That's not entirely implausible. A friend of mine is a regional champion who has won several tournaments using Odd-eyes dragons. I have the Odd-eyes too and its not a bad deck at all, but I still haven't won any proper tournaments, not even local ones. I asked him why and he said it has to do with 3 things: the way you build your deck, the way you play it, and experience. Knowing every possible thing you can do at any given moment or situation is hard , but with proper experience and practice , you can achieve anything even with weak decks .
If you laugh at a Lightsworn player they'll laugh with you because even lightsworn players hate our decks. Usually because even of the opponent plays nothing our combo kills us by turn seven.
I've dueled some that after a long combo, they surrender a turn or 2 after. Which is why I never surrender against them since that's always a possibility. 😹
I hardly ever deck out with my lightsworns lol. Although if I get close I panic to summon micheal the arch lights worn so I can send all my lightsworns back to the deck😂😂
The funny thing is that every time i hear about Cybers, my mind goes back to the days when Cyber Dragon was banned (and by extension, I had landed my arse on the "suspension list" (or as they used to call it, the "banned players"), because of how obscene my original build was... yet ironic enough, the only person who could ever keep up with me back then ran a Dark Magician deck, himself. But these days, DM, Blue-Eyes, and Grave Keepers are still right up there with Cybers as far as the most pain-in-the-arse decks to go against.
Mega Tamer Ernie I know they can put him at 3 and he won't change anything but I hate it when hero players think they could've won the game if stratos was off the ban list.
It's disappointing to hear that the Dark Magician fan base has been known to apparently be toxic :( I didn't know that myself, I built Dark Magician because he's my favourite card. I don't mind loosing, as long as I'm able to play Dark Magician, I'm happy :D
Guardian285 I am with you. I play DM but I know it’s not really good. It’s good against some matchups but auto loses to others (blue eyes). Deck isn’t as inconsistent as people say... just really slow. Can’t get DM out turn 1 very easily and requires a lot of trap setup. It’s solid rogue tier but idk how it fairs to a lot of other decks.
If I did much with Yu-Gi-Oh anymore I'm pretty sure I'd use Dark Magician, too. DM was my favorite card when I was younger, so I'd be happy just to be using it, results be damned. Hearing yourself say "Dark Magician, Dark Magic Attack!" in your head is victory enough.
Don't even mention the Kuriboh Steelswarm Amorphage players. Man those do not accept you telling them that their deck is a random mess and that they don't need 3 copies of each mirror force.
A D/D/D WITH AN UNREASONABLY LONG NAME Some of the are at the side deck. They aren't running more than 12 copies of Mirror Forces, they also need space for Magic Cylinders and Magical Hats.
dont forget all the raidraptor players who are like "bruh, raidraptors are a lowkey sleeper deck and would be so good if kaijus didnt exist...or ash blossom...or lightning...or master rule 4"
Terrible you say? RR boss monsters are very solid and powerful. Is just that the link mechaning weakened this archetype a lot, but it has a lot of potential.
About the boss monsters, Ultimate Falcon, Arsenal Falcon and Satellite Falcon (especially Ultimate Falcon) are really good and has good effects. RR is a deck made to destroy a lot of monsters and even OTK your opponent if well played. Final Fortress is a little bit more conditional than Ultimate Falcon, but its multi-attack effect can OTK your opponent very fast and has a powerful immunity. If your opponent survives and Kaiju'd that Ultimate Falcon, you can simply use the effect of Skip Force to revive that Ultimate Falcon again. All depends of the way you play the deck, and the way of using the monsters of the deck. Most of the time, Ultimate Falcon is summoned with a simple Last Strix along with Skip Force (although yeah, if you summon it this way, your opponent won't receive battle damage that turn).
id argue the only 2 RR monsters that are worht a damn are ulti falcon and revolution falcon. ulti falcon of course is towers 2.0 and with the rank up spell you have the potential to at least bring it back out of the grave once or twice moe even if it gets beaten over or kaiju'd revolution falcon however i think is the decks best monster. it's a rank 6 so it's very easy to get into especially with skip force or soul shave. and with it's effect to attack every monster one and drop the attack and defense down to 0, it's great at punishing over extention. but with master rule 4 and no arsenal falcon. RRs cant do a whole lot anymore aside from just trying to turbo ulti falcon turn one
@@Ocacadordecasadas this is why I don't play anymore. The ridiculous 5 minute turns, and the amount of cards I used to use to win are banned. Yugioh has seriously gone down hill in the last 2 years. Rip fun yugioh.
@@dominicgalloway4481 I feel you. There needs to be a 30 sec time limit per turn. I play a bakura deck and I can set my turn up on like 3-5 secs. Then I just sit there on master duel for 10 mins waiting for my turn
Blue eyes is ok in the tcg, but they actually suck in duel links. Less consistent than red eyes, and one of the best cards in the deck, champion's vigilance, is at one. Blue eyes has simply lost relevance in duel links.
