I came to love your content BECAUSE it was human and not just robotic woodworking. You and your partner are making the perfect content in my opinion. Thank you both.
Ahhhh, thank you so much for that, Aaron! It really helps to hear this from the community because it really fortifies that idea, concept, and gut feeling we have. Thank YOU for taking the time to comment and let us know :-)
Clara, you channel is perfect like it is. If I want to watch a "just woodworking channel" I have a lot of channels to choose between. As a woodworker I would say, a life without woodworking is maybe possible, but it makes no sense. But life is not only work. With colleagues we talk also about things of our life. So why not here? I love to see your pictures. You and Don, you are a great team.
Your channel is just great! I look at as I’m (virtually) working on a job with you and we’re talking work then just talking about life, it’s a natural flow the way you do things. In the end, it’s the being genuine and relatable to people that I believe will continue your success. Life’s a journey, thanks for sharing yours!!
Cheers to you, and be yourself. Those that don't like it, don't matter. Those that matter, will support you! As an older women still passionate about wood working (well, and DIY for my home - and friends), I loved that you still want to rock it as a Grandma! No tongue twisters from me - sorry.
Hahaha, no worries about the tongue twister! What I love is that you shared your comment with me - Thank you for that! I’ll keep working hard at it and I hope people will appreciate me and what I do for what they are - even many years down the road :-)
Clara, I was drawn to your channel because of you and how you and your partner deliver the content (all of it not just woodworking). Please continue being you and the rest will fall in place. You are honest and sincere in your videos. That’s what I appreciate. You don’t have the most expensive red rulers hanging out for everyone to see (that annoys me by the way) and you control what and how you produce and put out your videos. Keep being you young lady.
Wow! Thank you so much for that, Steve! I really appreciate that you can sense that and I’m definitely not the kind of person to flex a bunch of expensive stuff, lol. We’ve been able to recenter ourselves again and it feels really good to be able to free ourselves from those shackles and focus on being authentic again :-). Appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Clara thank you for putting forth the hard work that it takes to create content, i truly appreciate it. I can't come close to understand what it takes to not only create your art but also the videography you have to put together for us the viewers. Thank You for being Real with us...
Ahhhh, and thank YOU @espnmk for appreciating it! We put so much work and effort into creating everything and it’s really great to hear that it resonates with people! Even now, there’s still so much for us to learn and improve but it’s because of this connection that we hear about that we keep pushing on :-) Thank you so much! 🙌🙌
Don’t overthink, do what you have passion around. I enjoy your content because you are hard working, positive, passionate about what you do and most importantly are very genuine. I look forward to your future content. Go Clara!
The best RUclipsrs make it about sharing themselves, not just their product or profession. Keep it up. Tongue twisters (in Japanese though): "tonari no kyaku wa yoku kaki ku kyaku da" & "basu gasu bakuhatsu (3 times fast)" & "tonari no takegaki take tatekaketa, mukou no takegaki take tatekaketa"
A woodworker doesnt do woodworking 24-7, I like how your channel has some sort of balance. If I want to watch a woodworking video of some specific technique to learn, I search for one specifically. Your content shows stuff that I might not be looking for specifically but is very useful. I watch your content because it's entertaining and features something I am intrested in--woodworking. It's a refreshing break from other woodworking channels that I follow, so you be you!
