In short: •Stick to one build ( Be Patient ) • Don't spend too much too any unnecessary things •Save currency and sell things ( don't buy things only important ones) •Play the game ( High tier maps with Sextant, Scarab and High awakening level) •Do Master Mission ( can profit you 1ex-3ex ) • Get lucky drops! Would to add if you casual player 1-3 hours a day I highly suggest being efficient on mapping is important. No break or downtime like ItsYouji said focus what you're doing like mapping don't break ( Run map put map run again ) as you have limited time to play. After 2 weeks or 3, you have multiple exalt than you imagine.
Number 1 is usally the hardest in my opinion . I also recommend downloading currency cop , some exalts are “hidden” behind tons of other currencies , essences , div cards etc etc . You can see that you are actually making bank even though you don’t see any physical exalts in your stash !
Also, how to make $1 million IRL. Focus on your core skill. Try to do what you enjoy. Don't spend money on unnecessary things. Minimize downtime, always be grinding. Get lucky?
It helps a lot if your league starter scales well and you like it. In Metamorph I started with Cold DoT Occultist and I liked the playstyle so I stuck with it throughout the league. Though I didn't adhere to tip #3 because I constantly upgraded it and respecced 2 times into different variants, I still got enough currency for a HH by the end. In Delirium, I don't like my starter CA/TR Trickster as much (feels too squishy) so the currency is coming in more slowly...not sure if I should try to upgrade it or save up for a reroll (eyeing Storm Brand Archmage).
I had my Headhunter drop on the floor in a fortune favors the brave map. I was already at 96/105 ex for the headhunter, so I had currency to kit out the build. Congrats on the grind!
I'm pretty sure that if you convert all currency in your stash tab (not including essences, fossils, oils, blighted maps, red beasts, near perfect stat unique gears, high tier stats rare gear, unveiled items) into chaos, you probably have 3-5 ex already when playing in first week of the league.
This was awesome to hear. Coming off my first 15 exalt 2 day run. Hearing this, makes me feel that the tune was likely not a fluke. Grind. Get rewarded.
TBH, I needed this video this league and it felt good to see a tips video from a person who is actually relatable and not a professional streamer. I largely do what you do, but I tend to view the HH as a trophy item more than a central build focus, but the road to get there gives you enough currency so you can literally fill in any blanks you need to BiS your necessary items or add onto BiSes that have an open prefix or suffix.

Damn, it actually worked for me. I got lucky and rop the Savior, and after that, i followed your advices. I got 80ex+ in one week. I have a job and a 3 yo to take care of, so i figured i will never have a headhunter... but here we go. Nice video dude and thx ;)

I love farming, same thing over and over is fine since I'm still new trying all sorts of different skills, but I almost gave up playing after I got finished by catarina in master safehouse. Even though someone helped me out for free, so hearing this makes me want to play it again in my own way.

This is what I don´t get in most poe groups. Everyone wants a mirror to drop so they have currency but noone actually wants to play the game while playing the game is the easiest way to get wherever you wanna get. It is very nice to see you saying "Do not try to get a HH in the first place" as the first tip. People always set their goal and forget that they should just play the game and have fun and if you have fun, have a build you enjoy the currency starts stockpiling on its own. If you have a 6l you don´t need fusings anymore. Upgrades would cost 5ex? Well why would you consider an upgrade then? It is no rocket science in my mind and I am glad you say so as well and share this knowledge. Thank you Yoji :3