I used to play D/D/D's, but stopped playing Yugioh for a while. When I came back, Link monsters were hot off the press and I lost 4 out of 5 games I played with D/D/D's, but refused to move on and accept that they weren't as good anymore. Except against Trickstars. I was surprised how well they could do against Trickstars in the right conditions. But anyway, the moral of the story is I made the D/D/D fanbase toxic for everyone I knew.
When I played a Cyber Dragon Deck, coming back to Yu-Gi-Oh briefly (the card shop I used to play at closed, sadly) it took several goes before I was even able to get 3rd at the local tournament.
Your right there they won't be good until they release some cards that let some attack the first turn they are summoned and some card that really protects toon Kingdom. Like it should have been built into toon Kingdom like if it would be removed from the field just banish the top card of your deck.
Tony Clifton Same, I love the art and am okay with losing often, the spellcasters judgement was one of my first decks I bought and built off of and I enjoy it : )
8:34 Admittedly, deckbuilding is half the game. It takes skill to build a deck and skill to pilot that deck accordingly--I think some people have the wrong idea about what a deck is supposed to do, kind of like when you mentioned Cyber Dragons otking but then Infinity is kind of a control card--you almost have to just fix your deck to the strategy the deck naturally wants to flow into. ie Blue-Eyes is a beatdown deck, Dark Magician is a control deck (contrary to what many may think >.>), that's why it plays 2 Strike, a Warning, Circle, and Navigation to negate and wittle opponent's advantage away through banishing. Kinda agreeing and working off your point ^^
If eye of timieus was searchable within DMs they would be so much more consistent/powerful as it more or less negates eternal souls nuke effect when dragon knight is on the field as eternal soul is harder to remove. I feel most protect the castle type decks are weaker but playing DM I do feel there is potential but i do agree there is something missing, but great video regardless
As a DM player, I just want eye of Timaeus searchable. Just change it from "Dark magician" monster to "Dark Magician" or "Dark Magician Girl". The deck wouldn't become OP or anything, Blue Eyes would still be better.
Mattheuw1154 instead of trap cards it needs more monster effects or quick play spells there's only like one normal summon in the entire deck it needs more cards that summon Dark Magician and more monsters that count as Dark Magician on the field
I don't think you should laugh at anybody's deck. Sure, some decks aren't the best, but that's not entirely the player's fault. You put a late 20's dude with stable income who plays competitively and sinks $200+ into the game every month or a guy like me with no job who plays casually and barely has any budget, who do you think is gonna win? I run blue-eyes because they're good at what they do and they're kinda cheap. Are they the best deck? Not by a long shot. But I still run them, because it's the best I can do. Online though I run aliens because aliens are the best archetype and SPYrals can eat a dick, super agent has nothing on Gol'Gar
Jacob Broermann hes not so much laughing at the fact that they play these decks, rather the attitude that comes with it the vast majority of the time. So so many casual players are very vocal about how either their deck is secretly the best deck in the world but everyone else sucks or "if i had YOUR kind of time/money/etc i would be kicking everyones ass!" Theres always a ton of shit talking followed by excuses when asked where the results are. It's obnoxious.
Not a fair statement. Abc, and fun is are both decks that can be played with $30 it's play it to you're style and I thi k people who net deck play to konami pockets instead of their style but in casuals you can tell who understands themselves by their deck
Yashamaru Kenji probably because it's still a really small community And most of them are gamers, so they are really involved with the RUclips and the media in general And I really enjoy that!
... You can say the same about these when it comes to any deck. You laugh at anyone's deck and tell them it's weak of course they are going to get defensive and pissed off. Especially when they built it themselves.
Cyber dragons have been the only deck I've built in real life and i love playing it even if someone beats me. The cycle power and field swarm along with the extra deck options are just awesome.
Blue-Eyes is ok but it was only really Meta in a transitional format. Full power Kozmo, BA, and Monarchs were all better than Blue-Eyes and then once ABC came out Blue-Eyes was more or less forgotten about.
what I read the title as: "you can't laugh at these decks because they're actually better than you think!" what the title actually meant: "don't laugh at these shit decks because the peope playing them will get mad at you" lmao dzeeff is based af
I think the reason some fans of decks get offended when you mention that their decks are bad, is because they play casually and you look at the potential of a deck based on the meta. By meta standards at least 90% of decks are bad, but casually, some "rogue" decks can have potential.
