My dad was in the Army during Ronald Reagan. My dad got to meet Reagan in 1985 when the Fort Campbell soldiers died in the helicopter crash. I was in 6th grade then. It was the Arrow Air Flight 1285R. They were coming back from Cairo Egypt. All passengers died. Even some of my classmates parents was on board. My dad actually got lucky. He was supposed to have gone, but a friend of his wanted to go so he gave up his seat.

I turned 18 two months too late to vote in the November '84 election, but I proudly served Reagan in the Navy as my Commander-in-chief from '85 to '89. Our morale was through the roof and we were respected again under his leadership. It was the best time of my life.
Great interview. I got to meet President Regan when I worked on the NYSE. While shaking his hand he took the time to speak with me and ask about my family. Like Dennis said I felt like it was my dad. Just pure humility and kindness.

I turned 18 in 1979, and voted in my first presidential election in 1980. I voted for Ronald Reagan and he never gave me cause to regret that vote. He was a wonderful man.

I have old family members who are both republicans and democrats but they all agree that the 80s were the best decade for Americans. They all speak highly of Reagan.
The times were good however, the cars went downhill.
The American muscle cars “lost their testosterone.” If you know what I mean.
I loved President Reagan and his wife Nancy. Living in the ghetto, drugs use was very prevalent. I didn't have friends or family to guide me but Nancy Reagan said "say no to drugs." The Lord made her my guide.
That's a special memory to have. Prayer is going up for you now, too. 🎉

Reagan really turned the country around at a time when there wasn't a Fox News. There weren't any conservative radio stations. He had to go around the media and straight to the people. Liberals have been trying to rewrite the history of the 80's ever since. I hope this movie is accurate and helps to set the record straight.
When Reagan ran for his first term my Wife was totally against him. By the end of his second Term my Wife wanted to make him " President for Life" ,I had to explain that "Dictators are President for Life " which is why we have Term Limits .We both Pray for Trump and Israel daily and for the outcome of the Election. Trump / Vance 2024.
Reagan is one of the reasons why I would never vote for TRUMP.

Back in late 70s- early 80s the interest rate was 18% and when I bought our house in 1981 the interest went down to 10% and we got a great deal we thought even tho that is high compared to today. I want Trump and God to fix this mess. Jesus is the way the truth and the life.
Mine, in 83 was 17%.
We bought ours at 14% under Carter, refi at 5% after Reagan won.
I normally don't leave comments, but today I am. I think the show is great. On bad times, my mother passed away a couple weeks ago. I don't wish that on my worst enemy. It is getting better, but can't remember that I smiled since. Watching your show made me smile and gave me strength. Keep up the good work. Thank you, and God bless.

Dennis Quaid is a great actor. When I lived in New Orleans I’d arranged for “The Big Easy” (starring Dennis Quaid) to be filmed in my building. The set directors made the downstairs look like Tipitina‘s night club. Chef Paul Prudhomme made a Debut in the film also.
He's a great actor, but he is also very likable. Whether it is on the screen or in an interview you just like him.
Good Man I think. We need more thoughtful Actors that live in reality and have a little common sense. This interview is pretty great. We will see what backlash he gets in Hollywood now. Pretty brave stance doing the movie and speaking the honest open way he does.

He has so many great movies but it killed me to see him being a mean dad in I Can Only Imagine.

I watched Kim clement and he talked about soul ties. Demons have a soul ties as Christians have a soul tie. We hang out with people who have this to who where we hang out or with. Reagan was the first president I voted for. Hubby and I bought our first mobile home to put on our own land in 1988. We financed at Carter’s 11% interest at the time.

My first movie of Dennis Quaid was “CaveMan”. (1981) I’m just happy his a brother in Lord.
The first 50 episodes of this podcast were the best. Phil talking and the break in commercial were minimum. Now Phil barely talks and is overloaded with break-in commercials that last longer. Don't believe me go back and listen. Truth

I'm 56 I can't believe how much things have changed, do you remember the Bronx?
people didn't "hate" Reagan or "love" Reagan during the time he was in the office of POTUS. I was alive and very aware politically of what was going on then. He had been a successful governor of Ca. & knew how to speak eloquently & yet folksy at the same time. He was expedient and common sense thinker. Plus, we can't discount his career as an actor helped him play the role easier and better than most. Mainly, his reputation as a truly great president gained traction during the Clinton and GHWB presidencies by comparison. The legend grew from there.

I found an old Ronald Reagan 331/2 record
Maybe with the exception of Johnson, I think (a female in my 60’s) we as a nation seem to feel more comfortable and safe with presidents that wear a cowboy hat. They seem more down to earth, more like a grandparent or family member. I know I felt that way with Reagan, as well as, George W. Bush. Someone you could be yourself with at a barbecue, rather than someone that can’t relate and is snobby.
I wish they be quite and let Dennis talk. Crazy they must love listening to theirselves talk