Well i also accidentally farmed a headhunter, i just droped one 3 weeks ago from a T15 Plateau boss, due to the AL bonus that can drop uniques also league specific uniques
from my experience (quite new to the game), the most important thing is to find "your" build, so you can enjoy actual gameplay, whatever you like - bossing, delving, mapping, etc. if you are too focused on currency gains, you won't be playing the game anymore - you will be working for c's/ex's/mirr's. eventually, you are at risk to become a hideout warrior (those guys are rich, btw). in the beginning, i was trying melee chars - 1st was cycloner-jugg, kinda zDPS since 3.9 - was much better in 3.8, but still worthy survivor - retiree & lab runner. then i tried some other melee stuff - more juggs, champs - nothing good. slayer-cycloner was (and remains) a nice addition to my melee experience, but something still was wrong - i wasn't sure that i have understanding - why i run maps... grinding, kinda. bows. MF bows!!! had no idea how it works, when i began lvling my first ranger. but i liked it! it wasn't amazingly rewarding in the beginning, but it was interesting and alluring. first ex while lvling, second ex in low-tier maps, after that i started investing. sorry but i'm filthy stdrt player, and have access to leg items, so i bought a couple... =) now i run low-tier maps (in bulk), and enjoing gameplay. MF doesn't guarantee you anything, you can get 2 ex from a 50 map-run in 2 or 3 hours, or can get zero ex in a couple of days, doesn't matter how many maps had you run =). gl hf!
Did the same thing ( but had a 3 weeks holiday), set up a pretty nice Bow build with Arborix, Voidfletcher and a 38ex Watcher's Eye on Top of it ( definitley not necessary ). Started out as Icicle Miner, played the game as i liked it ( lots of maps, Awakener, Shaper, Uber Elder etc. ) Goal was to kill Uber Elder again and was accomplished. After that I still had a lot of currency lying around but farming for HH seems a bit far stretched since I was already playing the league 3-4 weeks in. But yeah, farming a Headhunter is doable if your build is completed and you're just enjoying the game.
I did so too - for the first time ever. I tried to farm at least 1 ex per day and due to some luck I managed to earn even 6 ex per day some days. But boy was HH expensive this league.
As a father of two young children and working 50+ hours a week, thank you for this video. I kind of needed to hear this right now. I've been stuck at level 90 for a few days on my RF / Vortex / Vaal Cold Snap Trickster, and was just getting ready to reroll despite enjoying the character. Dying in red maps was starting to burn me out I suppose.
you can run T11+ for a while to grind up some currency. Family and work life can be stressful enough sometimes, no need to stress about PoE on top. Just continually improve upon your character and you'll get to do the endgame without dying. DoT tricki boy is a great build that can definitely achieve this :)

nice tip on the fortune favours, it's a good idea to add that on t14+, in my experience if you roll beyond by chance on your map double beyond is nutty and a lot of fun
The hardest for me is No 2, finding an enjoyable build. I am a relatively new player even though I have signed up for the game at 2013. In 2013, I played a Flicker build, helped by a friend of mine. I lasted less than a week and went back to WoW. Same in 2016 although it is a Trapper, lasted less than a week and went back to WoW. Last month in 2019 though, I decided to start the new league with a Necromancer (with the same friends) played it, got enough currency, trade for stuffs to get it up but I hate that I have to keep spawning my zombies, going to Ashen Field to get my Spectres (even bought Celestial skins for my Necro) etc and rerolled to Assassin Double Strike/Flicker (because I love melee). Got my Assassin high to 86-ish and stuck in mid-tier yellow maps against Metamorphs. Literally got 1 shotted and gave up. Reascend my Assassin to Trickster. Went for ED/C, felt it to be too slow for my liking and then I changed to Divine Ire. Again I reascend my Shadow to Assassin thinking Divine Ire would be better with Assassin but felt the playstyle to be really clunky, slow cast speed charge and not enough damage despite 2x VB. Right now I am playing Storm Brand Assassin and doing well so far. I guess I will just stick with this one. Didn't manage to kill Sirus with it but at least I got it down to 30%~ yesterday. I just hope I won't reroll again haha.

