Wrong about so many things:
- this is firstly a whole home wireless speaker (think Sonos) and not meant to be a Bluetooth speaker. That's why it has a network port and a wall mount at the back.
- this works with Google assistant and Amazon Alexa
- you can play music wirelessly using Spotify Connect/Tidal connect WITHOUT the Heos app. So NO, Android don't only have to use the HEOS app.

The speaker has a real problem with latency when using Bluetooth on tv. Like the sound though.
