What a great young couple and so supportive of each other. Loved the happiness over the new pickup. Amazing the talent and knowledge required to keep everything working on the farm.
Congratulations getting your new truck! Your plate should say Pivot. Sorry to hear about the hail damage to your bean field. Absolutely love your videos.
Hail is not a common thing where I am, but when it does hit it is golf ball size & sometimes bigger. Frost, strong winds & heavy rain tend to be the culprits during winter. Mostly though it's inconsistent rain when it's needed & 40° + days. Farmers seem to be pretty much the same whatever country their in, when crops get trashed, they just shrug their shoulders, like Grant did, smile & get on with it. Terrific to see you get rewarded for all your hard work with your new "truck". You were like a kid in a candy store showing it to us. Thankyou for the way you show so many people what it's really like on a farm 👍.
Laura , I am a PDR technician. (Paintless Dent Repair) Hail Damage, Door Dings, ect... I cant tell you how many times Ive repaired dents on vehicles where the owner says, "I always part at the far end of the parking lot , & I still got damage". The reason is , all parking lots , Walmart , Target, ect, are sloped to drain rain water... That also gives runaway shopping carts a big run at your vehicle... So parking at the far off sloped end of a parking lot gives you a much higher chance at getting your truck slammed with a cart... Beautiful truck. Congrats. P.S. I saw your belly button. Lol
Love your new RAM ! I bought a new 2008 quadcab 4x4 with a hemi. 161000 miles later it has been trouble free, in spite of towing a travel trailer from Oregon to Alaska and back, then Oregon to Yellowstone and back. Many camping trips over the years all over the West. A great truck with lots of power and good mileage when not loaded. I hope yours does as well. The quad cab has a 6.5 foot bed but not as much room in the back seat.
Really enjoy the Laura Farms videos. Takes me back. Old guy here. Like the adventures of Laura. Grant, Dad and Mom's great lunches. The Laura Farms videos are well done. Thanks guys. Sincerely. RJ. OSU agronomy grad from way back. Thanks again
Pull the spark plugs and spray oil in the cylinder crank it with the plugs out so the water can shoot out. Then spray some more motor oil in the cylinder and crank it over with the plugs still out. Then install the plugs. Change the oil and filter. Run it and then change the oil and filter again. I use Mobil 1 which work great. I have moved the differential vents up as high as you can get them.
So sorry for the crop loss. I keep thinking of back in the day with draft horses doing all the work only to have hail, drought and then locusts all in one year.......you and Grant are definitely made from good stock !.......love your show !
It it ain’t MOPAR it’s NO CAR! Love that truck! Wow! Nice purchase and now just start remembering at oil change time you have fuel AND oil filters. Knowing how well you take care of your equipment it will be no problem for you. I am still driving a 1996 Dodge Durango ( my pretty baby little truck!) with a 5.2 318 V8 in it. Love the power of MOPAR! Best to you and Grant! You two work hard so enjoy it. Now all you need is a General Lee hidden back in one of your sheds to haul out and be Nebraska’s Daisy Duke once in a while. I had a friend with one from the show (they had over 200 hundred of them) and he put one of the old Hemi’s in it. He passed away and his parents might sell it. It’s in NC. My cuz has the number I think of the parents. Anyways have fun. I used to raise beef cattle as a hobby and believe me if you are hauling a full trailer load on the hoof, the diesel is a performer. Farm on!
Congratulations! My wife loves her new Black 2500, as well. They’re quite a step up from 1500s…. still refined and ride beautifully… but built for serious duty. Cheers!
Congratulations on the new truck. Good that it wasn’t parked outside exposed to the hail. Also, not enough people appreciate how farmers are so much at the mercy if they weather
Ram owner as well, mine is the color of your fingernails in the pivet repair video you did (its called detonator yellow). You will love your dodge truck, like you as soon as i sat in mine i knew it was the truck for me, and it performs amazingly. I hope you took some CD's with you to pick it up and jammed on the way home... Hard work pays off, i wish more of the young people today could understand that.
