My favorite thing about this entire season let alone the finale is Jessica’s dynamic with Trish. Also, it’s still hard for me to believe that Eka Darville started out as a Power Ranger. RPM is still one of the best seasons to date.
Hey, Emme! Now that you've finished "Jessica Jones" Season 1 and "Daredevil" Season 2, you're ready for the next step: "Luke Cage" Season 1! When Claire tells Foggy in "Daredevil" Season 2 that she treated someone like Matt but stronger than Matt, she was referring to the encounter she had with Luke in this episode! This was also the introduction to DA Reyes who gets killed in "Daredevil" Season 2! Do you now understand why the series are supposed to be seen in a specific sequence?
Also this episode storyline happened before the episode of DAREDEVIL SEASON 2 where the hand attacked the hospital and the powers that be of the hospital wanted CLAIRE TO BE PART OF THE COVER-UP WHICH IN TURN MADE HER QUIT
About Clair still working for the hospital and DA Reyes…being alive…facing Hogarth. You actually were supposed to watch Jessica Jones after DareDevil season 1 then watch DareDevil season 2. That’s the correct chronological order of when the shows came out.
You're right because in season 2 of Daredevil Claire quit working at the hospital after the Hand attacked the hospital trying to get the kids whose blood they drained back and they killed one of the nurses and the hospital when did Claire to be part of the cover-up
Thanos was a terrfying villian on a much larger scale, but for my money there is no villian in the MCU more terrifying than Killgrave. He's just on a whole different level.
He was terrifying partly because he didn't want anything besides the whim of the moment. He left destroyed lives behind him, but no large scale havoc that could be used to pin him down except by someone who already knew about him.
Thanos wanted to save the worlds. He didn't see any other way, except depopulation. Kilgrave liked hurting people and using people and didn't care about them, at all.
I was also worried, especially since I knew from the comics that the Purple Man is pretty much immortal and has there come back from worse injuries. And even though I know that Rosario Dawson plays Claire and Ahsoka, I still only see her in the role she is playing, thus our Emme here caught me off-guard by mentioning Ahsoka.
"How is no one wondering where she is?" Well, the entire hospital is compelled to find Jessica Jones, so no one will be wondering where Claire is for at least the next 24 hours.
As you've seen, the series has already provided hints about where this goes in S2. As for Luke Cage S1, it was good enough to get him a S2. IIRC, it was 50% good and 50% average, whereas Daredevil and Jessica Jones S1 were more like 90% good. I don't mean to put Luke Cage's show down, but we rarely get such great shows as Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
Yep. I loved Luke Cage S1, and I think that it was a good show. But Daredevil S1 an Jessica Jones S1 are simply amazing. Also, getting a S2 is not a good indicator. Iron fist also got a S2. I would honestly skip Luke Cage S1 for now and Would go for The Punisher S1.
@@joaopaulodiasfranca472 Yeah, I haven't revisited those series since their initial airing, so my memories are growing a bit vague, but I thought the Punisher was probably in the middle position between DD + JJ and the rest. I usually advocate for all of DD, S1 of JJ, somewhat reluctantly the Defenders, and then the two seasons of the Punisher. I wouldn't mind seeing a reaction to Luke Cage S1 ... I'd watch that.
@@SG-js2qn I don't remmeber the exact order. But I don't think that there is any additional information need to watch the punisher besides what we get in DD S2. I am pretty sure that P S1 happens before DD S3. I would watch her reaction to LC S1 for sure, but I don't think it's saying much. I think that as Long as I've seen the show/movie I'll watch Emme reacting to it.
@@SG-js2qn Oh I see now, in my previous reply I think you were talking about chronology. You are talking about quality when you mention being between DD + JJ and the rest. Agree fully(also memory a bit fuzzy since it has been so long).
Luke Cage's first season was very much a 1a and 1b. I have a major problem with 1b, but I don't want to go into what it is until emme does her reactions to it.
Emme I hope you do watch at least the first half of season 1 of Luke Cage because you can't watch The defenders without knowing Luke Cage's backstory. In the comic books Luke and Jessica have marvels best love story , ends up being the new Captain America in future comics
Unfortunately the 1st season is the best, without Kilgrave seasons 2 and 3 lack a compelling villain. They are entertaining but lack the tension and twists of the first series and David Tennant is such an amazing actor that even when he is playing someone so vile he still steals every scene he is in.
Everyone in the MCU owes Jessica Jones a drink for ending Killgrave. Any villain in any movie would have been worse with Killgrave behind them, controlling them.
My read on Luke is that he hasn't forgiven Jessica for lie behind their relationship - he's too good a man to leave her in prison for killing Kilgrave, but if she's ok he wants nothing to do with her. I'm good with that, because it was a really really shitty lie.
No Emme, the guys were just a random couple. Kilgrave just said "remove dad from the face of the earth" referring to his dad. You're reading too much into that lol
Claire is making an appearance in this episode.. we get back to back Rosario Dawson characters today, I’m watching the Ahsoka 2x1 reaction after this. That woman is busy.
You're going to need to pick up on the Defenders saga before going too far into the MCU movies and shows... Daredevil season 3 should definitely be a top priority after Defenders
What I didn’t like about this is how in the heck was Kilgrave able to control people through the phone and speaker systems. We know he emits a virus that lets him control minds but how come that virus reaches people through phones and speakers. Doesn’t make any sense. Questionable writing moment, I guess.
I think he still has to be nearby so the virus is circulating in the air. I don't think he can call someone in another state and expect his power to work. But yeah, a little inconsistent.
I loved watching season 1 with you i just wish you continued with the rest of the show 😊
The thing Kilgrave talks about doing to Jessica - making her want him, but never touching her - is what he actually did to her in the comics.
My favorite thing about this entire season let alone the finale is Jessica’s dynamic with Trish.
Also, it’s still hard for me to believe that Eka Darville started out as a Power Ranger. RPM is still one of the best seasons to date.
Nothing beats Zeo for me, but I should def watch RPM with my son if it's good.
@@TheEverwritten it’s one of the darkest Power Ranger seasons so far. Eka portrays the team’s Red Ranger Scott Truman.

