The Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble is a group of musicians playing old string instruments created by the masters of the Cremona school. The ensemble, which arose on the initiative of the artistic director of the Mariinsky Theater Valery Gergiev, included the leading soloists of the theater's symphony orchestra. Popular and beloved classical pieces in their performance sound in a special way, thanks to the amazing timbres of instruments by Amati, Stradivari, Guarneri, Guadanini and Gofriller.