Another Tip: Use global 820 and play with other people to optimize your farming. You can delve more often if you do sulphite runs, capture 6 times more red beasts if you do beast runs, level up crazy fast to 100 with breachstone/beachhead/poorjoy's sharing...
Selfcurse Temp Chains Setup ist das Beste fürs Headhunter-Mapping, da dieser die Dauer der Buffs deutlich verlängert. Dann einfach einen Build aussuchen der mit Critical Strikes arbeitet. Ich spiele zB einen Ice Shot Raider mit diesem Setup. Boah, das geht wirklich ab 😎
Currently with 8 ex on my toxic rain build, already upgraded from quill rain to a +3 with chaos dmg o t multi, damn this league is the most rewarding of all
I got my HH last night as well. Like you said, I didn't really aim for it, but somehow i got all the exalts sitting there and doing nothing However, my build doesn't really benefit from HH. Now I need to find a build that works with HH. Grats again!
Biggest thing is, people forget how much currency you can amass if you're not "spending" it. I actually just set a small goal... to buy the saviour. At this point, I was almost done with the game, I was saving up currency for a ll trapper, and got scammed for a supposedly 6l shavs, which was only a 4+2l. My fault entirely, since the one selling it wasn't even lvl 30& no ascendancy, clicked accept anyway because I was so excited. Anyway, just left it as a learning experience and started to grind for 24 exalts starting from 100c. From a non-speed mapping build (no HH just to point it out), in 2 days I managed to grind+trade for the saviour. Was actually VERY SURPRISED myself that if you really "tried", you can farm a ton of currency. Literally just set up your trade + maps, and you in a span of a few hours, you'll be trading a bunch of chaos for exalts and vice versa. Meanwhile, you're doing this while you're also getting a lot of loot from maps. And as a bonus, I do think metamorph is one of the easiest league to farm currency in (besides blight, because I didn't play it) and easiest league to do the challenges. Still in the end though, saviour build wasn't as good as my main one, and I really went HARD just to finish the last few challenges for the portal effect, the last one being awaken the atlas... and the last conq. just refused to taunt, usually it averages about 3-5 maps, but this guy took 15 maps. After I killed the boss, the portal spawned outside the map, hence I had to do the taunts again. Really burned me out sadly after I killed him lol. However, league is only about halfway done, maybe I still have some time to go back and farm a HH now lol.
Ive been looking for someone to actually teach me how to build right. I never really got down how to setup the skill tree for exact builds and how to set gear with the tree ect..i just played n played killing stuff and adding gear. And put stuff on the tree i thought was cool. But sadly i feel tht has put a cap and limit on what i can do post game with maps. Kinda hit a wall. Im on xb1 Erymanwhoopaman of anybody wants to add me and throw some lessons and or assists. And run some maps. Hit me up. And to the creator of this video. Hats off to you sir. So everyone shares the dump tab/hideout is lava type of tips, which is great advice. But i found myself just not being that fast inside my maps, even though my build, Bane Pop, is a mapping build. So if anyone else has a similar issue... A trick I have learned for helping me hurry my way through maps is slotting a Biscos in my belt slot. I lose some dmg and life doing this, but something about that rampage timer, i just really like to not let the streaks die and trying to hit 1k kills, which causes me to hustle with a purpose across my maps. I am so much faster now, i dont pick up any loot, just murder spree, and then i circle back to pick up anything i left. Somehow 2 laps around the map is faster than 1 🤔 Thanks for the tips Yoji
can't agree more about the first tip, it sounds meanless but it is really important. In all the pevious leg I keep trying new build and waste currency. But this leg I just keep playing my only char and realize I got 50ex in my stash now
What i did, was buy elder fragments, and spam it, made over 400 exalts doing that, eyes on avg drop 30% of the time and unidendified eye costs 600c, but even though i kept identifying them and had over 10 with mana as ES, still have half of stash tab of Watchers eyes

My tip: Prepare 100 t16 maps into a one tab - second quad tab is for the loot - chisel+alch+master mission - go - profit - 20-40 maps per hour - 5-10ex per hour

Nice job and good tips. I have been a little scared of doing the Zana mods they are pricey and i figure I would wait until I'm higher lvl. I'm in T5 now, so not sure just how profitable it will be. When do you suggest we start using those mods? I do make sure to make my maps blue or yellow depending how hard i think it will be.