Really hope Emme watches all of the netflix shows, so rare for reactors to watch them all and Emme truly is one of the best in the business

Terrorists vs serial rapists and killers.
One causes more damage but one is more evil
What a terrific conclusion to the series! And Hogarth actually does her job as an attorney.
I was so happy when Malcolm answered the phone and said, How can we help? It was closee to what happened in the comics.
The eye-needle scene alone made me regret watching the finale lol
you are ment to watch luke cage and iron fist before defenders. If you just jump into that you'll be confused. Anyway enjoy, love your reactions!
And if she skips Luke Cage she'll be surprised about what happens between Claire and Luke when she sees them in the defenders
"How is no one wondering where she is?"
Well, the entire hospital is compelled to find Jessica Jones, so no one will be wondering where Claire is for at least the next 24 hours.
Fantastic dark and ending, great reactions 😊
That lady talking to Jessica at the end is from Daredevil S2. Reyes, the one the persecuted Frank
You have the best “eww” face reaction.
Jessica/Trish was a wonderful relationship in this season.
Jessica is Peter Parker classmate in school.

I just watched your Ahsoka reaction with Rosario Dawson and David Tennant and now ... here's Rosario Dawson and David Tennant - trippy! 😂
HAHA that is interesting!
Hope you do all the Netflix shows. Luke Cage is next, and eventually Defenders.
Clair could be like the Coulson of this shows and bring the characters together. Hello 👋🏻.
Emme I hope you do watch at least the first half of season 1 of Luke Cage because you can't watch The defenders without knowing Luke Cage's backstory. In the comic books Luke and Jessica have marvels best love story , ends up being the new Captain America in future comics
Princess Emme looks lovely today 💙
Disney Princess, she reminds me of.
1:27 😌😌 hype
No reason you can't watch Luke Cage alongside WandaVision. It'll work better than watching DD and JJ together.

Emme i think this episode's storyline happened before CLAIRE QUIT IN THE EPISODE OF DAREDEVIL SEASON 2
I know :) it was a joke when i said i was surprised she wasn’t fired
Yeaaaaaaas

He increased the distance of the virus's reach, so he could control the whole hospital with the virus, it just needed his voice to activate it.
