honestly I wanted him just for love of draconic like characters but. I literally got him and black swan (who I needed for kafka) in 40 pulls and i am extremely happy. can definitelly save up for sparkle there
This man has carried my account almost as hard as my Fu Xuan the true goat. Unfortunately they decided to run him in the same patch as his best support so it’s going to be a tough call. If you have no interest in Black Swan or JingYuan and trying to decide between IL and Sparkle then it’s a question you have to answer yourself because it’s kind of tough. DHIL is very strong and even without Sparkle is still an S tier DPS but isn’t quite S+. With the introduction of Ratio we now have a solid IMG dps that isn’t far behind DHIL in MoC clears but I do find DHIL to be better for most other content in the game as most content is either aoe or blast and very few things are super single target centric. That said Ratio is still plenty good for most content. So if you are satisfied with Ratio as your IMG dps then skipping DHIL is ok even though I’d say DHIL is a bit more comfortable and just slightly more powerful. Sparkle might not be Ruan Mei levels of universal but she will be bronya for teams that couldn’t use bronya before. DHIL because too much SP consumption, same with QQ, Ratio/JingYuan because her buffs lasts even after their turn has ended. Seele as we have a true mono quantum team now and SP consumption help. There’s a lot of units that will like and perform better with sparkle than their current setup but she is not a must have of course as some of these units still function fine but, sparkle will simply take them to the next level. In an ideal world you would pull DHIL and then sparkle next but we can’t all do that so make a decision based on what your account needs more.

If u need a DPS go for Lunae, don't even think about getting Jing Yuan re-run. Since I have no Kafka but have Lunae and his sign lc because I smash him, I'm still pulling for Sparkle.
Could also go for Jingliu. She might rerun in 2.1 or 2.2, since I doubt they’ll run Luocha or Fu Xuan in the same patch as Aventurine, who has been officially confirmed as a Preservation
Jing Yuan is a good unit why are you giving bad advice? If you enjoy his personality/playstyle and also need a dps get him he works with f2p supports and has been steamrolling content since release. No need to be forced to pull meta units in an already easy game.
Sparkle is going to be a huge boost for JingYuan as well. I wouldn’t recommend him over IL but to tell people don’t even think about getting him tells me you listened to CC’s call him mid and stick with it even after all of his buffs with new characters.
His LC gives him the much needed crit rate and enable him to do 4 turn ult without Tingyun / other external energy. However you can use the f2p 5 stars destruction light cone instead and go for JL + her LC.

my first 5* is DHIL (started in 1.3), i gotta say: he is a good character, but as said in video REALLY team dependent, because i dont have luocha my team comp is not that easy to get. And its a huge problem in moc. I didnt get jungliu so i dont have ice coverage, also a wind and lightning. And even if i could get that 20 cycles with wrong elements with a good team - it is taken by lunae. He just cant work without some characters so i just cant have them in second half. i would say if you already have quite a lot of units, and plan on getting sparkle you could get him, but otherwise just build ratio, sometimes i use him more than dh and he doesent underperfrorm whatspever
i just realised. Not that related to topic, but could you possibly make a team tune where you skill sparkle advancing action just shy of next, then bronya skill, ult, all buffs etc. and just nuke the fuck of anything?
You could, but it wouldn't be an optimal. Most likely it will be more effective to do Hanabi skill, dps, Bronya skill, dps. Like in rotation, you know?

i would say going for a new character, especially a buffer, is usually better than going for eidolons so if you want sparkle you should get her. she will pair well with lunae.
If you have an E0S0 DHIL, then go for sparkle+save or pull for his S1+sparkle. But if you have an E1S1 DHIL, you can either go for his E2+save or E2+sparkle (thought it's gonna be harder unless you win all the 50/50). Honestly if you're looking for longevity, supports are always more valuable than dps, but just pull for the characters that you like though

If you have E1 Bronya and Ruan Mei, definitely would go for imbibitor because they clear MoC easily. If you need to complete your DoT team, definitely go for black swan. Especially if you have other E6 DoTs

Unless you don't have HuoHuo, E6 Yukong will be better as her E6 enables a SP-Neutral playstyle. But if you have HuoHuo, use E6 Tingyun with team like this Dan IL - Tingyun - Anyone you want to put (but i would recommend a SP-Positive unit like Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Pela, and etc) - HuoHuo. That team enables EBA3-Ult-EBA3-Ult-EBA3 rotation if you know how to manage your energy.

75% chance to get the sig cone or 50% chance for sparkles. Just know that sparkles will rerun sooner than imbibitor
E2 DHIL is futureproof(also can 0 cycle MoC) even without bronya/sparkle. Better go for LC since sparkle is not priority in your cases
