I work in IT and I love cars, everything Jeff shows us in the videos is basically my biggest dream. I don't have much at the moment and I'll probably never get close to that level, but I must say that this is probably the most motivating and influential channel I've ever come across in my life. Jeff please never stop posting, you are simply amazing.
I couldn't agree with you more. This has become one of my favorite channels: just a smart guy who is sharing the love of his hobbies with us. It's like when you become friends with your neighbors and they give you a tour of their basement, except rather than an old band saw and pool table, this guy has a new product development labratory and data center.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this channel. I just went through your thread on the home and shop build. You remind me of a friend of mine, he's also a brilliant technologist with a bunch of home automation but this is really next level. Keep the content coming!
taking notes when i build my house, pretty awesome and exciting (id like to see more of ur server room, like, what systems did u build and what kind of services ur using for ur different projects) ty keep posting I'm in love with ur content !! :D
I had same Eaton panels on the wall and was able to find the same panels in white on eBay and swap the covers - perfectly blends in with white garage walls and no old stickers
Always interesting seeing other people's benches, you can really tell a lot about the sort of stuff people focus on and enjoy from the equipment and layout. Also that was quite the tease of the Roscoe PCB! Gotta love the vibe of modern homebrew PCBs, the nice modern multi-layer PCB with old straight auto-routing with the mix of old and new packages greatly confuses the part of my brain that instantly wants to datecode PCBs. Also that's a clean debug probing solution to.
I noticed a car so is this in a garage and do you have air conditioning for it? Thanks for the impressive lab showing. Would have loved to see the computer side too you teased us with a split second view lol.
@@jeffsponaugle6339 I was lucky enough to work with two of the owners for Motec back in the late 90's until the end of 2010, on their race cars and development of new product and software. Its come a long way now.
I love seeing other people's electronic workbench setups. Thank you for sharing yours! Nice Mantis!

Oh that is a good idea!
Thanks for taking the time to show your awesome lab! New subscriber ✌🏻
Very impressive. Thank you for posting the video.
Having workbenches two deep so one can be dedicated to a workspace and the other for your lab equipment is genius.
simple starter setup

I noticed the MoTec sticker on the shelving. Fitted to one of your cars or have you worked with them?
Indeed, I have a Motec for the R35 GTR, and I have used a few others on previous cars. Fantastic ECU!

Can already tell it’s a real lab from the background. None of this “home lab” IT rack stuff.
