I KNOW OMG. My cat’s name is Niklaus, and I haven’t seen him in a few months cause he’s staying with our grandma for a little. Hearing that raised my stress levels, i miss him so freaking badly 😭

@@Tw0Dots Do you need to read that one more time and reevaluate your comment? Obviously Jay is a dog person, but for this game SPECIFICALLY he is on the "cats side" because he is playing as a cat. So it's obvious why he is on the cats side and not slandering them. Being on a cats side is obviously different from being a cat PERSON. Example, just because I defend one thing, does that automatically make me the spokes person for that thing? No.

YES ITS DEPRESSING, the fact that they cant tell you anything like loose motions, sickness, pain, burning sensation or any other problems and they live through the pain until its major and they then cry out
They can't tell you, that's true but you can understand when they are in pain, as long ad you study their normal behaviour vs their sick behaviour, plus with regular vet check ups, to be sure everything it's okay since cats are very good at hiding when they are in pain🌟
@@YumeDreamfields I have one cat that I wasn't expecting to die the next day. I'm not sure what's his problem and we can't go to the vet cause it's very far. We live in province and the nearest vet would be in the city. He doesn't cry but still alive when I saw him just laying there with cloudy eyes, since I can't do anything much I just stayed there until he isn't breathing anymore. I didn't see him limp or weak the day before and he was still quite young, 3-5 years. Maybe he ate something outside and got poisoned that morning. He was our last cat for more than 5 years now, cause my mom don't like them. My neighbors cat gave birth though and I'm hoping my mom would let me adopt one this time.
@@kristinegangman7756 rip kitty, also please find a nearby shelter or home doctor who has idea about such things, sometimes these people know what to do and have the necessary medicines, I too heard that a sheltered kitten we gave shelter to die and I was in pain

Jay, you’re actually right about both of the reasons why cat’s scratch things- they scratch to sharpen their claws, but it also helps them destress and they mark their territory :) the more you know!

8:00 - As one who has lived with cats for over 30 years, I can confirm that a cat with even a moderately fit body and no real motivation other than "I feel like sitting on this high-up thing" can _absolutely_ vault their happy asses up that high on a whim (even if there's a nearby counter or chair they could use to make it easier lol).
So a Stray who is undoubtedly more active than a housecat would ever be _and_ motivated by a desire to get as far away from some nasty, polluted stank-water as possible? Yeah, they're getting even more height out of it, even _with_ a persistent leg injury hindering them a bit!
Edit: I also love that Jay took one look at the paint cans and IMMEDIATELY entered Catt-Brain Mode and started knocking every last one off the ledge. Beautiful.

Cats are experts at hiding weakness- it can be really tough to notice when they're sick, too. Kinda makes me wonder if the pain in the procatonists leg from the fall ever went away. :(

Also marking territory both visually and with the glands in their paws. Also it does help them feel better cause it’s basically saying “okay this is mine. This is my spot. My space. My safe space”

Though one of my most searched things is “kubz scouts horror game” when I was younger I’d watch people play games like this and it always made me feel so relaxed. After everything that’s happened within the past few years I’ve found little to smile about. This honestly made me really happy

Most people just love animals in general.
Most of the time when person thinks one pet is better than another its because they were exposed and understood them more, but a bird, rat, pig, horse, lizard, tarantula doesn't matter, if they get to know them then you'll empathize and get attached.
If you are not an animal person in general and don't empathize with them then yeah I could get it.

i regret how i used to hate cats just because other ppl didn't like them until I interacted with one in person and they are literally the most random, funny and cutest things!!! Now that I have a dog and cat, I realised that cats are easier to take care of lol my dog is so demanding but love them both
i just liked dogs more because my mom liked dogs more, but i slowly started to actually want a cat. i’ve only interacted with one cat in my life, but they’re really cute.

Jay you need to check out more of the slums. There's a market,cool little cut scenes,nice side quest,you can get different reactions if you meow at different robots. You even missed a memory in the bar with the robot that wears a fancy work outfit You should really explore more. Zurks also hate the light(I think) and you can squish them with the barrels

I heard this game is from the creators of 60 seconds. They took a whole new approach in developing this so I'm looking forward to playing this game even though I'm a dog lover

I have two cats myself, and seeing Jay playing as one and being so invested in scratching carpets and stuff is so cute😭 and I can see my cats in that one so much, my cats love water and showers and they will jump from anything to anywhere, and hearing those meows when the cat fell was just heartbreaking🫶

I know you probably won't read this, but here's a little information about cats!
Cats actually can jump up to 2 meters and something, cats scratch things to get their nails sharp for eventual hunts and fights.
Also looking from the cats in-game they were probably siblings considering they looked very similar, or maybe just strays that so happened to meet each other lol
Anyway I'm hoping you're gonna continue this game!

The main cat is actully based off of the co-founder's cat. He was a stray in france. They adopted him and named him Murtaugh
He must also have been a fan of the Lethal Weapon movies.
Jay playing a game with cats is something I would never imagine because Jay doesn't take a liking to cats so im happy he is playing stray
I have to say, the animations in this game are so smooth, and the realism of a cats actual tactics of reflex and normal cat habits are fabulous

Every orange tabby is called pumpkin, for the setting of the game we can get more creative! The cat in the game was based on a real stray cat the Head developper adopted named "Murtaugh" so I think it'd fit better!

The way Jay's voice is layered for effect whenever anyone robotic is speaking is an A+ effect. The accent/attitude for Seamus in his voice acting is the cherry on top.

as someone who's grown up around cats and jay for the majority of their life, seeing jay react to cat mannerisms and behaviour is so funny.
For example, jay underestimating how high a cat can jump.
Also how cats scratch things to sharpen/clean their claws, or to mark their scents I think they also may do it to express stress? Someone fact-check me on that.
And also when the protagonist knocked over those paint cans, knocking items off flat surfaces is a classic cat thing.

Cats scratching random "scratchable" objects have two meanings, one because they sharpen their claws and the other one because of destressing.
