤
i’ve heard of it, but i didn’t make the connection that it’s danielle’s book too! i’ll definitely add it to my tbr. i haven’t read jane kenyon yet but i definitely should soon!
I've heard so many great things about Mary Oliver and I want to try out her work but would you say she's a good start for someone who doesn't really read poetry?
😭 You've broken my heart you said McBride's book has too many characters ànd my own poetry epic forever in progress has dozens of characters!! 😭 Just kidding, and am very glad you are outgrowing "twenty-something vibes" and have maturing tastes!! 👍 Knew the #1 would somehow be Mary Oliver 😸😆 and I agree, she really was superbly "simple" and very good! 👍
mary oliver will always be my go to lol the 20 something vibey book hasn't been groundbreaking lately! but they are still fun to read. reading them feels like wearing my favorite pair of shoes lol
I love your videos! They feel like i have a warm friend somewhere far away who is sharing their books with me. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing - love the way you talk about books and what they made you feel. Your description of Your Own Fool Self makes it sound so great!
