Very encouraging to hear from such a humble and faithful servant who has lived with exemplary consistency and unwavering faith in the Truth of God’s Word. Thanks to QC for hosting this Q&A.
Actually, the Bible does not tell anything about 'the immortality of the souls'. As he said earlieyer in the interview; 'Platonism is the biggest threat to Christian thruth', he is falling right into that trap.. Where in the bible it says that 'the soul survives the dead of the physical body'? Anyone? So if the soul survives death, what about animal souls? So Judaïsm believes the 'immortality of the soul', but the question is whether the Bible teaches this..! That the souls 'are being preserved', doesn't mean they are alive.. He himself admits that there were different views on this, and once the thruth stays not automatically with the majority..?! And no, Paul is in 2 Cor. 5 not at all 'comtemplating about the intermediate state', other than not wanting to be dead in between. 'God is a sort of unembodied soul', this is pure heresy, God is Spirit(ual), humans (and animals) are soul(ish), there are countless bible passages to support this, what he says about this is utter nonsense..!!
