@AriaKyuKyu I do not mind tactical rpgs , but I wish there could be also new one in classical pixel art style. MS6 was not bad, but I was not fan of new art style for background graphics.
It's already so gooooooood. I battled to my hearts content, using Eri's hurricane kit alongside Tarma's classic kit and Ralf's classic kit. It's legitimately an up-close battle everywhere, so many combinations, so much fun. (And the bugs are quick to get around).
I totally agree! Metal Slug Tactics is really honoring the series' roots by focusing on details, key characters, and tactical depth that gives it a fresh and exciting feel. Including iconic characters like the Ikari Warriors expands the Metal Slug universe without losing the strategic focus. On the other hand, Metal Slug Awakening could learn a lot about the importance of balancing gameplay with respect for the original story, rather than focusing on monetization mechanics.
The art style is pretty good. I like how they keep the portraits as it is hard for me to distinct the pixel arts characters. It is also not blurry like HD-2D game (stupid term).
I've always played Metal Slug games since Metal Slug 7 on a Nintendo DS and it's so AWESOME to get 2 Metal Slug games in this year Metal Slug Awakening and this Metal Slug Tactics strategy version of Metal Slug that I would LOVE to play on a Nintendo Switch! ❤
This game was being marketed as a mobile game available on android and ios 6 months ago, now its being released on consoles as well, this game is going to be full of microtransactions
not going to lie i dont think metal slug has enough character building to make a tactical RPG. I hope it does well so we can have a modern metal slug game
It's either This or Metal Slug: Awakening unless you wait for Metal Slug 09 which likely won't happen unless SNK will recycle older Arcade sprites like they did with MSA and make it like the old games.
This doesn't have anything metal slugs..... it just looks like a boring generic tactics game. No over the top action and explosions, no voices,.... . seems like milking a franchise😢