I mean yeah Getting your deck called shit or bad is very discouraging even when the deck ant bad it's just normal, But people are looking at those decks with meta glasses on Where if that deck can't win in 1 or 2 turns, it's shit or bad
Gladius714 I think your right Like I don't play competitively mainly because I know my decks can't compete 😂 I love running odd eyes cyber dragon dark magicians and before links I ran a pure synco deck*I know I'm total trash" I just run what I enjoy playing and have fun with my friends
I play Cyber dragons because i like them. To me you have to sacrifice the aesthetic/theme of your deck to build a truly competitive one, any cosmetic choices detract from the ability to edge out the stronger more soulless decks
I literally experienced your cyber dragon player explanation last week at a locals. Blasted him away with ABC destrudo five times and he cried about not otk'ing me every time. xD
sam schmitz lol I OTK everytime with mine lol gotta put drawing cards like I'm running exodia though 16000atk after getting rid of your opponents back row.
I'm a casual player and I play dark magicians myself. It's really fun and you couldn't be more accurate when you said, "play four backrow, pass turn then get otk'd". It's by no means good or bad but I find it works for me especially since I didn't need to break the bank to make it. It can be successful but it can really come down to "the heart of the cards"(or as other people call it, BS) when playing it sometimes. I even run a lot of gimmiky cards either from the anime or just generally slow or overly tough to use both because they work well with the deck and are generally fun like I run the 3 dragon fusion spells, exodia, and even magician of black chaos, not really consistent most of the time and get me beat more often then not, but you can't beat the look on someones face when you manage to summon mirror force dragon and they scramble to remove it. all in all, I feel bad other dark magician players get so defensive, it's a card game and especially at the casual level, no one likes a salty player. I agree we've been power crept to the shadow realm and even though I feel it could be possible to build a rouge dark magician deck(especially if they add red-eyes dragoon or whatever to the tcg), if you're really that intent on playing competitively, dark magician just got left in ancient egypt and is too slow to get the perfect board.
I LOVE dark magicians and toons but what really anoyes me is every one at events makes fun of me for playing them. I spent 1 month calculating and testing my dark magician deck to find the best consistensy and i finaly got a deck that gave me a good hand 8,5 out of 10. But even if i topped the last 5 locals wich i did people still made fun of me. Dont make fun of people. My ffiend got so touched by this that he sold his casual dragon deck and spent 200 dollars on a blue eyes deck becose everyone made fun of us. I know my deck isnt very competetive but i shouldt be made fun of for it. Enyway thanks for reading this,i just had to get it out of my system and have a nice day whoevers reading this
I'm a casual player who plays Dark Magicians and I hate it when someone acts like Dark Magicians are the best or are competitive because I know they're wrong and atleast I can actually admit it
I like my DM deck, I don’t think it is the best but that’s part of why I do like it, the challenge to overcome or even try to combat the meta. Either way I play to have fun with a game I like.
If you play cyber dragons with the xyzs then you arent playing cyber dragons properly. Power bond otk or nothing! You do the Kaiser a great disservice by dabbling in such black magic! Such impurities don't belong in cyber dragons!
Best Name infinity is a filthy degenerative control card that has nothing to do with what the archetype is about. If you run infinity then you aren't playing cyber dragons, you're playing infinity turbo. It's like dark law, in that it's good but it is a disgrace to the archetype and pretty much made it to where you have to run it or you're stupid. Infinity was a mistake and anybody who plays it doesn't understand what cyber dragons are supposed to be.
i will always have a special place in my heart for cyber dragon and dark magician. but i have to admit, my favorite decks to use right now (in duel links at least) are gouki and magical muskets. working on building a mekk-knight deck, but yknow... broke af.
The problem I have is Dark Magicians can’t do much without a lot of setup. Like most of my plays and strategies against casual cards get shut down because it’s so inconsistent. I think It would be cool to call Dark Magician the ‘Dark Magic’ archetype. So that way you can search out monsters like Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Dark Magician of Chaos easier as well as the Spell and Trap cards and possibly make a new fusion like Dark Magic Fusion or just make eye of timaeus searchable.
In the OCG, I use frightfur patchwork. Here’s my combo Step one: use frightfur patchwork to add Edge Imp Chain and Poly to your hand. Step two: go into whatever fusion you want, using Edge Imp Chain. Step three: use Edge Imp Chain’s effect from your graveyard to add another patchwork to your hand Step four: repeat next turn :3
Dark Magician only works if you believe in the heart of the cards. Also a basic prerequisite to play Toon World is the ability to read your opponent's mind.