I also accidently farmed headhunter, bought it played a few days and sold it because as much as it was fun I figured out what build to make and I've invested all 94 exalts into that build (it's not minions or strength stacking). Last league I did ssf got a necro to lvl 94 not a single exalt. This league got to lvl 92 and found 6 or 7 exalted orbs just by trying to complete the atlas. As you I only play a few hours here and there. But I spend my $$$$$ i play trade league as if it was ssf sometimes. I enjoy finding / slamming my own gear for improvements vs investment
you posted this just as i found a The Doctor card and instantly doubled the currency i have accumulated during the course of this league. lol. To think of doing basically 4x amount of currency i have now to get a headhunter, i doubt i could do it by the end of league. to be honest i already put more time this league then any other, i always get burned out before i get to the last challenge reward. let alone play enough to comfortably earn a headhunter. but reason i'm able to play so much now is the variety of content that exists now. get tired of mapping? delve, get tired of delving? focus on syndicate, etc. etc. There is enough going on to keep me interested longer then before. but to get an HH by league end? i dunno.. probably not there yet.
This league was the first one I actually sat down, made a lootfilter and decided to run maps as fast as possible, even being a bad player and not being efficient. I ended up farming 20ex so far and completed 24 challenges. It's not much, but I've never had this much currency before.
I went broke by having 3 characters in my first league ever, so I am coming here to rewatch this video to go back to have at least 4 exalteds. And then spend them again
HH is just half of the build. You still need the 2-4 inspired learnings, 30% temp chains enchanted helmet, elemental weakness shackles, and a nice kaom's roots. But maybe you just want hh for a nice quick boost while mapping with the 20 second buffs.
I appreciate this video. But as someone who STILL can't learn the high end of the game, it's hard to drop more than a few exalts. I farm the chaos/regal recipe religiously and that's how I get most my gear... Rares are junk and don't sell well usually and I sell random div cards and I sell the rare currency I get as well.
If you are playing a somewhat decent build you make more currency by NOT doing the chaos recipe. I know it sounds weird but that time spent sorting and selling rares is usually spent better running more maps. Also do you enjoy doing the chaos recipe? :)
as you mentioned downtime i had just one question in my head: my biggest downtime is watching videos that explain the game mechanice to understand it better (over here playing since 3 weeks) i start thinking if i should too just start playing and i will get to the knowledge while playing. Or should i learn more about the game before farming for currency?

I find it hard not to have downtime, I listen to music on youtube while I play and was looking for Corelli's version of Recondita Armonia to compare to the version I love by Mario Del Monaco, because someone in comments recommended I listen to Corelli's version. I then noticed a short documentary about Rudol Nureyev, whom I'd never heard of before and watched that. I'd never heard of him and was amazed at what I'd missed out on, so I looked at comments and watched other dancers they recommended. To make a long story short, I ended up watching documentaries instead of playing POE.
Should do that once you farmed some stuff to sell. You can carry on with the rest of your till someone messages you to buy your stuff in PoE. Very effective at times when you're working at home.
This build did not nearly cost 50 ex at the time and I doubt it did cost it back then. Hegemonys is dirt cheap even as a sixlink and as mentioned the kaoms is not needed early on. And if you want to buy a 100 ex item at some point your will need to have 85 ex lying around.
1-3 hours :) you are a lucky guy, with a wife and a child i don't get that much in a week :), but when my wife goes to her mothers all bets are off :), and then maysbe i get some time to play because allways i work on our apartment XD, but there is hope for me yet. ty for a good video
can i have your loot filter progression for each stage. like when you're still farming for your build to complete what did you use and after the build is finish what filter did you use, etc
It changes from league to league and in this particular case I even started in a private league and converted to the normal trade league after 2 weeks. Afterwards my atlas was bugged out and I had to wait another 2 weeks for the fix. Luckily a headstart into the league isn't as important as people make it out to be. I might make a video about this topic at some point but in general make your filter stricter as you go and pick up enough so that you don't spend too much time buying currency.

