Thanks - gave me (50 year old woman) the confidence to try on my own. What the dealership would have charged big time for, only cost me $100 in Ebay purchases (bought same radio as a refurb). But that one cable was a bitch to disconnect.
good luck i spent 2 days with my brothers captive trying to add a sub and new speakers. 2 wiring kits "that claim they fit" doesn't. I'm not sure if the one in this video will work.
Yea we tried a rca adapter to keep factory radio since he is only 17 and working min wage. But that didn’t work . Got a double din and the 2 harness I got a local store said it would work but didn’t will be trying the one in this link . I’ll be back 😂
Hello, the steering wheel controls still working?, volume, mute, station change? Thanks. I didn’t change the radio on my captiva because I was told that I had to install a "kit to fool the computer" to recognize the new radio software, is that true?
naw never heard of that one and yes the steering wheel controls still work. the harness that i listed in the description retains the controls and is for amplified and non amplified systems
I know this is an older video but I have a 2013 Captiva with an aftermarket stereo system. The data line is not plugged in to it. There’s an LC-GMRC-LAN-01 interface box with a similar port to the data line, but they won’t fit… Any ideas how to connect the data line? How were you able to?
I just got a 2013 Captiva and the radio doesn't work, this seems to be a common problem. do you know if the radio replacement will solve this. I had planned on changing the radio anyway but don't want to do all that work and have it be for nothing, Thanks and great video
The problem with your Captiva, and for thousands of other Captiva owners, is the battery harness. It goes bad and then everything from Stabilitrak, car shutting down, etc. all begin to freak out. Your radio would be fine if you would replace the entire battery harness (Positive cable, negative cable, and four (I think) different mount points [alternator, engine block, chassis, & somethin' else]
@@jorgequito5009 aahh, gracias por la inf. yo pregunto esto xk en mi captiva se prenden de noche ,pero tambien de dia,y no se como arreglar eso.un saludo.gracias

@@w1llyw1llz oh I'm just gonna be replacing the radio itself. Speakers and such are all good. Just want Bluetooth, lol

Can u show a video wiring up this vehicle ? I’m having a hard time
Bro there is a bracket for double din to make the screen move up and down I have a captiva
this would also be good for the 2008 and 2009 Saturn Vue

I just want to know what that the wiring connection you used. I just want to make sure I'm doing it right I got the same ones you used in your video
What size is your radio? I want to know what size fits best
This was a 6.2 inch that and a 6.8 will be perfect you can do a 7in as well but i would suggest doing a 7inch motorized screen though.
@@jptheinstallguy what kind was that? And what does replacing your stereo do? Better sound quality?