Ahhh, thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let me know that! It helps a lot to hear this from the community as I’d pushed forward on this with my partner on instinct and what felt true to us. Thank you for that :-)
Hello Clara, im still enjoying every video and short that you post. Im wishing you and all your family and friends are happy and prosperous 2024. Oh, and here is your tounge twister, how much wood could a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood!! Have a wonderful day. Keith
I always amaze you.. Doing wood works... Because I'm in construction industry good job for a girl have talent like you❤❤❤❤❤more power and always take care😊
I'd be interested to see way more in your "process" than woodworking. Plenty of instructions and guides and other stuff out there for folks that are 1000% found that to be their calling. I have this idea (I'm sure I'm not the only one) that builders are all "artists" more in line with the "creation" nature of the work and something has to inspire it. First channel I came across that went beyond the technical part of the work and shared some of the same thoughts and experiences you've shared. Though, I do also like the shorts you've shared of the products you've used too. It feels a bit more like, they feel in action rather than a technical review, maybe one of many niches you've stumbled on 🤷♂
Thank you so much for that! I do wanna give more insight for sure and implementing that into the build videos is something we’re gonna be trying to get better at too :-). We’ll keep pushing on and get better at being us!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let me know :-) I’m honored and humbled by your compliment and those pretzels are indeed hard to find 🤣🤣
Love your content, Clara. Your content reminds me of the human-centric past of old youtube when it was about taking realistic and insightful glimpses into people's lives :)
Thank you so much for commenting and letting me know! I honestly don’t know how else to be at this point, lol. I’m not calculative or strategic at all 🤣🤣
I think Making videos and Travel vlogging are two genres that people don't want to merge. And whether you choose to combine them or separate them, I hope you have fun doing what you like to do
Thank you so much for that! I completely agree that figuring out what works for my soul and makes me happy to create is what is key. I hope so too and I’ll be working at it :-) Thanks again for commenting!
@@ClarasWoodshopdon’t listen to that advice, post everything, if it ties to your channel it can be expensed, am I right??? I’m starting my channel tomorrow, you got my sub, looking forward to all your random a$$ content, write all that ish off 🤑
Here's one that is more impossible than a no-jig/hand cut/perfect fitting dove tails: Say (out loud) "Toy Boats Or Troy Boats" five times as fast as you can. No can do! I've yet to meet anyone who could pull it off. EDIT: Hmmm, I see someone posted a simliar one, although mine is harder, methinks. So bonus content: Betty Botter bought some butter. "But," she said, "the butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter-- that would make my batter better. Would Betty Botter's bitter batter taste better? no because the better butter Betty bought was peanut butter"
One of the wonderful aspects of your channel is the randomness of it! Niche down? why does that bring you happiness? I would bet not. So, my thought about all of this is you're not a "wood worker" (before the keyboard worriers go crazy read on) Personally I would say you're a Artist that is VERY good at taking a vision and expressing it in many mediums, and yes Wood is one of those mediums. So don't pigeonhole yourself. Allow your dreams to flourish and watch them grow! So here is a challenge, not a tongue twister, rather a simple challenge with pencil and sketch pad, 기본 민화에서 호랑이 그리기 호랑이가 당신의 비전을 표현하도록 허용
@@ClarasWoodshop its a challenge to draw the Tiger in the exaggerated style of Minwha painting, for me it's a time to allow myself to just express that art form, and not worry about the critics that know nothing of this style.
Lesson #1 of business is don't listen to friends/family about your business. They have no idea what it's like, unless they also happen to do the exact same thing as you. Hell, I would question whether other youtubers/influencers are worth listening to, since the field is so new and changes so rapidly... what worked for a youtuber even 5 years ago is irrelevant now because of the algorithm/etc. One thing that's obvious, though, is that if you're not consistent (in business in general, but in social media especially) then you're not going to succeed, whatever success looks like to you. If you can't post new videos about a niche consistently, that's not gonna work. Also, even if you wanted to, how do you choose a niche? Do you do just anything woodworking related? Tutorials on specific techniques? "top 10 gadgets you need to waste your money on if you want to be a real wood worker" type videos? Handtools? The business side of things? Focusing a specific tool? Design? Interviews with people? Until you try them you won't know.
Absolutely agree and all valid questions - ultimately, I’m tackling it by chasing what I personally find curious and interesting and also focusing on community as much as I can. I’m banking on those interactions and explorations to be my inspiration for anything video related :-)
How much wood would a wood worker work if a wood worker could work wood? A wood worker would work as much as a wood worker should work if a wood worker could work wood.. because they’re human. And do other stuff ❤✌🏼

Worcestershire sauce 😅 (it’s not THAT hard to pronounce when you throw out most of the vowels)