I have a feeling that the main reason most of my builds fail is because I have issues with making everything perfect. I would rather create a whole new build for farming a specific encounter than just run that encounter using my existing character. And because nothing in PoE can truly be "perfect", I get extremely frustrated trying to theory craft a build for me to play or I give up on my current character because it can never be "perfect". The build either has too little single/group clear or would be too expensive or too fragile. I think that's something that a lot of people playing PoE needs to understand, there is no completely "perfect" build. Yeah sure, some builds are going to be powerful but the fact that they're so powerful can be a flaw to some people.
Not me though, I just started playing again. Not even playing in this league, playing the character I made when the game was released on consoles lmao.
I enjoy mine builds. Ball lightning mine to be precise. I just can't find more damage in my build and I hope I find the time to sit down and actually search for upgrades. But overall I can do all content if I take some extra time. If I stress myself to do whatever I'm doing faster I fail half the time and then it gets worse because I try to go faster and faster ending my day with zero XP gain

What do you mean drop? Am I an idiot? I thought it was only accessible via Div cards.

that is the best tip. as long as you continually play the game and have fun, you can reach any goal within a reasonable pace.

Damn, it actually worked for me. I got lucky and rop the Savior, and after that, i followed your advices. I got 80ex+ in one week. I have a job and a 3 yo to take care of, so i figured i will never have a headhunter... but here we go.

I love farming, same thing over and over is fine since I'm still new trying all sorts of different skills, but I almost gave up playing after I got finished by catarina in master safehouse. Even though someone helped me out for free, so hearing this makes me want to play it again in my own way.
It's actually good advice ... Just enjoy the game and don't rush ...that the main point of playing games you know

This is what I don´t get in most poe groups. Everyone wants a mirror to drop so they have currency but noone actually wants to play the game while playing the game is the easiest way to get wherever you wanna get. It is very nice to see you saying "Do not try to get a HH in the first place" as the first tip. People always set their goal and forget that they should just play the game and have fun and if you have fun, have a build you enjoy the currency starts stockpiling on its own. If you have a 6l you don´t need fusings anymore. Upgrades would cost 5ex? Well why would you consider an upgrade then? It is no rocket science in my mind and I am glad you say so as well and share this knowledge.

from my experience (quite new to the game), the most important thing is to find "your" build, so you can enjoy actual gameplay, whatever you like - bossing, delving, mapping, etc. if you are too focused on currency gains, you won't be playing the game anymore - you will be working for c's/ex's/mirr's. eventually, you are at risk to become a hideout warrior (those guys are rich, btw).
in the beginning, i was trying melee chars - 1st was cycloner-jugg, kinda zDPS since 3.9 - was much better in 3.8, but still worthy survivor - retiree & lab runner. then i tried some other melee stuff - more juggs, champs - nothing good. slayer-cycloner was (and remains) a nice addition to my melee experience, but something still was wrong - i wasn't sure that i have understanding - why i run maps... grinding, kinda.

MF bows!!! had no idea how it works, when i began lvling my first ranger. but i liked it! it wasn't amazingly rewarding in the beginning, but it was interesting and alluring. first ex while lvling, second ex in low-tier maps, after that i started investing. sorry but i'm filthy stdrt player, and have access to leg items, so i bought a couple... =) now i run low-tier maps (in bulk), and enjoing gameplay. MF doesn't guarantee you anything, you can get 2 ex from a 50 map-run in 2 or 3 hours, or can get zero ex in a couple of days, doesn't matter how many maps had you run =). gl hf!
Did the same thing ( but had a 3 weeks holiday), set up a pretty nice Bow build with Arborix, Voidfletcher and a 38ex Watcher's Eye on Top of it ( definitley not necessary ). Started out as Icicle Miner, played the game as i liked it ( lots of maps, Awakener, Shaper, Uber Elder etc. ) Goal was to kill Uber Elder again and was accomplished. After that I still had a lot of currency lying around but farming for HH seems a bit far stretched since I was already playing the league 3-4 weeks in. But yeah, farming a Headhunter is doable if your build is completed and you're just enjoying the game.
I did so too - for the first time ever. I tried to farm at least 1 ex per day and due to some luck I managed to earn even 6 ex per day some days. But boy was HH expensive this league.
This league i made 30 ex by "accident" (grinding my 36 challenges)
My main difference was to not restart a new build