Happy to see you finally got your truck and a pretty nice one too. You did it up very nicely how I would have, only thing I would do is a spray in bed liner and a delete with a small tune. You’ll get lots more power and use less diesel. As always a great video
Thank God no hail on the truck. You have to get the first farm scratch on it so you are no longer afraid to let it be a farm work horse. Hope the damaged crops get rectified. God Bless! Thank you again for sharing.
Laura just got a new ram 1500 2nd myself over a month ago congrats an great videos good to see work ethic hasn’t died best of luck to you an Grant an give your grandfather a big hug an thankyou for his service for me
I only bought one truck new ever (so far) that was in late 1999. I will never forget the "first scratch" because I was going to have a Rhino Linings spray in bed liner in a few days so a friend of mine loads his tool box and just throws it in the back putting deep gouges in the paint! I... came... un... glued!!! LOL!!! A week later I watched as a shop took disc grinders and removed all the paint from the bed... Ugh... LOL!!!
I wish that all young people would see you . Work hard and get nice stuff Good far you you two work your butts off feeding the world you deserve it all. God bless and yahoo for you
Vanity on Truck: "Farms". Since your car is Laura the truck which will be used on the farm should be Farms. Then when they sit next to each other it's Laura Farms. Love it!
I'm not sure if you're planning on doing so, but it would probably be a good idea to get the bed of the truck to get sprayed with a bed-liner coating so that you can throw pretty much anything in the back without having to worry about scratching it up
Beautiful truck Laura....hopefully the 1st scratch doesn't come too soon...lol...anyway, another interesting video...really ran the gambit with this one....from new truck excitement, to crop dissapointment, to jeep frustration, and ending with trip anticipation ...never a dull moment:)
Clearly the license plate should say 'Farms' to get the branding right when you park the babies next to each other. Also you should get spray-on boxliner - it's worth every cent. With that stuff you don't have to worry about scratches and it makes stuff less likely to slide around in the box.
Tricking out your first new pickup is an awesome experience. I did it ages ago and had a blast: sand-blasted the paint off the truck bed and had a thick plastic liner hot-melted to the bed. Got a thick, high-quality, low-profile camper shell to put over it. Traveled cross-country more than once. Sold it to a friend when I moved overseas. Great experience. Many years of joy with your new super-toy.
Nice truck! I have a 2012 Cummins with 250,000 miles and just dropped an Allison transmission in it from ATS. Now I'm hauling my toys all across North America. Have fun!
hello to you 2, class the pickup and the interior too. Thank you Laura for this video and for making us discover the profession of farmer. keep up the good work, can't wait for your next videos.
You should put a bore scope down the cylinder to check the cylinder walls on that Jeep's engine. After that thing sat with water inside, it's likely you have rust and potential pitting on the cylinder walls. So, it might be fine at the bearings, and you have good oil pressure, but it could also now have damaged cylinder walls, and you'll be down on compression. It will probably run for awhile like that without you noticing too much, but you'll eventually have compression problems, and probably oil consumption issues down the road.
A little trick that some 4 wheelers do with the differential is to run a tube from the vent up the somewhere on the body. It can be tucked up in the wheel well area to get some height on the tube. Mounting the vent tube up in the wheel well helps with going through water.
With lots of experience I have to say that is horrible advice. Tire throw lots of water and mud and can force same into the vent line, seen it happen many times.
@@ericschmelzer6243 I have heard that happen too. It's a matter of what you want to deal with. I have done this on Jeeps and it worked fine. However on my F250, not at all. It comes down to what works for you. Keeping water out though is a must.
Just wanted to say I have been enjoying your videos and like your approach. As a former Scottsbluff resident, I love seeing Nebraska people on RUclips!
Congrats on the new truck!! Tonneau covers are great - certain folks are less likely to steal from a truck bed if they can't see what's in it. And in case nobody else said it - spray-on bed liners are terrific - Rhino, Line-X, etc. Protects the paint and helps keep things from sliding around as much. (not as slippery as painted steel)
Even though I have a spray in liner, I still have a rubber bed mat in the bed of my truck, because even with the liner stuff still slids around like crazy
That is one nice truck with a lot of capability. Could not tell from the video if it has a rear diff locker but if it doesn't that's the one thing I would add. Also, I really admire the way you and Grant are working your way through an adverse situation with the hail storm logically instead of getting all yanked out the frame about it. Very cool!