I myself play Cydras and to be honest I've never really cared if the deck is good because Cyber Dragon was my favorite card as a kid so I just never stopped playing them. I won't argue the deck is inconsistent but I play it mostly for the nostalgia and those 1 in 5 games where I do get my perfect hand. Great video btw :D
I feel a bit down to hear that most cyber dragon players are toxic... I like them too but I don´t care if I win or lose with them I just love em because of the show and cool factor that they have. Why can´t we all just have fun with this game guys? :(
i was expecting this to be a video about secretly good decks from the title, not complaining about people who are too defensive about their deck building
Honestly I only have a cyber dragon deck because I only play because my boyfriend taught me and I ended up liking it and it's the only deck I have and the way I have it built at least I do win against a lot of decks in different ways, I'm not saying I'm the best player im just saying that judging the player based on what deck they use instead of who they are and how they choose to use it is not the right way to go. I do otk once in a few games but it is not the only way I win and not only with infinity. Idk if it's just me but the people I know who also play cyber dragons are not like you described but I really can't say because I don't know every single person who plays it... I just think it's not that bad as you've seen people use it
Well, cydra is actually pretty good right now, especially with orcust being a popular deck. Its a good rogue tier, though it wasnt that good when this video came out
Funny thing is I have a Derek Magician, Cyber Dragon, and Toon deck built right now and I have had them for years. I love modifying them and playing all of them at locals or for fun and I really do wish Cyber Dragons or Toons could be meta again but I know that’s just a fantasy lol.
RainMasterXD yea you’re right. I mainly have a bias towards Cyber dragons and I would love to be able to play that deck competitively but I don’t see that day coming anytime soon
Ive been playing my cybers for about 4 years now and every year I've played it I've adapted it to compete against other decks sometimes it worked other times it didn't but even in link format I still run it and its still pretty fun even though I have a couple of other decks on the side
I love Dragons, I love big machines, I love fusion and I love Zane. Why should I care about loosing or winning a game? :D (except loosing to Mystic Mine)
I'm a Cyber Dragon user and tbh I agree with every one bit you said I personally won't try to prove my deck is superior then others it bricks so hard but in my opinion that's what makes Cyber Dragons so fun to me PS. I love your Yu-Gi-Oh videos especially the bad structure decks
I actually have a very consistent Cyber Dragon deck, but I built it with the OTK as an option, and I know it's not meta but my friends and I play for fun and that's all we care about. I know my Battling Boxers and Black Wings are considered better, but I find it fun to play, and E-Heroes are fun to play as well. I will say this, until Cyber Dragon Drei came out, I could never build a CD deck that I was satisfied with.
Good video and I like that I can come to RUclips to learn how competitive people are before officially going to a big tournament, but I literally have every deck on this list and use 0 of the arguments that you said. I Play to play and don’t make excuses. 1. Don’t care about cards not released 2. Chain burn was just to piss my cousin off 3. Power bond isn’t a good build in my opinion 4. Dark Magician is hit or miss. Never consistent 5. Toon is fun to play not great bcuz kingdom is too hard to protect Don’t wrap all players into the same person. Would have gotten a like from me if you didn’t group all players of these decks into one.
Depending on the style of cyber dragon deck what you said can be true but there is a way to make that deck into a a strategic stun deck. Also I’m a blue eyes user and our support is marginally more consistent than dark magician but no where near competitively against more competitively viable like heroes or even cyberse
Dark magician players are jealous of blue-eyes support Red-eyes players are jealous of dark magician support Vehcroid fans are jealous of red eyes support
I love cyber dragons specifically for being able to screw someone over that uses machine type monsters with chimeratech fortress dragon. I like the look on people's faces when they fill their entire field with machine type monsters and think they're going to win only for them all to just turn into fuel for a behemoth controlled by you. It's even funnier to have DNA surgery in your deck so you can do that to anyone. And if your opponent sees it coming and destroys your cyber dragon before you get a chance to do that you can just summon a proto cyber dragon right after because the original cyber dragon was just a free special summon. A card that can have a maximum of 10,000 attack points and can completely clear your opponent's field of monsters without them being able to do anything about it is nothing to spit at. XD
Not making excuses, I really don't have time to go to events 😂 I also don't delude myself into thinking my Cyber Dragon build is the best deck ever, I just really love it. Very enjoyable video!
Personally I love dark magician but to many of his cards are for explicitly aquiring him or dark magician girl. He needs more support cards that allow you to actually summon him and his variations and to counter against cards that negate his summoning
You can actually combine Cyber Dragons with XYZ/ABC's and Photon Spells to play out faster. Not trying to say it makes that deck great, it's just fun to play it out that way
Oh no, I've built 3 of these decks and seriously considered building the other two. I will say this, as a Dark Magician fan, I'm sorry so much of the fan base is so toxic. I for one am well aware that Dark Magician is trash and was never really competitive, but I like it anyway. Mostly for nostalgia.
Please explain to me how dzeeff is talking down to non-meta players? He is the most objective yugituber I have ever seen. Also screw you, the man plays fucking frogs. When were they meta?