As a father of two young children and working 50+ hours a week, thank you for this video. I kind of needed to hear this right now. I've been stuck at level 90 for a few days on my RF / Vortex / Vaal Cold Snap Trickster, and was just getting ready to reroll despite enjoying the character. Dying in red maps was starting to burn me out I suppose.
you can run T11+ for a while to grind up some currency. Family and work life can be stressful enough sometimes, no need to stress about PoE on top. Just continually improve upon your character and you'll get to do the endgame without dying. DoT tricki boy is a great build that can definitely achieve this :)

nice tip on the fortune favours, it's a good idea to add that on t14+, in my experience if you roll beyond by chance on your map double beyond is nutty and a lot of fun
I did exactly it this season and i got my first hh. Minimize gambling is the key.
The hardest for me is No 2, finding an enjoyable build. I am a relatively new player even though I have signed up for the game at 2013. In 2013, I played a Flicker build, helped by a friend of mine. I lasted less than a week and went back to WoW. Same in 2016 although it is a Trapper, lasted less than a week and went back to WoW. Last month in 2019 though, I decided to start the new league with a Necromancer (with the same friends) played it, got enough currency, trade for stuffs to get it up but I hate that I have to keep spawning my zombies, going to Ashen Field to get my Spectres (even bought Celestial skins for my Necro) etc and rerolled to Assassin Double Strike/Flicker (because I love melee). Got my Assassin high to 86-ish and stuck in mid-tier yellow maps against Metamorphs. Literally got 1 shotted and gave up. Reascend my Assassin to Trickster. Went for ED/C, felt it to be too slow for my liking and then I changed to Divine Ire. Again I reascend my Shadow to Assassin thinking Divine Ire would be better with Assassin but felt the playstyle to be really clunky, slow cast speed charge and not enough damage despite 2x VB. Right now I am playing Storm Brand Assassin and doing well so far. I guess I will just stick with this one. Didn't manage to kill Sirus with it but at least I got it down to 30%~ yesterday. I just hope I won't reroll again haha.

Another Tip: Use global 820 and play with other people to optimize your farming. You can delve more often if you do sulphite runs, capture 6 times more red beasts if you do beast runs, level up crazy fast to 100 with breachstone/beachhead/poorjoy's sharing...

Selfcurse Temp Chains Setup ist das Beste fürs Headhunter-Mapping, da dieser die Dauer der Buffs deutlich verlängert. Dann einfach einen Build aussuchen der mit Critical Strikes arbeitet. Ich spiele zB einen Ice Shot Raider mit diesem Setup. Boah, das geht wirklich ab 😎
Currently with 8 ex on my toxic rain build, already upgraded from quill rain to a +3 with chaos dmg o t multi, damn this league is the most rewarding of all
I got my HH last night as well. Like you said, I didn't really aim for it, but somehow i got all the exalts sitting there and doing nothing
However, my build doesn't really benefit from HH. Now I need to find a build that works with HH.

