@@RC0926 TBF that's really good for phone support. Jon is from Montreal, and 16 years ago the min wage was $8.50/hr. Welcome to 2024, where minimum wage in Quebec is now $15.25 and phone support jobs (such as at videotron or bell) pay around $17 per hour. Considering rent in Montreal has more than doubled in that time, just to keep up to cost of living he'd have to be making ~21 an hour today to be the same Jon as he was 16 years ago. These raises in minimum wage continue to destroy the economy, along with many other problems.

When I first listened to this song I was in high school and it made me laugh. Now I grew up, and it kinda makes me sad because I'm becoming an everyday normal guy too.
No joke, this is the realest rap song I’ve ever heard. Also, the life of the everyday normal guy is actually the best life if you think about it. Calm, peaceful, not much stress on a regular day. But being somebody, having fame and fortune, often brings a lot of stress with it to the point where you start wondering if it was worth it at all.

@@dirtyasianmafia2310 You too.
I see you're a man of culture as well
RUclips knew I wasn't prepared to watch this when I was 12 years old. They knew I would be once I was 24. Thanks for the recommendation RUclips.
Thank you, RUclips, for reminding me of this gem.
Uploaded in my Freshman year of High School. Was only 14 years old and this video was hyped at my school. Now 28 years old and starting to get that, “I’m getting old” mindset especially with living life and it’s stressors. This song always takes me back to the days of when there was not a care in my life other than going to school and hanging out with friends. Long story short, love your songs Jon and they always keep me listening here or on Spotify!
Damn I'm 39 next month I wish I could be in my late 20s again lol I had my "quarterly life crisis" at 25 and thought shit was over LMAO went skydiving and bought a camaro
You are still fucking young. Actually, the 28-35 were years I fondly remember as the ones with the most success with the ladies. Now at 44, I start to look like Steve. Cheers!
@@juliogonzo2718 hey man! Ahahaha, I guess we all sometimes take things for granted! I appreciate it though and now 30 with my 2nd kid and just knowing life has so much to offer! That’s hilarious about the quarter life crisis though! Great way to go all out though with a sweet whip!
@@franciscogerardohernandezR1979 true that man! Now 30 and honestly doesn’t feel very different from 28 lol. Other than the “30’s stigma” I’d say nothing’s changed other than I got a second kid now lol. I gotta say though, you are right! Later 20’s and now early 30’s are treating me well and happily married to my wife. Ahaha, So I can’t relate with the success in ladies per se but I can relate to the feeling of being mature and all! Shoot, MY BOU STEVE doesn’t look a day over 33! Appreciate it brother and hope life is treating you well!
coooool comment :) greets from Poland.
RUclips in 2020:
Hey wanna watch a 12 year old video?
same here. ah the memories. I was shocked to see the number "12" in first place.
Completely forgot about this gem, thanks youtube!
Funny and original
So this is why I've ended up here.
Well of course you do!
" If ya got a pet cat put your hands up. " For some reason every now and then this lyric just pops in my head. Crazy. Thanks for the content man. This shit was surely from the golden age of the internet.
He is just a chill dude.
This song used to make me laugh when I was a kid and now as an adult it hurts😂 Such an accurate song for my life
My life now. 😂 It ain’t so bad honestly. I’m glad I have peace.
This is actually the first rap song i can identify myself with lol
Lmao dude was making $12 an hour in 2007, he was doing pretty well.
It's not bad, but still have to factor in insurance. If a place does not have insurance, medical bills can get outrageous.
@@MegaJesseman Hence his bad back
He's Canadian, minimum wage in 2007 was, like, 10.50
As opposed to the USA where I’m from, minimum just reached $12 in my state a couple years ago.
Alex Lundrigan you think that was pretty good for 10 years ago you lost your got damn mind.
It’s great. The dude can legitimately rap and he used his talent to parody rap music. Will always love this dude.
$600 in the bank? In 2008? That's like $850 in 2023! Dude had it together.
600 in 2008 is 1330 today.
@sheek3222 wow inflation really went up that much in 4 months
@@Foodyquest You said 15 years.

@@Foodyquestthat’s what happens when democrats rule the earth for 16 years straight , things break and the economy goes to the shitter 😂
"I can't afford a car I use public transportation, I dont mind, I read 'til I reach my destination, sometimes a newspaper, somestimes a book, the amount of money I save is off the hook!" - love that line ^^
The money I save this shit is off the hook.
You forgot *"this shit is"*
"And I'm not very good with the women - I'm a pretty shy person, and I'm average looking" - gets me every time lol
