I heard this song back in early 2000's. 2005/2006. Then I bought the album, and ever since then Brandi carlile's been one of my favorite artists. I love pretty much all of her songs.
I can not believe that I really forgot all about this song. And that imperfect perfect note that she sang in the chorus just go with the mood. Absolutely love it. TX Saeed. Greetings from South Africa
This is such a beautiful, heartfelt, and underrated song. Thanks for another amazing reaction. Like many other commenters, I had forgotten about this tune. ❤
Oh my gosh! I didn't listen to this great song of Brandi for a long time. I was made to hear these great songs ☺️. She makes the first chorus with her clearer voice and then raspier, I like both registers. Thanks Saeed, great songs never die and this is one of them. Take care 👏✌️
honestly, you can't go wrong with brandi carlile. her core band and collaborators are phil and tim hanseroth, identifcal twins she's worked with for years... i'm gonna buy you a cup of coffee for one of my favorite performances of hers....
Great song…. The drummer in this video is Matt Chamberlain, who you may recognize from any of the Tori Amos videos you’ve watched where she plays live with her band.
The twins that she plays with on guitar and bass were originally a Seattle grunge band and so her American music is heavily influenced by it. The handserof twins Tim & Phil are co equal partners with Brandi. Everything split three ways. One of the twins wrote this song in fact ❤
You''ll enjoy watching and listening to the latest duet between Brandi and Sir Elton John that she wrote about him, his Life and illustrious and unparalleled music career after she viewed a rough cut of the new EJ documentary called Never Too Late. The music video of them performing it is powerful as is the movie trailer for the Never Too Late documentary! Enjoy both the trailer and then the music video for FULL effect. i look forward to seeing the entire doc as soon as it's available! Have a Blessed and Happy 2025... and BEYOND! 🥀Someone told me once they didn't grasp WHY someone would want someone else to react to something ( for them ) 🥀 For me THIS song is kinda how I feel about reaching out with requests from a reactor... ( But not as intimate as the ' i was made for you ' part ) ha It's COMMUNICATING with another person... reaching out from the loneliness ... Sharing my ' stories ' / songs / videos as a gift and listening to what the stories mean from another person's perspective ... Interaction .
Thats a great description. I also feel like reactions are like talking with a friend. Both watching them and creating them. Its like having the conversation i dont get to have with friends in real life, because they have different interests. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Great song written, I believe, by her guitar player! The official video is a little too subdued with distracting visuals for my taste. Her live version from Austin City Limits has more fire, grit and soul! I recommend you give it a listen. Thanks for the reaction!
Nobody has a voice like Brandi. She has so many great songs and sings incredibly live. Check out her Grammy performances!
An icon with a voice that is unmatched.
