In a shocking turn of events, GM dealers are reportedly REFUSING to sell EVs, preferring to QUIT rather than embrace the EV future. Dealers’ Pessimism Toward EVs Has Reached an all-time low! Is this a major setback for GM, or a sign of deeper issues with EV Cars? 😊 Hey guys! We created the Chase Car channel to give viewers a broad overview of the upcoming new cars from the top car manufacturers. We are huge fans of pickup trucks of all sizes: compact, mid-size and full-size trucks. So mostly, we will cover new upcoming trucks, but besides that, here you can find a lot of content about new sedans and SUVs too.
The Electric Vehicle wave sooner or later will become huge, so this type of content might appear on this channel from time to time. But as we are still on the way to becoming fully electrical, we mostly cover fossil cars from many amazing brands.

The cold, the resistance of driving in snow, the enormous power needs to run the hydraulics, heat. There is no way any battery could last long. I do not think that most people realize that if you are traveling long distances the electricity used to charge your EV (assuming you find a charger) can cost the consumer nearly as much as similar amount of gas per mile. And you have to wait at least 20 minutes to fill up and you hope the charger is not in use. AND here in the cold North your range can be cut by 25 percent so you get to charge up usually less than 200 miles.
My F150 can go over 600 miles on the highway on one tank. And it’s paid for and cheaper to insure and it won’t burn my house down or require lithium from slave labor in China.

In the past 5 years we bough north of $150K of brand new vehicles for our family and none of those where EVs nor hybrids.
One of them is a 2019 Buick Envision Premium for my wife and a couple years ago the guys at the Buick dealer sent me an email about trading it in for a new Buick and I responded that since GM was planning on only having EVs , we where not planning on buying GM products anymore.... They didn't responded my email.
We don't hate EVs but we do hate how EVs are coming to us....
It is nothing about the technology capabilities and everything to do with freedom:
The ONLY reason EVs are being thought as a mainstream transportation solution is because a corrupt go vernment that is operating completely out of its scope (defined in the constitution), is working hard to IMPOSE this for the sake of enriching the po liticians so no, we will not buy EVs.
I may buy a $120K diesel truck or a full size SUV with a V8 in it but I'll not buy a Model S or X even if its price is $25K .....

GM’s CEO and board of directors have walked ignored their fiduciary duty to the company shareholders. They should be held accountable. Tesla was doing a very reasonable job of moving forward into what was, and remains a very niche market. Now at the urging of a tiny number of activists and politicians the manufacturers who had no depth in this area have jumped into production and flooded a market with inferior vehicles that can’t be sold.

Sending mechanics to school ( those who would even want to go ), replacing the EV trainees with competent ICE mechanics, and even having to send them to your brand's ICE training classes. GM had the market in hand with the VOLT.
The VOLT was the perfect intermediate car that used battery alone for the first 50 to 80 miles then swtiched to the gas "extender" generator which ran off a 7 gallon gas tank for 300 miles.
This absolutely eliminates any anxiety on the road because you dont charge, you use the Extender.
all the Ev cars with one exception, TESLA, have struggled with the long range and charging. After market charging stations dont work or are not available or only charge at half rate, and that is IF you can get the charge station to accept your charge card.
Pure nonsense if you think you are going to change from a ICE society over to an EV market. Are they nuts?
GM discontinued the golden goose and suffered with the EV BOLT and now they are dropping it too.
Whoever is making decions at GM, Mary Barra, needs to reaccess how she makes decisions in life because she blew that one.

It would be cheaper to burn money to power a steam generator to generate electricity to power most of the charge points. It's either feast or famine. Inner city charge points are too few and too busy and charge points outside of cities which there still have to be would get too little business.