Late comment, but as a lover of fluffals myself, I admit it isn't a TIER 1 OPTION THAT CAN TOTALLY TOP A YCS. Players like Sam Cox have shown the deck can play well, but at the end of the day, all of these decks can never truly reach the status of top tier decks. Players of these decks need to accept that these decks are nostalgic and fun to play, but until further support (if any) is announced, they won't be topping events with the same consistency as whatever the current format is using to win those events. Either way good video dzeeff! Players of any deck should recognize the value of humility when playing a children's card game.
Here's a tip : combine dark magician with odd eyes . You can pendulum summon the DM to activate the dark magic circle, use odd eyes dissolver to fuse DM with another of the odd eyes dragons for the dragon Knight, which combined with the eternal soul trap is very powerful , odd eyes fusion is pretty good as well and overall it's a very fun and interesting deck. I have been trying it out for a while and so far it's pretty good. I have even been able to compete against most of the meta , including true Draco and trickstar. So if you have bought the legendary dragon decks box it may be worth trying the 2 decks together.
Thanks for Frightfur Patchworking this video! I definitely Frightfur Patchwork with you on the about Toons, even though I Frightfur Patchwork they can Frightfur Patchwork some awesome builds. I wouldn't keep Frightfur Patchworking someone if they Frightfur Patchwork my Cyber Dragon Deck, and I certainly wouldn't Frightfur Patchwork at you. Thanks for Frightfur Patchworking that they're not that bad.
I am a DM player. But before you either disregard my comment or try to start an argument that will include the word "scrub" as a form of accusation, just know that I am not as toxic as the DM fanbase appears to be because I debate (give thoughtful responses to doubts of the deck and do not appear aggressive to comments that aren't aggressive back) rather than argue (shut out everyone's views and insult them for not believing the same thing I believe). While I could tell you about my ratio of win's to losses are really positive, you've stated that this reason should not be too effective to defend the deck. I would agree because of the quality of a duelist you face should be a leading factor to test whether the evidence you've gathered is legitimate or not (which people don't consider when they are dueling bad DM players because the winning duelists just regards every DM player as the same scrub they just beat), but I would disagree when you say that all they do is set backrow and lose the next turn. At first glance, a DM's strategy is only to get Circle out and then summon DM to banish. While this is true in most cases, you cannot excuse that for the entire purpose of the deck. I wouldn't say that the only goal for Cyber Dragons is to get out Infinity and expect to win right there. While Circle helps the deck a lot, it is not necessarily needed for the deck's survival (although it helps a lot, like the extra deck does). I am not going to sit here and overestimate my deck to the highest extent because that is what a close-minded scrub would do, but I will say that DM is not as bad as most of the Yugioh community puts it off to be. You say the consistency is terrible, but you should also know that every decks bricks and it revolves around how you build the deck to determine how often you brick (the better the build of the deck, the less you should brick). So if this is obviously the case, then why say that the build of a DM deck doesn't matter when you also said that there are some really good cards in there as well? Most of the DM players just fill in cards that they feel would be useful in a DM deck and therefor, they do not make the deck competitive, but there are some competitive DM decks that could surprise you. The deck doesn't really run like a normal one because with the modern day meta, decks are now focusing on special summoning a ton of monsters on turn 1 and OTKing your opponent (ABC's, Pendulum Magician, SPYRALS). But with DM, the deck is focusing on backrow and trapping your opponent in order to foil some plays the opponent makes and make their end game only wishful thinking. If a DM deck just simply sets tons of backrow and doesn't do anything when you attack for game, obviously that isn't how the deck is supposed to be run and that isn't the purpose for DM. The cards in the DM deck work together fairly well, but just using them isn't enough. You need to know the proper time to use them (don't just waste your DM summon on your opponent's turn and waste Dark Magical Circle's effect when they have no monsters). When you understand how to use DM the proper way, the deck can become a lot more powerful, but scrubs would just argue and say you don't know what you're talking about. Please do not regard me as one of them.
I made this comment after you finished summarizing DM, not knowing you were going to reference back to the deck or provide a moral. After listening to why you feel the way you do, I completely agree with what you mean. You are simply providing facts from the community and facts from your own personal experience with them, but you weren't defining the decks directly. Then you said that if people truly believe something different of the deck then they should prove it to people and I agree with that wholeheartedly. You changed me from ignoring the Likes/Dislikes to giving the video a like.
*walks into a ycs, pulls out grenade "a bad comment about Blue eyes decks", removes pin, drops grenade and run like hell because all hell will break loose* Now don't get me wrong I'm a fan of the white dragon with blue eyes, but even I know that deck can lose and it's never about the deck or the cards, but the player who just finds a deck list, puts it together and never once bother to play test the deck before taking it to a local or regional
If had a dollar for every time someone said “my deck is good if you play/build it right” I’d be able to afford a good deck
That's... a lot.
noob
Why are people letting other people play & build their decks? Do they trust each other that much?