Biggest thing is, people forget how much currency you can amass if you're not "spending" it.
I actually just set a small goal... to buy the saviour. At this point, I was almost done with the game, I was saving up currency for a ll trapper, and got scammed for a supposedly 6l shavs, which was only a 4+2l. My fault entirely, since the one selling it wasn't even lvl 30& no ascendancy, clicked accept anyway because I was so excited.
Anyway, just left it as a learning experience and started to grind for 24 exalts starting from 100c. From a non-speed mapping build (no HH just to point it out), in 2 days I managed to grind+trade for the saviour. Was actually VERY SURPRISED myself that if you really "tried", you can farm a ton of currency. Literally just set up your trade + maps, and you in a span of a few hours, you'll be trading a bunch of chaos for exalts and vice versa. Meanwhile, you're doing this while you're also getting a lot of loot from maps. And as a bonus, I do think metamorph is one of the easiest league to farm currency in (besides blight, because I didn't play it) and easiest league to do the challenges.
Still in the end though, saviour build wasn't as good as my main one, and I really went HARD just to finish the last few challenges for the portal effect, the last one being awaken the atlas... and the last conq. just refused to taunt, usually it averages about 3-5 maps, but this guy took 15 maps. After I killed the boss, the portal spawned outside the map, hence I had to do the taunts again. Really burned me out sadly after I killed him lol.
However, league is only about halfway done, maybe I still have some time to go back and farm a HH now lol.

Ive been looking for someone to actually teach me how to build right. I never really got down how to setup the skill tree for exact builds and how to set gear with the tree ect..i just played n played killing stuff and adding gear. And put stuff on the tree i thought was cool. But sadly i feel tht has put a cap and limit on what i can do post game with maps. Kinda hit a wall. Im on xb1 Erymanwhoopaman of anybody wants to add me and throw some lessons and or assists. And run some maps. Hit me up. And to the creator of this video. Hats off to you sir. Its ppl like you who make ppl still want to game and enjoy it.
So everyone shares the dump tab/hideout is lava type of tips, which is great advice. But i found myself just not being that fast inside my maps, even though my build, Bane Pop, is a mapping build.
So if anyone else has a similar issue...
A trick I have learned for helping me hurry my way through maps is slotting a Biscos in my belt slot. I lose some dmg and life doing this, but something about that rampage timer, i just really like to not let the streaks die and trying to hit 1k kills, which causes me to hustle with a purpose across my maps. I am so much faster now, i dont pick up any loot, just murder spree, and then i circle back to pick up anything i left. Somehow 2 laps around the map is faster than 1 🤔

Also works with a Sinvicta's Mettle in your weapon swap. Swap, kill something, then swap back to your main weapon for free rampage.
can't agree more about the first tip, it sounds meanless but it is really important. In all the pevious leg I keep trying new build and waste currency. But this leg I just keep playing my only char and realize I got 50ex in my stash now
What i did, was buy elder fragments, and spam it, made over 400 exalts doing that, eyes on avg drop 30% of the time and unidendified eye costs 600c, but even though i kept identifying them and had over 10 with mana as ES, still have half of stash tab of Watchers eyes

My tip: Prepare 100 t16 maps into a one tab - second quad tab is for the loot - chisel+alch+master mission - go - profit - 20-40 maps per hour - 5-10ex per hour

Nice job and good tips. I have been a little scared of doing the Zana mods they are pricey and i figure I would wait until I'm higher lvl. I'm in T5 now, so not sure just how profitable it will be. When do you suggest we start using those mods? I do make sure to make my maps blue or yellow depending how hard i think it will be.

I also accidently farmed headhunter, bought it played a few days and sold it because as much as it was fun I figured out what build to make and I've invested all 94 exalts into that build (it's not minions or strength stacking). Last league I did ssf got a necro to lvl 94 not a single exalt. This league got to lvl 92 and found 6 or 7 exalted orbs just by trying to complete the atlas. As you I only play a few hours here and there. But I spend my $$$$$ i play trade league as if it was ssf sometimes. I enjoy finding / slamming my own gear for improvements vs investment
you posted this just as i found a The Doctor card and instantly doubled the currency i have accumulated during the course of this league. lol. To think of doing basically 4x amount of currency i have now to get a headhunter, i doubt i could do it by the end of league. to be honest i already put more time this league then any other, i always get burned out before i get to the last challenge reward. let alone play enough to comfortably earn a headhunter. but reason i'm able to play so much now is the variety of content that exists now. get tired of mapping? delve, get tired of delving? focus on syndicate, etc. etc. There is enough going on to keep me interested longer then before. but to get an HH by league end? i dunno.. probably not there yet.
This league was the first one I actually sat down, made a lootfilter and decided to run maps as fast as possible, even being a bad player and not being efficient. I ended up farming 20ex so far and completed 24 challenges. It's not much, but I've never had this much currency before.