Love the CJ. I have a 1980 CJ7 MY DAD BOUGHT ME WHEN I TURNED 16. The fun I have had in that jeep can't be measured. Im surprised i survived my irresponsible youth. It has seen lots of upgrades over the years you would have to hunt to find any original parts left on it. The old girl is 42 years old and still going strong. Now my kids and grandkids all enjoy 4x4. I now own 12 CJs. The market on them has went thru the roof. They are getting hard to find.
I’m a 4th generation farmer rancher. Always impressed with how long and hard the new generations have to work, struggle, sweat, toil for survival. Just terrible to have to struggle like our depression forefathers.
Sure Laura and Grant work hard but struggle or toil to survive? I'm not sure I would go that far. It appear to me that her family is a family of workers who not only work hard but have a plan. Part of a good plan is planning for failures or setbacks and I would bet Laura's dad has such a plan and is teaching her to do likewise. Laura and Grant clearly have a plan working two different farms along with their RUclips productions. I would say they are doing quite well and I wouldn't call it struggling or toiling on any day of the week.
The old generations worked insanely hard do not kid yourself. I bet the old worked way way harder. They didnt have fancy equipment to do the work they did it with a bunch of horses.
I’m 15 with autism my dad had a 2018 ram 3500 6.7 and I remember when he bought the truck I love that truck I washed it almost every week Especially in the winter time when it was warm enough to Knock the salt off of the truck and I never thought I would miss washing and cleaning out a truck as much as I did this one. I was hoping one day i could get it but then he sold it Now I have no hope to get it back or find it every time I see any old Cummins or power stroke on market place I show it to him and he always says one day we will have another one and when he got rid of that truck I feel like a lost a friend and I lost a piece of my hard because how sad I was I was Attached to it with my autism some kids at my school thought I was crazy for crying over a truck but that truck felt like a friend and a family member to me and for about two months I really didn’t now what I was going to give up on life then I came across this channel then I started seeing all of the equipment I was thinking to my self why would god make this happened for having to get rid of the truck the only thing that motivated me in life because I thought I was gonna get it some day but I guess that’s not gonna happened now
A video of two halves, seeing your delightful smile when you picked up your new truck. And then the disappointment, seeing the storm damage to your crops. As you said, there was nothing you could have done about it, have a good trip with Grant.
It's always better if she's the one to scratch it first. Whenever my wife scratches or breaks something, I always say, "it's no big deal, we can fix or replace it, I'm just glad it wasn't me. "
@ least your wife confesses dings, scrapes and scratches. My girl will borrow my Infiniti, then 3 months later I'll get a call from some car insurance agency (that isn't my own) asking for information regarding the fender bender that took place...., let's see, about 3 months ago to the day I lent her out my car for the day. True story. Spoiler: She came clean once asked, ME: "Hey babe, hit any reverends while coming to a red light lately? Maybe some cops were present, insurance info swapped afterwards w/ complete stranger, bout 3 months back....Ring a Bell up there 🤔???". SHE: "Ya know, now that you mention it I do recall such an event taking place....Yeah bout 3 months ago...., How'd ya know???". ME: "Oh I forget, was either the call from my insurance company, the agency of the complaintee, the police officer @ the scene, my agency lawyers or they agency lawyers....Yeah, forget which babe, but you know one of those 7 calls I got today".
When I sold cars for 3 seconds, a guy came in and bought a brand new truck. After all the paperwork was signed and we handed him the keys, he walked to the tailgate and purposefully put a dent in it by kicking it. Then he said, "Now that's out of the way I don't have to worry about it anymore."
Loved Laura going through the whole excitement of a lifetime speech while Grant was casually driving and yawning. Sucks about the storm damage. Boy, at the 8 minute mark it sure looks like you're getting in shotgun so Grant must be driving, but at least he has the Ford to pull out the ram when it gets stuck.
