I watched Monday. It struck me a lot differently than I imagined. The ending wasn't "satisfying" and I felt like I was left hanging. But the more I reflected on the movie, the more I felt how "truthful" this movie is. I don't think the movie was meant to be "satisfying." Love is random, chaotic, and spontaneous. The movie was so raw and truthful that I somehow relate to it a lot.

I really liked the realism, love isn’t always a honeymoon, and it’s hard to walk away from when it’s real. Real love can exist even when there are turbulent elements in your partner that might be destructive to you, you end up mirroring your partner in an effort to keep them. Love is reasons, though-I kinda don’t believe in unconditional love. You always need some kind of incentive to stay: loyalty, attraction, support, hope, protection. They both knew they had to soldier on for the sake of his son, and it was a mature and practical move for them (the first I really saw of them in the movie as they we’re very much in some kind of a wallowing Purgatory/fever dream of sex and drifting instead of making mutual conscious decisions in their lives) They are both imperfect people and I know some people will say they are toxic, but I don’t think they are. It’s just real and messy...some relationships are harder to navigate to others, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth keeping when it gets hard.
I think it's such a great trait of Sebastian that he can praise other people or other projects so honest and authentic. Like when he's taking about Kevin Feige he seemed to be in his next thought about why he is such an amazing person before even ending the one his is currently expressing.
I am over the moon excited to watch this movie and part of the reason why is because of the passion in the way Sebastian talks about this movie. His answers are always so thoughtful.

I watched this movie last night and it was absolutely incredible and definitely my favorite role Sebastian has done. He’s so proud of this movie and he seemed like he had genuine fun making it. Denise & his chemistry was undeniable and so amazing.
I honestly really do love his looks and every physical detail of this man but is interviews like this one where I truly fall for him, every time I hear him speak his heart out and stutter when he’s trying to express his thoughts and talk so passionately about something that you feel his excitement and see the emotion is his eyes, I just can’t stop smiling he makes my heart so happy

I thought that this movie was amazing. The story was so moving to watch as the couple’s relationship developed. The acting was superb and the scenery was beautiful. I too love foreign films and this one is at the top of the list for the authenticity and honesty it projected. It reminded me of Before Sunrise but in an extended way. The end scene was heartwarming to say the least. It would be wonderful to see another movie in a few years to catch up on the relationship and their journey.
