I am 53 yrs past my oath of enlistment, in a wheel chair and on full-time oxygen. Only for the 1st 3days of Boot Camp, have I ever been tempted to renounce my allegiance to the Marine Corps and my brothers and sisters in arms. For a man who used to run up and down mountains, to have learned just how fragile his body can be, is traumatic in itself. One of the few things to perk me up and ignite the smoldering coals of Patriotism, is the sound of the Marines Hymn or Boots & cadence on a grinder

@@joelindubois393 well, i definitely dont regret it. Made some amazing friends who I still stay in touch with. Traveled to a bunch of places in the world i probably would have never gone to. I learned a lot about a lot of things. Dont get me wrong there were plenty of moments of pure misery, but the infantry will do that to you lol. You appreciate all those moments a lot more once youre out though, and there are a lot of times where i desperately miss it. If youre thinking about joining, do it and make the most out of it. There may be times youll think that you regret it, but as you get older youll realize how important everything was.

Though I'm not yet a Marine, I think it's definitely important that you make sure you join for the right reason because that's what's gonna get you through boot camp and drive your success in the Marines. That's what our recruiters tell us. As for the nay-sayers, just block them out and think about your life and what you wanna do. I'm sure a Marine could give better advice but that's my take on it.

I've been wanting to join the Marines for about 3 years now. Always reading about them and visiting there website. Now as a senior in high school, my time is coming. But recently, my friends tell me that they "fuck you over", such as like forcing you to re-sign again, them not taking care of you incase you get injured, and them not "guaranteeing" ANY of the benefits offered. I want to sign for a 4-year contract and want to keep studying after but I really am hoping to get help from the G.I Bill.

The Marine Corps NEVER force you to Re-enlist trust me on that. If you only want to do 4 years and get out, you can. If you do your time "honorably" in the Marine Corps you get your GI Bill fair and square and whatever other benefits you rate. Just make sure you READ the entire contract before you sign it. ASK questions, find a Marine on active duty and ask questions. Many Marines say the recruiters screwed them over but they always fail to read the contract and ask all the questions.

I knew in an instant it was stolen valor due to the obviously messed up sign. No real Marine would ever fuck that up, EVER. I hope that valor stealing POS is crucified. he was near the Price Chopper in Worcester, MA. by elm park. probably still running his racket to this day. it's a desecration to the veterans who died for us.

yeah well its one thing to be always faithful, but don't forget to be their for the ones ya'll love hey even the best Generals and soldiers and the most committed still need to leave time for love, rest, relaxation, maintaining your inner peace and quality time with souls you want in your presence....we are all human and we all need that TLC even some guidance from another, small as it may be.
We all have our natural strengths and weak areas that we give extra work on developing with ourselves Semper Fidelis has a different meaning to many, some it may be country, some it might be humans fight in their existence or aspects to overcome, to others it may be preservation of life on Earth collectively, some like myself is to be loyal and faithful to the gods and goddesses which gave us life some take it to that extra level of the gods and goddesses bestowing their unquestionable faith in a child soul they have created that a particular child will never lead them astray or construct a fabrication of imagined facts they present in the facts bestowed upon them by those gods.
Irrespective, I have taken the time to direct my words towards those soldiers that have made a noticeable commitment to that standing Backbone of a specie......remember we are all children below the gods and the goddesses we owe our lives to, to bring to relevant people areas of concern we can see, but remember guys, gals, or what ever your gender may be, we are only human and we do hurt we do have pain that we feel our creating beings understand this and know that no sentient form of life wants to feel pain or hurt. so do what you think is required, fight if you deem it a must but trust if not in beings that created genesis of life and ourselves in the Back bone our ancestors have built that military back bone which resides in the highest levels of military, your not alone and the fact you took the time to voice it to relevant area then you contributed to its survival to keep it out of darkness, and your efforts are appreciated by those that matter, but we all have our own nirvana or concept of heavenly existence and you did your part for survival of the continuing survival of life on earth but you also owe it to yourselves to find your state of nirvana or heaven whatever that may be, I am sure many will agree that one souls heaven can be another souls hell.

anonplanz - I feel sorry for you. Service and sacrifice for your Country, brothers and sisters in arms, and fellow citizens of America is a noble cause. The wilingness to lay down one's life for another human being, as Marine's often do, is the pinnacle of love and honor. Unfortunately there has been and always will be wars among men and nations. Whether you believe in a religious context - good versus evil on earth, or simply natural science where you have competition for natural resources.

I have seen a Marine a Seal that went through hell , no one cared except your 45th President. He saved him. Everyone knows from whom he saved him and why . Fighting to the last in Righteousness is a Creedo of loyalty love to the soul not for politics. I don’t divide on My Words. I Am God. I Am a Double Edge Sword Of Righteousness.
I said in the past and I will write it today for you :
I Have Rested In Peace and washed away the sins and the Transgressions of Saddam Hussein. None have the right to Transgress against the Book of the dead , it’s a sin .
Your 2 officiers that are involved have to confess their sins. I am not here for the satisfaction of the deep state nor their financial satisfaction.
What happened with General Flynn is wrong and transgression. (It’s always the same crowd)
The world wants Peace not Pretended ways of peace. You shall never try to lecture me on Holy Scriptures.
You have an oath to Protect Execute the orders of the USA President that’s where your loyalty remains.
He fought with everything he have for the people , their freedoms their rights and he did it all in Righteousness.
Games I don’t play games, I don’t like them. Sacrifice is not a shopping verse that you stop on just for the satisfaction of politics. None can steal me , I have already stolen the world in Righteousness.
None will ever again explain The Cross to his satisfaction.
The Sacrifice was made , scriptures were written, history moved forward, and the transgressors have kept their ways.
This is the Second Come Forever ♾ More.

Army and Navy pull all the weight? hah So if Marines don't "do the work," PLEASE by all means, state your facts. Here's one of Marines doing work. Anbar Province, Iraq, Battle of Fallujah March 2004: Army loses control of Fallujah, Marines sent into replace them. Control of the city is taken and given back to local government. November 2004 Operation "Phantom Fury" takes place. Heavy hostile resistance and Marines still come out on top. Army sends leaders to marvel and learn from Marine tactics.

In a way, your constant ranting about hating something so cool, is kind of a beautiful thing. Marines, Army Soldiers, Sailors, all of them fight so we can keep freedoms and people can say what they want.