That's not entirely implausible. A friend of mine is a regional champion who has won several tournaments using Odd-eyes dragons. I have the Odd-eyes too and its not a bad deck at all, but I still haven't won any proper tournaments, not even local ones. I asked him why and he said it has to do with 3 things: the way you build your deck, the way you play it, and experience. Knowing every possible thing you can do at any given moment or situation is hard , but with proper experience and practice , you can achieve anything even with weak decks .
And I would get $1 from your "good" deck xD
If you laugh at a Lightsworn player they'll laugh with you because even lightsworn players hate our decks. Usually because even of the opponent plays nothing our combo kills us by turn seven.
Oh my god, sooo true
Lightsworn players cherish every moment because they know life is transient.
I once deck out my deck turn one because I could and I have no regrets
the best thing about being an alien user is that there aren't enough of us to be toxic in the first place.
Yes. you sir are a legend, ALIEN PLAYERS UNITE!
Real shit. We need more alien support
You should name your group Rata's tears
do you enjoy losing every game you play
i got used to it. but when the stars shine down on me i might get a win and it makes it worth it.
As a cyber dragon player you speak so much truth that I’m forced to tell you to commit power bond cyber end dragon
Just like the anime
The funny thing is that every time i hear about Cybers, my mind goes back to the days when Cyber Dragon was banned (and by extension, I had landed my arse on the "suspension list" (or as they used to call it, the "banned players"), because of how obscene my original build was... yet ironic enough, the only person who could ever keep up with me back then ran a Dark Magician deck, himself. But these days, DM, Blue-Eyes, and Grave Keepers are still right up there with Cybers as far as the most pain-in-the-arse decks to go against.
As an cyber dragon player i can agree
I goddamn hat infinite cyber dragon
What abot Hero players saying "I could've won if stratos was off the ban list".
stargameing in all seriousness though, stratos does not deserve to be banned.
Mega Tamer Ernie I know they can put him at 3 and he won't change anything but I hate it when hero players think they could've won the game if stratos was off the ban list.
Nah b,Hero players know they can't win a game even if he was at 3.
Arturia Pendragon They know they just won't admit it.
GUILTY! lol xD
this video would have been better if frightfur patchwork were released

It's disappointing to hear that the Dark Magician fan base has been known to apparently be toxic :(
I didn't know that myself, I built Dark Magician because he's my favourite card.
Yeah that kinda sucks
As in that the fanbase is toxic
Guardian285 I just got my first starter deck, and it's the yugi reloaded one, so I have a DM deck to start with, I'll see where I end up
Chain Burn player: 15 reasons why my deck is skillful
Six Samurai player: Shogun.
Lol
😂
Shi En + Shogun ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Negate their only spell for the turn.
@@Citrine the fact that Shi En + Shogun isn't a true lock upsets me.
Don't even mention the Kuriboh Steelswarm Amorphage players. Man those do not accept you telling them that their deck is a random mess and that they don't need 3 copies of each mirror force.
If you're not playing Kuriboh Steelswarm Amorphages then you're not trying to win
My question is,do they play even the shitty mirror forces from the beggining? If so it becomes "mirror force, the movie"
A D/D/D WITH AN UNREASONABLY LONG NAME Some of the are at the side deck. They aren't running more than 12 copies of Mirror Forces, they also need space for Magic Cylinders and Magical Hats.
Why not just play pure amorphages with pendulum switch? It works

dont forget all the raidraptor players who are like
"bruh, raidraptors are a lowkey sleeper deck and would be so good if kaijus didnt exist...or ash blossom...or lightning...or master rule 4"
*Triggered*
I remember people saying Dark Magician would be good if Summoned Skull didn't exist. That kind of stuff isn't going anywhere lol.
Most of the time, Ultimate Falcon is summoned with a simple Last Strix along with Skip Force (although yeah, if you summon it this way, your opponent won't receive battle damage that turn).
id argue the only 2 RR monsters that are worht a damn are ulti falcon and revolution falcon.
ulti falcon of course is towers 2.0 and with the rank up spell you have the potential to at least bring it back out of the grave once or twice moe even if it gets beaten over or kaiju'd
revolution falcon however i think is the decks best monster.
it's a rank 6 so it's very easy to get into especially with skip force or soul shave. and with it's effect to attack every monster one and drop the attack and defense down to 0, it's great at punishing over extention.
but with master rule 4 and no arsenal falcon. RRs cant do a whole lot anymore aside from just trying to turbo ulti falcon turn one
now, 3 years later, Red-Eyes and Dark Magician players rejoice as Dragun of Red-Eyes rips the format
And now more 1 year later, none of this decks are really competitive, and dragun is banned

dont laugh at my blue eyes deck...ive won so many duels on duel links
Orga777 any decks with high level monsters will have consistency issues.
