Steve is actually a homeless dude here in mtl. I used to see him begging at Vendome metro every so often on my commute to school. It's been years, so no idea where he's at now.
Wanna know why? Because back then RUclips was just a place to share viral videos, poorly made vlogs(real vlogs), parody music videos etc. Us (the internet transitional youth) were the right audience for such a growing platform such as youtube. Reaching this level of notoriety obviusly youtube has actracted media,businnes and other big corporation which now manipolate the trending and whats should and what not be viewed. RUclipsrs now needs to make bucks to survive hence clickbaits, kid oriented videos, politically correct content ecc. Stuff like these songs mocking society, media, jokes and other content potentially offending a large part of the audience is not tollerated anymore and thus making these oldschool kind of content be obsolete. I also miss the old youtube but things are this way now. This platform is the next television and there will be the time another youtube will be created to have another "for people by people" video sharing community.