I love the way your mum takes care of you at work sending out amazing food and everything. Don't you think that she should be on the channel a bit more to show us how great she is and that she deserves a lot of credit? Just sayin'.
Congrats on your new RAM. My wife and I have a new GMC 2500HD Denali with the Duramax Diesel. We love it and it gets about 27mpg on the highway (Thank God) John Deere announced yesterday that it is leaving it's operation in Iowa and will relocate in Mexico. This should be a Kick in the teeth of all Americans especially our farming families. Could you please spread the word with you farming friends and let John Deere know how you feel. Thanks for what you and your husband do Laura.
Woah there! Easy on the thumbnail... almost had a heart attack! Congrats: magnificient, powerful, sleek machine... and the truck isn't bad either, lol!
I have got no idea why I am watching this channel. But, I can't stop. Then you grabbed me with a big hit of nostalgia. I used to own a Silverado 2500HD and I always wanted a RAM. So it seems I will have to keep watching, just to see how your RAM fairs.
License plate idea… Big blue….. and I would highly suggest sprayed in bed liner. Protects the bed great. I have it in my ram1500. And I had a bunch of items in it and it didn’t even destroy the bed. The liner didn’t even break apart. Congratulations on the new truck.
Ram is the best on the market right now, best diesel engine to best looking and nicest interior. Chevy is 2nd Ford is below the Ridgeline just because of the way Ford treats it's customers
@@ips7125 lmao, my company has 4 f550s 3 chevy 2500s and 6 ram 4500s. every single ford has had multiple turbos put in them and had to have dpf replaced due to the turbos failling, not to mention the amount of stupid electrical issues that shut the dam truck down. one truck hasnt had a backup camera since 12k miles because it was sent into ford 3 times to have it repaired for it to break 2 days later. the chevys have all had their fuel pumps replaced multiple times and has had to have the blend door motors replaced quite a few times as well. the rams for the most part have been mostly suspension issues, which is a very normal thing since they are in the oilfield, and small electrical faults that didnt leave our guys on the side of the road.
Congratulations on the new truck Laura. You deserve it!! As far as the first scratch, it will probably come from something stupid. Mine came from loading a 383 for my 66 Satellite in the bed. When I went to drop the engine down, the cherry picker jerked forward right into the tailgate. After several colorful words, I went to the Dodge dealer and picked up Granite Crystal touch up paint. It felt like people were pointing at my scratch and laughing all the way there. 😂
I really like the Rams over the last 10 or so years…. I was going to get one over my usual Chevy/GMC soon… almost bought one last year but the #s just weren’t right. Congrats! Nice truck!!!
Nice truck! I have to be honest here... with your smarts, awesome personality, and the fact that you're one of the most gorgeous women online or anywhere else, I'm shocked that some company hasn't hired you as a spokesperson. A beautiful young lady who actually knows how things work and explains things so nicely?? John Deere (or Dodge) would be stupid to not drive a combine full of cash up to your front door and ask you to do all their trade shows, educational videos, FFA stuff, and be the face of the company.
Great looking truck Laura. Also love that color. Such a downer with your bean crop, farming is such a gamble. You took it all in stride and still smiling
Laura you should consider the Nebraska license plate with an ear of corn on it. With letters LFARM. If you go to the website and enter this info into it. It looks great. Enjoy your RUclips channel. We live just South of Lincoln and my in-law are farmers.
Rhino Bed lining is a must. Alternatively, you were complaining how tall it is. You may want to consider a flatbed. You can put 2x6 or 2x8s around the edge, it would help you get things in and out of the pickup bed. I would also recommend a spring loaded, telescoping hitch/drawbar.
Amazing I also started trading with Mr Michael recently. $670,000 profits in just 2 months and still counting, Mr Michael Novogratz is the crypto trade king as far as am concerned.
A buddy of mine has a Ram 2500, which he has had for around 15 years. He has a large plot of land in the mountains and he regularly tows large gooseneck trailers with it. The downside of it seems to be the transmission. It has the same 6.7L Cummins as the 3500, but you cannot get the heavy duty Aisin transmission with the 2500. His 2500 has lasted him 15 years and over 300,000 miles, but he is on his third transmission. Everything else is holding strong and he has had no other major issues.
