I will also add that everyone MUST watch the live Grammys performance. One of the best Grammys performances ever. She brought the house down. I watched it live on TV and I was not aware of Brandi or her music. I was stunned. I became a fan immediately. She is just incredible.
Brandi is the Queen of Americana music and just over the past 5 or so years getting the recognition she deserves.
Brandi is the only singer I’ve ever heard who can make her voice crack on purpose. She’s brilliant.

Watch the live version of this song she did on the Grammys in 2019 that brought the crowd to their feet and has been talked about as one of the best Grammy performances ever. React to The Story, Broken Horses, Highwomen with Brandi - any and all of their songs. I shared the video because of the powerful visuals. I have seen her live and she rocks! I've also seen the Grammy performance of this song and Broken Horses. I am sharing her music with as many people as I can because I think she is very underrated. I love when people are as struck by her voice as I am.
I just watched the Joni Mitchell Newport Festival concert with Brandi and it brought me to tears.

Brandi is a POWERHOUSE. Awesome, one of a kind voice, great songwriter, great band (the twins) and she's a local. She grew up a few miles up the road♥️LOVE HER

This song is wonderful! I think maybe what what was throwing it for me was the type of reverb that was being used….honestly can’t quite pinpoint why my ears where being snobby😅

I enjoyed so much your reaction. So many reactors look at the lyrics as more of a structure to hang music on rather than a passion amplified by the music. I believe you would appreciate the videos of Shoshana Bean singing "She Used to be Mine" from "Waitress". The writer of that score is a singer/songwriter Sarah Bareilles who has written magnificent songs. Her song "Brave" would be a great introduction.
She used to be mine is a brilliant song. I have sent it, to female friends having a tough time of it and it always lifts them up.
Also you got to go back to her beginning and her story and journey will amaze you