I went broke by having 3 characters in my first league ever, so I am coming here to rewatch this video to go back to have at least 4 exalteds. And then spend them again
HH is just half of the build. You still need the 2-4 inspired learnings, 30% temp chains enchanted helmet, elemental weakness shackles, and a nice kaom's roots. But maybe you just want hh for a nice quick boost while mapping with the 20 second buffs.
I appreciate this video. But as someone who STILL can't learn the high end of the game, it's hard to drop more than a few exalts. I farm the chaos/regal recipe religiously and that's how I get most my gear... Rares are junk and don't sell well usually and I sell random div cards and I sell the rare currency I get as well.
If you are playing a somewhat decent build you make more currency by NOT doing the chaos recipe. I know it sounds weird but that time spent sorting and selling rares is usually spent better running more maps. Also do you enjoy doing the chaos recipe? :)

I find it hard not to have downtime, I listen to music on youtube while I play and was looking for Corelli's version of Recondita Armonia to compare to the version I love by Mario Del Monaco, because someone in comments recommended I listen to Corelli's version. I then noticed a short documentary about Rudol Nureyev, whom I'd never heard of before and watched that. I'd never heard of him and was amazed at what I'd missed out on, so I looked at comments and watched other dancers they recommended.
To make a long story short, I ended up watching documentaries instead of playing POE.
Should do that once you farmed some stuff to sell. You can carry on with the rest of your till someone messages you to buy your stuff in PoE. Very effective at times when you're working at home.
Just get a 50ex build, get 85ex laying around without noticing and you good bro. This dude for real?
This build did not nearly cost 50 ex at the time and I doubt it did cost it back then. Hegemonys is dirt cheap even as a sixlink and as mentioned the kaoms is not needed early on.
And if you want to buy a 100 ex item at some point your will need to have 85 ex lying around.

can i have your loot filter progression for each stage. like when you're still farming for your build to complete what did you use and after the build is finish what filter did you use, etc
It changes from league to league and in this particular case I even started in a private league and converted to the normal trade league after 2 weeks. Afterwards my atlas was bugged out and I had to wait another 2 weeks for the fix. Luckily a headstart into the league isn't as important as people make it out to be.
I might make a video about this topic at some point but in general make your filter stricter as you go and pick up enough so that you don't spend too much time buying currency.

I have a feeling that the main reason most of my builds fail is because I have issues with making everything perfect. I would rather create a whole new build for farming a specific encounter than just run that encounter using my existing character.
And because nothing in PoE can truly be "perfect", I get extremely frustrated trying to theory craft a build for me to play or I give up on my current character because it can never be "perfect". The build either has too little single/group clear or would be too expensive or too fragile.
I think that's something that a lot of people playing PoE needs to understand, there is no completely "perfect" build. Yeah sure, some builds are going to be powerful but the fact that they're so powerful can be a flaw to some people.

Not me though, I just started playing again. Not even playing in this league, playing the character I made when the game was released on consoles lmao.
I enjoy mine builds. Ball lightning mine to be precise. I just can't find more damage in my build and I hope I find the time to sit down and actually search for upgrades. But overall I can do all content if I take some extra time. If I stress myself to do whatever I'm doing faster I fail half the time and then it gets worse because I try to go faster and faster ending my day with zero XP gain
What build is he using? it looks really fun