I am a Dodge fan. Love the truck. Good choice. My truck is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 with ZERO dents or door dings cause, like you, I park in the back of the parking lot away from everyone else.
Laura: Where did you get the Jeep? It has an Oregon State Beaver Sticker on it! (Don't see no Cornhusker on there anywhere!) Hahahahahaha I'm not a Dodge guy, (2015 GMC Sierra, Quad Cab, 1 Ton Dulley) but that is a beautiful truck. I would have gotten it with a long bed though. It's always nice to have the extra space. As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. Haters will always hate. Keep a smile on your face. Your enthusiasm, energy and all around attitude are the main reason people watch your videos. Keep them coming. I'm missing the package videos, to see what you get from people around the world.
I remember when diesel fuel was cheaper than regular fuel vehicles. Nice vehicle, new subscriber, and love y'alls content. God bless and I pray we can make it till November.
I ve never seen a young lady so happy to buy a Ram pickup truck . Your happiness is contagious !

When you say couple… I just started watching this channel… aren’t they brother and sister? Or are they a romantic couple. Or both?
You guys are awesome. I love your energy and your spirit. Grant hit the jackpot with Laura but can't hate on him - he's a cool cat.
I love how happy you two are. Thank you for all your hard work. I am praying for you and your Farm and your family and your workers.❤

At least it’s not that bright green like Chet🤣🤣😂😂! Beautiful ride for a beautiful lady!
Congratulations to you both - always remember “if you can’t dodge it Ram it” it is beautiful

I was hoping one day i could get it but then he sold it Now I have no hope to get it back or find it every time I see any old Cummins or power stroke on market place I show it to him and he always says one day we will have another one and when he got rid of that truck I feel like a lost a friend and I lost a piece of my hard because how sad I was I was Attached to it with my autism some kids at my school thought I was crazy for crying over a truck but that truck felt like a friend and a family member to me and for about two months I really didn’t now what I was going to give up on life then I came across this channel then I started seeing all of the equipment I was thinking to my self why would god make this happened for having to get rid of the truck the only thing that motivated me in life because I thought I was gonna get it some day but I guess that’s not gonna happened now
You go girl! You have earned it! Keep up the awesome content! Proud of ya!
A video of two halves, seeing your delightful smile when you picked up your new truck. And then the disappointment, seeing the storm damage to your crops. As you said, there was nothing you could have done about it, have a good trip with Grant.
How exciting for you...congrats Laura!!! Good for you!
I like the color of your new truck looks good pulling the gas trailer. And yes Dougo will like your new truck congrats Laura see you on the next video
It's always better if she's the one to scratch it first. Whenever my wife scratches or breaks something, I always say, "it's no big deal, we can fix or replace it, I'm just glad it wasn't me. "
Lol
Doesn’t help me here. Even in that case she blames me.
@@ToeTag1968 That's hilarious, but he is kinda right :D
Doesn't matter how far away in an empty lot, you park. When you come out of the store, will be surrounded by cars.
Yep, it’s like my truck is a magnet for other vehicles. I just don’t get it.
Congrats to your new Truck. Pick-Up-Trucks are the best. No matter it's a Ford a Dodge they're all good. Always remember ride hard or ride home.
Those full sized doors are so nice, so much more room to get in and out of it.

We love it and it gets about 27mpg on the highway (Thank God)
John Deere announced yesterday that it is leaving it's operation in Iowa and will relocate in Mexico.
Yes, naughty naughty on the thumbnail, @Laura, you don't have to do that to get us to watch...
Glad I'm not the only one that noticed the thumbnail. I'm a sucker for a toned mid-drift.
@@paulhall170 right. 255k views because everyone wants to see a girl driving a pickup truck. Peace and Love
I have got no idea why I am watching this channel. But, I can't stop. Then you grabbed me with a big hit of nostalgia. I used to own a Silverado 2500HD and I always wanted a RAM. So it seems I will have to keep watching, just to see how your RAM fairs.
