    I entered my 20s at the beginning of the pandemic and I still feel like a teenager. I'm about to turn 22 and haven't really processed it at all. It's comforting to hear someone articulate that feeling of like, not 'lost time', but feeling kind of cheated out of the natural progression through certain ages that people hype up so much.

      Lol I'm right there, turned 21 at the beginning of the pandemic. I also have the feeling of lost time, and I wonder how it will feel many years in the future or whenever we reach a point where we can look back at this time? Like it's hard to look backwards now. Idk

    On aging and the disparity between gen z and millenials, I think class plays more into it than you might think. I'm a lower class 18 year old who lives in the middle of shitass nowhere and I relate to millennials often times a lot more than those of my own generation especially online because a lot of gen z tiktok culture being the culture of middle/upper middle class and a teen. Gen z who are lower class and have access to less things will relate to the last generation more because they can't afford new shit. That's my 2 cents ig, very good video! Thank you for the christmas present.

      Definitely, I agree that class plays into our ideas of generations more than articles about generational differences tend to talk about
      Esp with gen x/millennials/gen z, so much of how we define those generations is about the technology we each grew up with, and not everyone can afford to buy their kids their own computers/have a family computer/send their kids to a school with new computers/etc

    • @emilyfletcher7124
      @emilyfletcher7124 2 года назад +18

      definitely! I'm gen z and grew up with a single mum who was relatively low income, so just had us watch old shows for the 60s and 80s on youtube. I always have great discussions with middle aged people about He Man, Jem and the Holograms, Cities of Gold and Kimba the White Lion!!

      @hannahofaragon2224 2 года назад +5

      Oh 100%. I'm in my very early 20s and I grew up in a rural lower class area and I related so much more to Millennials, especially when it comes to technology. We had Dial Up and vhs tapes my whole childhood, for example. I think class is such an important factor to how we discuss generation gaps.

Thanks but 27 is NOT OLD. 27 was never old, well except maybe in the 1800's. What happened??? At the same time, most of my relatives expect me to get married and start having children in like, the next few months. Some coherence would be nice. But alright, I'll try to keep looking 22 whilst birthing some children, I guess 😅 anyway, good to have you back!

    Okay, I understand the hair plight! I am a lazy natural so here are some things that have helped me with my naturally curly hair (I’m 4C for reference, but I don’t really go by the curl chart):
    1) shampoo and condition regularly (I wash my hair once or twice a week)
    2) emulsify your conditioner with water, you’ll use way less conditioner this way and our hair needs water
    3) while conditioning, use a Felicia leatherwood brush to detangle (omg it works wonders!)
    4) once you finish conditioning, apply literally one (1) styling product (mousse or gel-no oil, oil and water don’t mix, oil does nothing for moisture) and sit under the dryer and that’s it!
    I followed Jennifer-Rose NYC for a lot of tips and my hair is much healthier and I’ve retained so much length!

    Thank you for this gift of a video! I'm 32 and get mistaken for being like 15 All. The. Damn. Time. Last summer when I went to the swimming pool one of the lifeguards tried to make me prove I could swim before letting me in the deep end. Sometimes I get offered the children's menu at restaurants. I got into a museum for the children's price without asking for it. At the dentist they give the kids goodie bag with the mini toothpaste. I went with my sister to apply for middle school when I was in college and they asked if I was applying too. I once got an annoying salesman to leave me alone by saying "I need to ask my dad" even though I am a grown adult who is old enough to run for U.S. senate. I could go on... Its okay though because I'm pretty sure I'm immortal at this point.

    the “eyelid pimple” is probably a sty! they are little cysts that often appear due to stress. usually they disappear on their own. warm compresses can help too, like with a warm (not hot) herbal teabag. but i have one that i also thought was a pimple and also tried popping 🙈, and now it’s been on my eyelid for about 3 years. your primary care can probably remove it, otherwise see a dermatologist. i’m excited to get mine removed now that i finally got insurance this month! 🎉

    • @jyesthamars
      @jyesthamars 2 года назад +1

      styes usually form internally or externally on your eyeline due to the the meibomian glands in your eyelids to keep them from drying out and stuff. those things hurt like hell when you blink and feels like something is either pressing on your eye or is rolling around in your eyelid. what nisa has is probably milia and you're right she may need to see a derm for that bc milia are very annoying & hard to remove by yourself

    How can anyone break up with you? Whenever I get rejected, I wonder if there's anything wrong with me, but if even someone as beautiful, sweet and interesting as you gets rejected, it's really not always about you, but you two just weren't a match. It's sad, but you'll be okay and the right person for you won't break up with you, because the right person wants to be with you just as much as you want to be with them.

    My experience with bras:I have large breasts and I've never understood how bigger chested people usually say that not wearing a bra is painful or uncomfortable. Wearing a bra to me is SO uncomfortable, even wireless "comfy" bras are just so restrictive and underwires are agony. I'm not super active so my sweat isn't that bad compared to what it would be if I went outside braless, I live in the tropics in Australia so when it's hot and humid of course I sweat a lot. But then if I'm home, which if I'm not wearing a bra I am, I will literally fold my shirt underneath my boobs or I will powder underneath my breasts which definitely helps. I do get uncomfortable underneath sometimes but nothing compares to the chafing, shoulder pain and general discomfort I feel wearing bras. And no it's not because it's the wrong size (which everyone says) I've tried every kind of bra and many different sizes/price ranges and I hate them all, but now that I've discovered wireless bras/elastic bras it is definitely bearable, I can even wear them to sleep if I'm tired enough. I'm too used to freedom now at this point but I still won't go outside braless because I don't want to deal with the judgement and harassment I'd get being my size :(

The sweat just gets in the way so I can deal with the discomfort of a bra instead of feeling gross all summer

      Yeah lowkey been considering wearing bras again just bc it's so sweaty and uncomfortable sometimes

      Try applying your deodorant/antiperspirant to your underboob! I'm a J cup and I it lets me go bra free about half the time.

      @@shakeaboot Thank you!! I'll definitely invest in one for more sensitive skin since my underbook likes to act up sometimes XD

      I have a G cup and also Lupus which I think makes my ribs hurt so any bra is awful...but I also have POTS and cannot regulate my temperature so I'm always sweaty and UGH. Bralettes and deodorant make me able to function in society I swear.

    I appreciate not wearing a bra most times. Free range = less back pain tbh. Now that I work in person again, wearing a bra everyday is doing a number on my upper back 🥺 glad to see you on YT again! I missed you ❤️

    this also reminded me that in fact, some kids really had plotlines when playing, while my tiny neurodivergent self just arranged and rearranged my toys over and over again and got super upset when playing with other kids when there were any conflict in the plotline haha

      same, I'm amazed that other kids were so imaginative while playing with toys or doing roleplaying games. I would just dress up my dolls, undress them, dress them in a different outfit, repeat, and then carefully put them back. i didn't GET playing pretend💀but now as a teacher it's kinda fun to play along with the kids, they're interesting... too freaking late, now

    I have larger breasts (last time I wore one it was a DDD and then I just gave up when that stopped fitting) and don’t wear a bra. I do sweat; it’s just more comfortable than a bra which I would also sweat in. How I deal with it is raising them and then complaining loudly about how sweaty they are.