Blue eyes also sucks in duel links now
I win reguraly with my Blue-Eyes deck online, when I go first and lock down my opponent with Amorphage Goliath I win 9/10 times.
Blue eyes is ok in the tcg, but they actually suck in duel links. Less consistent than red eyes, and one of the best cards in the deck, champion's vigilance, is at one. Blue eyes has simply lost relevance in duel links.
Same here dude, but my Ancient Gears on duel links is still better. lol

But anyway, the moral of the story is I made the D/D/D fanbase toxic for everyone I knew.
good news, with master rule 5 and a new link d/d/ds are pretty good now
I dont laugh at anyones deck... Ive lost to the worst decks ever made. Brick or not it was a loss.
Even really bad players can win if lucky. Losing against the don't make them good(nor their decks).
Holy shit someone who understands that bricking isn't an excuse woah
I play performapals which isn’t exactly the best deck I’d you don’t have an odd eyes 😅
You are my favorite player, hands down
When I played a Cyber Dragon Deck, coming back to Yu-Gi-Oh briefly (the card shop I used to play at closed, sadly) it took several goes before I was even able to get 3rd at the local tournament.
Toons are so bad but they're cool I wish they would get more support maybe they will since Pegasus got more relinquished cards
Your right there they won't be good until they release some cards that let some attack the first turn they are summoned and some card that really protects toon Kingdom. Like it should have been built into toon Kingdom like if it would be removed from the field just banish the top card of your deck.
My friend plays toon and Aperently his best combo is a 4 CARD COMBO, I like toons too but they rely on the field spell too much.
Orga777 Pegasus play's for fun I'm pretty sure
William Mclean ikr im also building one of em l love em
William Mclean it’s not a good archetype if they lose kingdom it’s a wrap usually specially in Duel Links
I play dark magician and you are correct about everything
Tony Clifton true, but at least us dm players can compete with a lot of rogue decks, other then for instance most red eyes
Du13zzR3P7iiL3 You're talking about the same guy who takes Frogs and Batteryman to regionals, right?
If eye of timieus was searchable within DMs they would be so much more consistent/powerful as it more or less negates eternal souls nuke effect when dragon knight is on the field as eternal soul is harder to remove. I feel most protect the castle type decks are weaker but playing DM I do feel there is potential but i do agree there is something missing, but great video regardless
Callum Lumb that's the only reason to run the rank 7 red eyes, it ignores the destruction of soul.
As a DM player, I just want eye of Timaeus searchable. Just change it from "Dark magician" monster to "Dark Magician" or "Dark Magician Girl". The deck wouldn't become OP or anything, Blue Eyes would still be better.
Haha I like dark magician but you're right they do have really bad consistency problems
William Mclean if they get a decent to good hand they usually win. A brick is usually an automatic L.
It needs a way to summon Dark Magician that's not a slow trap. That way you could summon Dragon Knight first turn and set up properly.
Mattheuw1154 thats y i play veil
Mattheuw1154 instead of trap cards it needs more monster effects or quick play spells there's only like one normal summon in the entire deck it needs more cards that summon Dark Magician and more monsters that count as Dark Magician on the field
As someone who plays DM, and as someone who runs 3 of everything that should be 3, I still brick damned hard at times.
Agree my problem is stuff cost money and I don't have 100 bucks to spare
The only money I was able to spend on this game I got cyber Dragon and even though I don't know everything I still enjoy it
Jacob Broermann Sorry for replying on a five month comment but it was so insightful and touching until that last bit HAHAHA
Not a fair statement. Abc, and fun is are both decks that can be played with $30 it's play it to you're style and I thi k people who net deck play to konami pockets instead of their style but in casuals you can tell who understands themselves by their deck

No, they're not good enough.
Gshiin yeah they die to gravekeeper stun, anything that runs vanity's fiend or Vanity's ruler and dark law decks lol
Blue-Eyes is ok but it was only really Meta in a transitional format. Full power Kozmo, BA, and Monarchs were all better than Blue-Eyes and then once ABC came out Blue-Eyes was more or less forgotten about.
what I read the title as: "you can't laugh at these decks because they're actually better than you think!"
what the title actually meant: "don't laugh at these shit decks because the peope playing them will get mad at you"
lmao dzeeff is based af
I think the reason some fans of decks get offended when you mention that their decks are bad, is because they play casually and you look at the potential of a deck based on the meta. By meta standards at least 90% of decks are bad, but casually, some "rogue" decks can have potential.
