    Check to make sure the washing machine water discharge is plumbed & working correctly! Lesson learned, 1st time I washed clothes, my basement flooded!!

    Bad advice on saying not to have to run a full cycle on the washing machine. You absolutely should! Do not just turn it on and off. By running a full cycle, water could end up leaking from the bottom during the cycle

    Thank you for your videos, Jackie.
    I already watched one of your other ones ("Final Walkthrough Before Closing | When Things Go Wrong"), and now this one also.
    The BEST thing about your videos is that you instruct the viewer what to do IF/WHEN something goes w-r-o-n-g... VERY HELPFUL!! (anyone can flush a toilet, flip an electrical switch, or turn on a stove burner... but when things go wrong it is important to know the next step in order to resolve the situation).
    Continued success to you, Jackie!

    Thank you for this insightful video. Moving to a new house in December. Will watch this video again as a refresher soon as the walkthrough is scheduled.

    Just an FYI. We are getting a home that has no water softener, but I don't know if the home has hard or soft water. So this is a good time to get a water sample to see if you need to plan on getting a water softener installed in the near future.

    Great insights! I wonder what buyer can do if the seller doesn’t do all the repairs you found in the final walkthrough. And the buyer pass all the contingencies at this point

      At that point you would negotiate concessions at the closing table

    How do you deal with a realtor (agent and broker) who insist that you sign closing documents before final walk through of house a week before closing?

    • @JackieBaker
      @JackieBaker  3 года назад +3

      Not sure where you live but here in New Jersey attorneys handle the closings. In your case I definitely wouldn’t sign anything until you have done your walkthrough.

    What if the shower doors are missing?

    • @JackieBaker
      @JackieBaker  3 года назад +2

      If they were there at the time of inspection but they are missing at the final walkthrough, then it needs to be brought up at the closing table. Either money can be held in escrow or the seller can give a credit back to the buyer.