I'm happy for you Laura, dodge makes good pickups:)
You two have such fantastic chemistry! A joy to watch
You have a great looking truck. Congratulations.. I absolutely love the thumbnail. You are awesome.❤
Must have great ab routine!
Getting jeeps stuck in a river........those are the memories you tell grand kids
The best.
Suggestion: put "Farms" on the pickup. Downside is that you will always havento park next to your car :D
Depends on which side if she backs into parking spots or noses in. Lol
I'd say either way... It has to have the plates facing towards any kind of company that may show up to the property so they know what's up
License plate idea… Big blue….. and I would highly suggest sprayed in bed liner. Protects the bed great. I have it in my ram1500. And I had a bunch of items in it and it didn’t even destroy the bed. The liner didn’t even break apart. Congratulations on the new truck.
That's a pretty nice truck, I'm a big fan of Dodge. My wife says it's not a real truck because it won't a Chevy lol
Ram is a lot better than Chevy
Dodge and Chevy both blow, globalist pigs
Ram is the best on the market right now, best diesel engine to best looking and nicest interior. Chevy is 2nd Ford is below the Ridgeline just because of the way Ford treats it's customers
@@cornfed123567 bwahahaha obviously you never work them.... Fyi fiat ram 4 years running least reliable truck on the road
Hey Laura! Hope last nights hail didn't do much damage and your new truck was parked inside! Can't wait for a new video to come.
Not a Dodge pickup fan but I am a huge Cummins engine fan, congrats!
Love your truck Laura and I really like the color you deserve it girl, keep on truckin
Great truck! Congratulations! (And it’s not a Dodge Ram, it’s just a Ram. Ram is its own division now)
I really like the Rams over the last 10 or so years…. I was going to get one over my usual Chevy/GMC soon… almost bought one last year but the #s just weren’t right. Congrats! Nice truck!!!
Congratulations on the new truck. When showing what mom packed for lunch she needs a “Sure love my mom!”
I love diesels. Scary that $10 a gallon will soon be the price for that power.
Under our current a-hole crooked government probably higher…
In Sweden, we are all already there.
About $8.52 in the UK.
@@swedwinwin6475 -- do not worry, California - or Commiefornia (#facts) will catch up soon!
Also, Gavin is handing out bribes.
I'm glad I drive a gas truck. Diesel is so expensive.
That's one nice Ram ya got there...happy for you two.
Duluth Trading would be all over that you would think.
Great looking truck Laura. Also love that color.
Such a downer with your bean crop, farming is such a gamble. You took it all in stride and still smiling
Well, Grant, as they say: "happy wife, happy life."

It's always nice to see how great agriculture works in the USA. Here in Germany you get more and more set and requirements
Beautiful woman in a beautiful truck, you go girl/

Laura you should consider the Nebraska license plate with an ear of corn on it. With letters LFARM. If you go to the website and enter this info into it. It looks great. Enjoy your RUclips channel. We live just South of Lincoln and my in-law are farmers.

Rhino Bed lining is a must. Alternatively, you were complaining how tall it is. You may want to consider a flatbed. You can put 2x6 or 2x8s around the edge, it would help you get things in and out of the pickup bed.
I would also recommend a spring loaded, telescoping hitch/drawbar.

Love your new ride. I've been thinking about a color for my 74-dodge D-100 & that color of blue I like.
Laura - seen all your videos. This is maybe your best editing. Good story telling.
Stoic reaction to the hail damage. I wouldn’t have the stomach. Neat video explaining the nuts and bolts.
Nice truck! Nice looking Jeep, too! Excellent job with the audio, also,Laura! You did very well. You guys be good, be safe.
She IS a happy lady...isn't she!!
SHARP TRUCK!!
Not to worry. The period of anxiety ends with that first scratch! 🤦♂️
I am a Dodge fan. Love the truck. Good choice. My truck is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 with ZERO dents or door dings cause, like you, I park in the back of the parking lot away from everyone else.
Very nice! My wife's dream truck is the TRX mine is a 3500 dually for towing our camper. Our Laramie Longhorn is one amazing truck, we love it.