I mean yeah
Getting your deck called shit or bad is very discouraging even when the deck ant bad it's just normal, But people are looking at those decks with meta glasses on
Where if that deck can't win in 1 or 2 turns, it's shit or bad

Yeah. Context is important. I’m not gonna take my Digital Bugs to anything especially competitive.
How could you not let him OTK you? So selfish!!! kappa
ABC is auto lose against cyber dragons. They must be trash. Contact fusion is broken vs machine match ups
Jonni cyber dragon should be able to fusion into chimeratech fortress dragon and use ABC as material for its summoning.
Good job. But that guys must've been the worst cyber dragon player if he didn't absorb any of your cards, your win regardless tho cheers
Cyber dragons are pretty dope, some people play em cause they look cool and it’s fun to otk. I play them so I can chimera tech with dna trapcard
Enyway thanks for reading this,i just had to get it out of my system and have a nice day whoevers reading this
If someone made fun of my deck then I would punch them
every opinion matters, even these hands if you talk shit about my deck
"Guys, my Neo Spacian deck just won a single game!"

Anarcat lol what. Infinity or bust

Here’s my combo
Step one: use frightfur patchwork to add Edge Imp Chain and Poly to your hand.
Step two: go into whatever fusion you want, using Edge Imp Chain.
Step three: use Edge Imp Chain’s effect from your graveyard to add another patchwork to your hand
Step four: repeat next turn
:3
I’m just gonna sit here and enjoy my Exodius deck.
This is funny now that Cyber Dragons are a decent rogue deck.
I played dark magicians and consistently lost to a makeshift deck that took 3 hours to build
Dark Magician only works if you believe in the heart of the cards. Also a basic prerequisite to play Toon World is the ability to read your opponent's mind.
I accidently offended a dark world player, it did not go well
I just want more support
I myself play Cydras and to be honest I've never really cared if the deck is good because Cyber Dragon was my favorite card as a kid so I just never stopped playing them. I won't argue the deck is inconsistent but I play it mostly for the nostalgia and those 1 in 5 games where I do get my perfect hand.
Great video btw :D
I feel a bit down to hear that most cyber dragon players are toxic... I like them too but I don´t care if I win or lose with them I just love em because of the show and cool factor that they have. Why can´t we all just have fun with this game guys? :(
I love Cyber Dragons too, they’re amazing and I love the style. Also they’re pretty consistent, at least compared to a few others.
i was expecting this to be a video about secretly good decks from the title, not complaining about people who are too defensive about their deck building
I'm a Cyber Dragon user and tbh I agree with every one bit you said I personally won't try to prove my deck is superior then others it bricks so hard but in my opinion that's what makes Cyber Dragons so fun to me
PS. I love your Yu-Gi-Oh videos especially the bad structure decks
Now you should talk about the best deck communities. Like luck deck players.Three time wizzids and twin barrel dragons for life.
1. Don’t care about cards not released
2. Chain burn was just to piss my cousin off
3. Power bond isn’t a good build in my opinion
4. Dark Magician is hit or miss. Never consistent
5. Toon is fun to play not great bcuz kingdom is too hard to protect
Don’t wrap all players into the same person.

I'm still a Cyber Dragon deck player 😂
Dark magician players are jealous of blue-eyes support
Red-eyes players are jealous of dark magician support
Vehcroid fans are jealous of red eyes support
I personally love cyberdragons, but I think that every cyberdragon-player knows that the deck is bad.And now that we have links, the deck is dead.

You can actually combine Cyber Dragons with XYZ/ABC's and Photon Spells to play out faster.
Not trying to say it makes that deck great, it's just fun to play it out that way
I ♥️cyber dragon.
There needs to be a toon card that allows all the monsters to attack turn 1. Toons are really unique, but the monsters themselves are the issue
Wow I'm surprised that blackwings aren't on this list XD
If this list was made 2 years ago or any time before that then they probably would have been #1 tbh
Dude I've never gotten rid of all the Blackwing players
Birds of a feathers flock together... Sh#t hopefully I didn't summon them like I do when I feed birds with bread crumbs.
This channel can be summarised as:

+Sam Bowmer I don't even play meta, I just don't play garbage eithee
The dudes played F.A's, man Wtf.
Six samurai players are nice
This is a message from the future, cyber dragon is actually a pretty good rogue deck in 2018 going in to 2019 and it’s been doing better

You're obviously lying about never loosing to Dark Magician.
*walks into a ycs, pulls out grenade "a bad comment about Blue eyes decks", removes pin, drops grenade and run like hell because all hell will break loose*
Now don't get me wrong I'm a fan of the white dragon with blue eyes, but even I know that deck can lose and it's never about the deck or the cards, but the player who just finds a deck list, puts it together and never once bother to play test the deck before taking it to a local or regional
Dont laugh at f.a.
Its too sad
